This paper presents the development of RFID educational system based on using 900MHz air interface between the reader and the active tag. The software of reader and the active tag is developed on embedded environment, and the software of PC controlling the reader is based on window OS operated as the server. The AT89C51ED2 VLSI chip is used for the processor of the reader and the active tag. As the development environment, Keil compiler is used for the reader and the active tag of which the programing language is C. The visual C language of the visual studio on the PC activated as the server is used for development language. To verify the function of the system, PC gets the tag's identification number through the reader and send the data to with the active tag memory a certain contents as "wite" operation. Finally the data written from the active tag's memory is sent to the PC via the reader as "read" operation and compare the received data with one already sent to the tag.

RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) technology is an automatic identification method using radio frequencies between RFID reader which collects the informatin and tag which transmits the information. RFID technology develops passive RFID which transmit the only ID to active RFID which transmit the additional information such as sensing information. there is ISO/IEC 18000-7 as typical standard of active RFID. it is single channel system of 433.92MHz and has limitation of collection of a number of tags. to overcome limitation of collection of many tags, we propose the new 2.4GHz active RFID technology which can use the multi-channel. if reader has multi-interface and uses another channel in each, reader could fast collect the tags. but, if a reader which has many interfaces collects tags through the specific interface, the performance may not improve any more comparing with a reader using single interface. in this paper, we show the fast collection through design and implementation of protocol for load balancing between interfaces in multi-interface RFID reader.

In the RFID system, multiple tags respond in the process of identifying multiple tags in the reader's interrogation zone, resulting in collisions. Tag collision occurs when two or more tags respond to one reader, so that the reader cannot identify any tags. These collisions make it hard for the reader to identify all tags within the interrogation zone and delays the identifying time. In some cases, the reader cannot identify any tags. The reader needs the anti-collision algorithm which can quickly identify all the tags in the interrogation zone. The proposed algorithm efficiently divides tag groups through an efficient separation to respond, preventing collisions. Moreover, the proposed algorithm identifies tags without checking all the bits in the tags. The prediction with efficient separation reduces the number of the requests from the reader.

Recently, Tan et al. introduced a serverless search protocol in which a mobile reader maintains a tag authentication list and authenticates a tag using the list without connecting authentication server. A serverless RFID system is different from general RFID systems which use on-line server models. In the serverless RFID system, since the mobility of a personalized reader must be considered, we have to protect not only the privacy of a tag but also the privacy of a mobile reader. In this paper, we define new security requirements for serverless RFID search system and propose a secure serverless RFID search system. In our system, since tag authentication information maintained by a reader is updated in every session, we can provide the backward untraceability of a mobile reader. Also we use an encrypted timestamp to block a replay attack which is major weakness of search protocols. In addition, we define a new adversary model to analyze a serverless RFID search system and prove the security of our proposed system using the model.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the accessibility of the Cakewalk SI-Drum for the screen reader users. An evaluation was performed by testing the accessibility of the [Virtual Instrument Editing] that is a part of MIDI Production of the NCS(National Competency Standards) by using the SI-Drum and the Sense Reader. The results of this study are as follows. The SI-Drum has almost no basic accessibility for the screen users to do an above task. But the screen reader users can perform the tasks by using Sense Reader's Mouse Pointer function and Position Memory function. To use SI-Drum more efficiently, SI-Drum's basic accessibility have to be provided fully. Several suggestions are proposed to develop a fully accessible SI-Drum for the screen users.
Recently, a considerable number of studies have been made on the $RFID^{[1-6]}$ systems. RFID is a technique of identifying an object using radio frequency transmission. The technology can be used to identify, track, sort or detect a wide variety of objects. The RFID system is composed of two main elements: a reader and a tag. Tags can either be active (powered by battery) or passive (powered by the reader field). The passive tags communicate back to the reader with a technique called 'backscatter'. RFID technology can be applied to the supply chain, security, logistics industry and etc. Especially, UHF RFID is worth noticing because of its relatively long identification range and commercial UHF RFID systems are under development. In this paper, we designed and implemented a UHF RFID reader firmware for ISO/IEC 18000-6 Type B specification.

We have studied DC energy conversion of RF card by wireless communication. In order to attain an objective, it used the system which is a Rectenna. The main purpose of energy conversion system is the operation of the circuits at RF-ID system. The proposed RF-ID system is a lot classified with the reader and tag. Reader is a kind of the base station role supporting RF energy. And priority tag convert RF energy from the reader it was delivered with a wireless to DC energy. The energy which is converted like Tag. It transmits to the reader characteristic ID of each card. The tag is mainly divided into rectifier, power module, memory and controller. The FRAM maintains the data like a ROM in no-power situation. And the advantage is a low power element compared with other EEPROM. There are two considerations, when RF energy is converted into DC source by wireless. One is energy amount supported from the reader, the other is high power efficiency. This paper presents a study of simulation and experiments on the RF-DC conversion circuit in tag by the power efficiency concentrated.
Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is an automatic identification method. Information such as identification, logistics history, and specification of products are written and stored into the memory of RFID tags (that is, transponders), and retrieved through RF communication between RFID reader device and RFID tags. RFID systems have been applied to many fields of transportation, industry, logistics, environment, etc in order to improve business efficiency and reduce maintenance cost as well. Recently, some research results are announced in which RFID devices are combined with other sensors for mobile robot localization. In this paper, design of multi-protocol baseband for RFID reader device is proposed, and the baseband modem is implemented into SoC (System On a Chip). The baseband modem SoC for multi-protocol RFID reader is composed of several IP (Intellectual Property) blocks such as multi-protocol blocks, CPU, UART(Universal Asynchronous Receiver and Transmitter), memory, etc. As a result, the SoC implemented with FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array) is applied to real product. It is shown that the size of RFID Reader module designed with the FPGA becomes smaller, and the SoC chip price for the same function becomes cheap. In addition, operation performance could be the same or better than that of the product with no SoC applied.
There has been a significant paradigm shift in the book industry from print to digital, with the increased use of electronic books (e-books) on e-book readers. The major online booksellers and publishers are devoting their energies to the growth of the e-book market, resulting in an upward spiral in e-book usage, and a resultant increase in the number of downloaded e-books in an e-book reader library. However, there are comparatively few features for e-book management and search in most e-book reader libraries, particularly in smartphone environments. In addition, the user interfaces of e-book management in e-book readers are highly diverse, which has led to major usability issues. In this paper, we analyze user preferences for e-book management and search in the libraries of the five most commonly used e-readers for the Android smartphone platform via a questionnaire survey. Then, we suggest ideal alternatives in addition to user-friendly features based on user preferences for managing e-book libraries, to allow users to more easily browse collections, thereby enhancing the usability of e-book readers.

This paper presents the software design of RFID Educational system based on using 900MHz air interface between the reader and the tag. Software of the reader and active tag is developed on embedded environment and the software of PC controlling the reader is on window OS. ATmega128 processor is used for H/W of the reader and active tag, and C language is used for their developing. Programming on window OS used MFC. Main functions of this system are to control tag containing EPC global Data by PC through the reader, to obtain information of tag through the internet and to read/write data on tag memory. Software design of 900MHz RFID educational system is done on the basis of these functions.
