Moving Target Tracking and Recognition for Location Based Surveillance Service (위치기반 감시 서비스를 위한 이동 객체 추적 및 인식)

  • In this paper, we propose image process modeling as a part of location based surveillance system for unauthorized target recognition and tracking in harbor, airport, military zone. For this, we compress and store background image in lower resolution and perform object extraction and motion tracking by using sobel edge detection and difference picture method between real images and a background image. In addition to, we use Independent Component Analysis Neural Network for moving target recognition. Experiments are performed for object extraction and tracking of moving targets on road by using static camera in 20m height building and it shows the robust results.

  • This paper proposes a moving window technique that extracts lanes and vehicles using the images captured by a CCD camera equipped inside an automobile in real time. For the purpose, first of all the optimal size of moving window is determined based upon speed of the vehicle, road curvature, and camera parameters. Within the moving windows that are dynamically changing, lanes and vehicles are extracted, and the vehicles within the driving lanes are classified as obstacles. Assuming highway driving, there are two sorts of image-objects within the driving lanes: one is ground mark to show the limit speed or some information for driving, and the other is the vehicle as an obstacle. Using characteristics of three-dimension objects, a neural network can be trained to distinguish the vehicle from ground mark. When it is recognized as an obstacle, the distance from the camera to the front vehicle can be calculated with the aids of database that keeps the models of automobiles on the highway. The correctness of this measurement is verified through the experiments comparing with the radar and laser sensor data.

  • This paper provides an overview of Pakistan Railways scheduling and rescheduling. First of all, Pakistan Railways is introduced with its brief history and importance in this country. Assets of this network with passengers and freight using this are given. Current hope less situation is leading to privatization of this system as well as promoting short distance traveler to use road and Government efforts to retain is also presented. Train scheduling in Pakistan is being done manually, based on manual time distance graph preparation and resolution of conflicts based on manager's experience and ability. In Real-time management of this traffic Lahore head office is connected with six control stations in the Pakistan, decision for resolution of any disturbance is coordinated among them. It is recommended that computer aided tools must be developed for this system to help traffic managers and it is needed to invest on the segments to increase their speed limits which might attract passengers to use this mode of transportation with high priority.

  • 21세기는 생물자원을 이용한 산업이 많은 분야의 발전을 이끌어 나간다고 해도 과언이 아닐 정도로 현재 많은 분야에서 생물자원의 보전과 활용에 대한 활발한 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 이러한 것은 생물자원부국이 앞으로의 선진 국가를 의미하는 것으로 자원이 부족한 국내 실정으로는 더욱더 많은 관심을 가지고 이를 해결해야만 하는 과제를 가지고 있다. 생물분야의 연구는 타 분야와는 다르게 지금까지 외면되어 왔기 때문에 정보화에 대한 마인드가 부족하여 대부분의 정보가 디지털화되어 운용되어지지 못하고 있으며, 운용되어지는 정보는 서로 표준화되지 못해서 정보의 재사용이나 공동활용이 부족한 실정이다. 정보로서의 가치를 가지기 위해서는 표준화되어 사용자가 원하는 정보로의 가공을 거쳐 Real-Time 접근이 가능해야만 한다. 본 논문에서는 생물자원이 가지고 있는 정보의 운용을 효율적으로 구축하기 위하여 국내 생물자원 네트워크 구성, 생물자원정보 통합 방법, 표준화를 위한 DTD작성과 데이터베이스 구축을 위한 컴포넌트를 이용한 입력시스템 구축, 미디에이터 기법을 이용한 분산통합, GRM(Global Road Map) 작성을 통한 효율적인 정보의 접근이 가능한 시스템 구축을 목적으로 한다.

