  • As Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) image can be acquired regardless of the weather and day or night, it is highly recommended to be used for Automatic Target Recognition (ATR) in the fields of surveillance, reconnaissance, and national security. However, there are some limitations in terms of cost and operation to build various and vast amounts of target images for the SAR-ATR system. Recently, interest in the development of an ATR system based on simulated SAR images using a target model is increasing. Attributed Scattering Center (ASC) matching and template matching mainly used in SAR-ATR are applied to target classification. The method based on ASC matching was developed by World View Vector (WVV) feature reconstruction and Weighted Bipartite Graph Matching (WBGM). The template matching was carried out by calculating the correlation coefficient between two simulated images reconstructed with adjacent points to each other. For the performance analysis of the two proposed methods, the Synthetic and Measured Paired Labeled Experiment (SAMPLE) dataset was used, which has been recently published by the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). We conducted experiments under standard operating conditions, partial target occlusion, and random occlusion. The performance of the ASC matching is generally superior to that of the template matching. Under the standard operating condition, the average recognition rate of the ASC matching is 85.1%, and the rate of the template matching is 74.4%. Also, the ASC matching has less performance variation across 10 targets. The ASC matching performed about 10% higher than the template matching according to the amount of target partial occlusion, and even with 60% random occlusion, the recognition rate was 73.4%.

  • In this paper, we proposed an efficient algorithm based on SPFA(shortest path faster algorithm), which is an improved the Bellman-Ford algorithm. The Bellman-Ford algorithm can be used on graphs with negative edge weights unlike Dijkstra's algorithm. And SPFA algorithm used a queue to store the nodes, to avoid redundancy, though the Bellman-Ford algorithm takes a long time to update the nodes table. In this improved algorithm, an adjacency list is also used to store each vertex of the graph, applying dynamic optimal approach. And a queue is used to store the data. The improved algorithm can find the optimal path by continuous relaxation operation to the new node. Simulations to compare the efficiencies for Dijkstra's algorithm, SPFA algorithm and improved Bellman-Ford were taken. The result shows that Dijkstra's algorithm, SPFA algorithm have almost same efficiency on the random graphs, the improved algorithm, although the improved algorithm is not desirable, on grid maps the proposed algorithm is very efficient. The proposed algorithm has reduced two-third times processing time than SPFA algorithm.

  • An automatic facial feature points(FFPs) detection system is proposed. A face is represented as a graph where the nodes are placed at facial feature points(FFPs) labeled by their Gabor features and the edges are describes their spatial relations. An innovative flexible feature matching is proposed to perform features correspondence between models and the input image. This matching model works likes random diffusion process in the image space by employing the locally competitive and globally corporative mechanism. The system works nicely on the face images under complicated background, pose variations and distorted by facial accessories. We demonstrate the benefits of our approach by its implementation on the system.

  • In this paper, we propose a novel analysis and design methodology based on complex network theory for wireless large-scale ad hoc networks. We also enhance the conventional analysis methods which does not sufficiently consider the effect of the wireless communication channels and extend the existing random graph theory by reflecting the wireless communication environments. As a main result, the effect of the network topology such as average degree of each communication node on the network capacity through extensive computer simulations.

  • Purpose - This research strives to analyze and investigate customers' perception of the dimensions of service quality at retails in Makassar Municipality of Indonesia Country. This research tries to present its results empirically, which might be helpful to prepare a strategy to improve the service quality at retail companies. Research design, data, and methodology - The research uses Parasuraman's in 1985 unmodified SERVQUAL approach. This research is conducted using a questionnaire by purposive random sampling with 150 housewives customers who are met while they are shopping. The object of the study included several retail companies such as Alfa Mart, Alfa Midi, and Indomart operating in Makassar, Indonesia, which has been serving in 2017. Analysis was conducted by quantitative descriptive analysis, measurement of variable dimensions on the questionnaire using a Likert scale, and using cartecius graph and quadrant graphs to determine the gap size of each variable. Result - This research finds that the tangible and empathy dimensions such as product layout and lighting condition should be prioritized, and the empathy dimension whose gap value is too prominent such us peak load time condition and problem-solving adjustment. Conclusion - The second priority is responsiveness dimensions, and the last priority is reliability and assurance dimensions.

  • The present study was carried out to summarize the effect of propolis in the diabetic rats by meta-analysis related studies. The association measure to test effect of propolis was Hedges's standardized mean difference between group of rats induced streptozotocin(STZ) or alloxan and group of rats induced STZ or alloxan treated with propolis about the considered 4 effect factors. In this particular fixed-effect model, blood glucose, Cholesterol, Triglyceride were significantly reduce. The case of heterogenous variable such as body weight, blood glucose, cholesterol, triglyceride, random-effect model was applied. In this model, blood glucose, triglyceride were decreased significantly in propolis treated group. According to the meta-regression analysis, period of injection was significant for body weight and blood glucose, cholesterol.
