기존선 철도구조물 접속부의 보강에 대한 고찰 (A Study of Reinforcement of Railway Structure Approaches in Conventional line)

  • Korean trains pass many mountain areas, so the volume of structures like bridge and tunnel has large part of railway lines. Train speed-up naturally needs a straight line in railway, then structures are increasing, and this influences passenger's comfort and the safety of operation, and it needs more track maintenance. The stiffness of bridge and tunnel is higher than the soil in the roadbed in spite of dynamic difference in vibration and displacement. Differences in stiffness have more dynamic effects and increase the deformation and destruction in the track and roadbed. This study will measure periodically to structure's approaches which have very fast track irregularity and analyze dynamic differences and track irregularity near structure's approaches, so realize the cause of track irregularity of structure's approaches and use basic data for reasonably strengthening method of structure's approaches.

  • The important source of noise from railways is rolling noise caused by wheel and rail vibrations induced by acoustic roughness at the wheel-rail contact. The main contributors for rolling noise are the sleepers, rail and wheels. In order to analyze and predict rolling noise, it is necessary to understand the vibrating behaviors of railway tracks, as well as the wheels. In the present paper, theoretical modelings of the railway track are reviewed in terms of the rolling noise, and they are applied for the three representative types of domestic railway tracks operated: the conventional ballasted track, KTX ballasted track and KTX concrete track. The characteristics of waves propagating along rails were investigated and compared between the tracks. The tracks were modeled as discretely supported Timoshenko beams and compared in terms of the averaged squared amplitude of velocity which is directly related to the sound radiation from the rails.

콘크리트 궤도의 동결깊이 및 동상량 측정 연구 (A Study of Frost Penetration Depth and Frost Heaving in Railway Concrete Track)

  • 계절적 동토 지역에 건설되는 도로, 철도 등의 구조물은 동결 융해의 반복으로 인한 기후조건으로 인해 동상 피해가 발생한다. 구조물 건설 시 동결깊이는 계절적 동토 지역에 건설되는 도로, 철도의 구조물 설계에 매우 중요한 요소이다. 본 연구에서는 현장시험시공을 통한 고속철도 콘크리트 궤도의 동결깊이 및 동상량 계측을 수행하였다. 강원도, 경기도, 충청북도 철도노선 인근에 모형 콘크리트 궤도를 설치한 후 메틸렌블루를 이용한 동결깊이와 동상량을 측정하였다. 본 연구를 통해 계측된 최대 동결깊이 및 동상량은 국내 한랭지 철도노반설계를 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

고속철도 궤도유지보수 일정계획에 관한 연구 (A Study on Track Maintenance Scheduling of High-Speed Railway)

  • The track of high-speed railway get deteriorated according as using it. In that case, the maintenance jobs are needed for improvement of track quality. A scheduling problem for the track maintenance of high-speed railway is to determine the jobs should be performed daily. In the problem, the set of jobs for maintenance is given. Each job has it's parameters such as due date, emergency level, and processing time. In addition, jobs can be worked during a certain fixed time when the train doesn't move. In this study, we developed a mathematical model of the scheduling problem for the maintenance of high-speed railway and solved the problem using the ILOG CPLEX library.

  • Jointless AF(Audio Frequency) Track Circuit is more comfortable than exist joint track circuit. This electrical circuit's function is detection train on rail, and transmit information between wayside and vehicle. 'Korea Railroad Corporation' proposed for revision of the Korean railway standards(KRS SG 0038-06 R, 2006.5.16) "Non-insulated AF Track Circuit". This proposal equipment developed to extend use for station of National Railway exist line. According to test standards Korean railway safety law and its ordinances, which were committed to Korea Railroad Research Institute, the professional committee 'Railway facility sector II' have helded on January in 2007. In this investigation, the changed test norm will be review the difference of important function test standards of new version to conform effectivity and safety test procedure according to the KS A 1025.

  • Anemometers to examine the characteristics of the natural wind in the vicinity of the railway track has been installed in two spots, one at the Cheon-Asan station of the Seoul-Busan high-speed line, and the other at the Daechon station of the Changhang conventional railway line in 2006 to examine the characteristics of the natural wind around the railway track to estimate the actual wind speed acting on the train and to develop the wind gust model consisting with the Korean climate condition. The measured data shows that the instant wind velocity frequently exceeds the velocity of train speed restriction, 20m/s, and the actual wind velocities measured in the vicinity of the track are larger than the that measured by the Korean Meteorological Administration(KMA) because the anemometers are installed on the highly-elevated bridges.

  • In this study the basic direction of conceptual design of new HSR(High Speed Railway) slab track was determined in the viewpoint of running safety, economic efficiency and maintenance costs. Based on the research results, a detailed conceptual design of HRS slab track is suggested. For the systematic development of slab track, a comparative study is carried out, comparing merits and demerits of each slab type, and used in the design process of slab track. To compensate the demerits of high cost in slab track construction, a program for determination of efficient slab section is coded and applied.

  • In the track geometry such as rails, sleepers, ballasts and fastener, track deterioration occurs by repetitive train weight and the high-speed railway takes a trend faster than normal. Track deterioration of over threshold value harms ride comfort and furthermore affect in trains safety seriously. An organic and systematic track maintenance system is very important because a trend of the track deterioration effects on track life-cycle and running safety. Also costs of the railway track permanent way and its maintenance are extremely large, forming a significant part of the total infrastructure expenditure. Therefor reasonable and efficient track maintenance has to be planed on a budget. It is required to carry out not only corrective maintenance but preventive maintenance for the track maintenance. In order to perform maintenance jobs in the boundary of the machines and resources given regarding the type and amount jobs, it is necessary to determine feasible or optimal scheduling considering the priority. In this study, the system organization and required functions for the development of track maintenance system supported track deterioration prediction and optimal scheduling are proposed.

현장모형실험을 통한 자갈궤도와 콘크리트궤도의 동결심도 및 동상량 측정 (Field Model Tests on Frost Penetration Depths and Frost Heave Amounts in Ballast track and Concrete track)

  • 철도 현장에 실험용 자갈궤도와 콘크리트궤도를 설치한 후 겨울철에 동결심도와 동상량을 측정하였다. 그 결과 같은 동결지수일 때 자갈궤도보다 콘크리트궤도의 동결심도가 깊게 나타나는 경향을 보였다. 또한 자갈궤도는 하부에 XPS, PE골재층을 포설할 경우 동결심도가 크게 감소하였고, 콘크리트궤도에서는 입도조정층의 두께를 늘릴 경우 동결심도가 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 동상량 역시 자갈궤도에서는 하부에 XPS, PE골재층을 설치할 경우 감소하였고, 콘크리트궤도에서는 입도조정층의 두께를 증가시킬 경우 감소하는 경향을 보였다.

고속철도 교량상 장대레일의 하절기 온도응력 계측 (Field Test to Investigate the Thermal Stress of Continuous Welded Rail on High Speed Railway Bridges in Summer Period)

  • Most modern railways, especially the high speed railway tracks, use continuous welded rail(CWR) for the less maintenance. For the CWR track has very few expansion joints, track buckling has always been an unpredictable event and it happens mainly by high compressive stress in rail in summer period. Therefore, it is important to understand the variation of rail stress induced by thermal loads which has direct influence on the rail buckling and stability of railway track. This paper describes the experimental investigation of the variation of rail temperature and stress in a high speed railway track on bridge structure. Field measurement was performed to examine the correlation between the rail temperature and rail stress on the Korean High Speed Railway line. Regression functions were derived from measured data to determine the rail stress f3r an arbitrary rail temperature varies from 20 to 50 degree Celsius.