  • Extended reality (XR) provides an immersive virtual experience by using various media. The XR virtual environment enables interactions between the real and virtual worlds in virtual, augmented, and mixed reality scenarios. XR is being used in various areas such as industry, medical care, road transportation, gaming, education, and culture. XR and multimedia enhancement are important business scenarios for fifth-generation (5G) mobile networks. As users' demand for emerging media services gradually increases, enhancements in networks should be implemented for delivering multimedia services such as XR. We describe related standardization trends and requirements of the XR service in 5G mobile networks. We also discuss technological enhancements for 5G mobile networks as specified by the 3GPP SA2 working group.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop micro simulation model for large-scale network with driver's behavior model. This study is performed for uninterrupted flow road section. And this model is developed to simulate traffic flow of the real network with unique geometric structure. A Method for Improving Accuracy of Image Matching Algorithm for Car Navigation System

  • Recently, various in-vehicle networks have been developed respectively in order to accomplish their own purposes such as CAN and MOST. Especially, the MOST network is usually adapted to provide entertainment service. The car navigation system is also widely used for guiding driving paths to driver. The position for the navigation system is usually acquired by GPS technology. However, the GPS technique has two serious problems. The first is unavailability in urban canyons. The second is inherent positional error rate. The problems have been studied in many literatures. However, the second still leads to incorrect locational information in some area, especially parallel roads. This paper proposes a performance tuning method of image matching algorithm for the car navigation system. The method utilizes images obtained from in-vehicle MOST network and a real-time image matching algorithm which determines the direction of moving vehicle in parallel section of road. In order to accuracy improvement of image matching algorithm, three conditions are applied. The experimental tests show that the proposed system increases the accuracy.

  • Dynamic origin-destination (OD) trip matrix has been widely used for transportation fields such as dynamic traffic assignment, traffic operation and travel demand management, which needs precise OD trip matrix to be collected. This paper presents a quasi-dynamic OD matrix estimation model and applies it to real road network for collecting the dynamic OD matrix. The estimation model combined with dynamic traffic assignment program, DYNASMART-P, is based on GPS embedded in PDA, which developed for collecting sample dynamic OD matrix. The sample OD matrix should be expanded by the value of optimal sampling ratio calculated from minimization program. From application to real network of Jeju, we confirm that the model and its algorithm produce a reasonable solution.

  • This paper is based on the ubiquitous network of telematics technology, equipped with a black box to the car by a unique address given to IPv6. The driver's black box at startup and operation of certification, and the car's driving record handling video signals in real-time sensor signals handling to analyze the records. Through the recorded data is encrypted transmission, and the Ubiquitous network of base stations, roadside sensors through seamless mobility and location tracking data to be generated. This is a file of Transportation Traffic Operations Center as a unique address IPv6 records stored in the database. The car is equipped with a black box used on the road go to Criminal cases, the code automotive black boxes recovered from the addresses and IPv6, traffic records stored in a database to compare the data integrity verification and authentication via secure. This material liability in the courtroom and the judge Forensic data are evidence of the recognition as a highly secure. convenient and knowledge in the information society will contribute to human life.

Assessing the Real-time Positioning Accuracy of Low-cost GPS Receiver using NTRIP-based Augmentation Service (Ntrip 기반 보정서비스를 활용한 저가 GPS 수신기의 실시간 측위 정확도 평가)

  • This paper presents the static and kinematic positioning accuracy by the real-time GPS positioning modes of the low-cost GPS receivers using NTRIP-based augmentation service. For this, acquires both the raw measurements data of the field tests by LEA 6T GPS module of u-blox AG, and correction communication via NTRIP caster with RTKLIB as an open source program for GNSS solution. With computing the positions of the check points and road tracks by six kinds of GPS positioning modes which are Single, SBAS, DGPS, PPP, RTK, and TCP/IP_RTK, compared these results to the reference position of the check points. The position error average and rmse of the static test by GPS L1 RTK surveying showed $N=0.002m{\pm}0.001m$, $E=0.004m{\pm}0.001m$ in horizontal plane, and $h=-0.116m{\pm}0.003m$ in vertical, these results are very closed to the coordinates with the geodetic receiver. Especially, in case of the kinematic test with obstacles located on both sides of road, the computed track with ambiguity fixing showed very similar trajectory considerably from VRS network RTK mode. And also, evaluate and verify the performance of the TCP/IP_RTK mode developed based on TCP/IP protocol.
