  • The purpose of a railway track is to provide a smooth surface for safe and economical train transportation. The performance of the track results from a complex interaction of the track and subgrade components in response to train loading and environmental actions. In the past, the role of subgrade as the track foundation were not recognized adequately. There are insufficient information and inadequate methods for subgrade design, assessment and improvement. This situation has survived for a long time largely because a subgrade defect can often be adjusted by adding more ballast under the ties or applying more frequent track maintenance. Therefore, the application of reinforced roadbed technology will be expected to increase in the future. The reinforced roadbed thickness is set depending on subgrade reaction modulus($K_{30}$) in the condition of upper subgrade through PBT in both conventional railroad and KTX railroads. As train velocity (V), train passing tonnage (N), and train axial load (P) are not considered in design, the roadbed thickness could be overestimated (or underestimated). Therefore, in this study has proposed a determination method of reinforced roadbed thickness using design chart made by resilience modulus and properties of earthwork materials.

  • Since KHSL 2nd phase was adapted as a main track design, the interests of concrete slab track system have been gradually increased in the division of rail track engineering and many engineering companies have been trying to adapt a concrete slab track system at this moment. Advantages of this system proved in advanced country, japan and Germany etc. are excellent maintenance, track stability and increasing of buckling resistance This developed turnout is same with the KHSR 1st phase's design and applications rules, components and signaling system since it observes KTX specification. Comparing it with the former turnout, High-elasticity pad, lubrication-free roller slide plate and Rheda2000 PC sleeper are only different. The purpose of this study is the development of high speed turnout on concrete slab track and its application on site. Now these studies are going to show the verification and confidence about the interface between ballast-track and concrete slab track by finding and solving the possible problems when it is installed on site and to make these turnouts applied perfectly and completely on concrete slab track. Its first trial construction in korea had been successfully completed at Sangju-station on July 20th ,2007 thanks to KORAIL and KR. Hereunder Sampyo E&C trys to introduce all of turnout technologies on concrete slab track system with Rheda 2000 sleeper

  • 최근에 철도분야에서는 철도차단시간을 최소화하는 상태에서 현장케도의 동적성능을 향상시키고자하는 노력이 지속되어 왔다. 본 연구에서는 철도케도의 거동 및 동특성규명을 위해 운행선 궤도를 대상으로 도상안정제 살포 전ㆍ후 열차주행시험, 횡저항력시험 및 정ㆍ동적해석을 실시하였다. 이들 결과를 토대로 도상안정제의 효과를 확인하였으며, 아울러 궤도상태를 나타내는 궤도계수 산출을 위한 도표와 도상궤도 구성요소의 진동 및 하부구조로 전달되는 분포력 저감방안을 제시하였다. 본 연구에서 제시되는 결과는 향후 궤도상태판정 및 유지관리를 위한 기초자료로서 널리 이용될 수 있을 것으로 판단되었다.

한국고속철도 천안역사에 대한 소음 및 진동영향 연구 (Noise and Vibration Solutions Considering Stability Effects for High-Speed Rail ChonAn Station in Korea)

  • The objective of this paper is to address to the providing an adequate noise and vibration solution, required for High Speed Rail while maintaining the stability criteria of the ChonAn station structure, the first constructed in Korean High Speed Railway. The significant acoustic pressure level will be induced by the high speed trains passing-by. Therefore, the high level study of this case is necessary. The acoustic pressure level of 85 dB(A) inside the ChonAn station is expected, and the spaces below concrete slab are not suitable for commercial purpose, thus installation of filtering systems (spring boxes containing viscous dampers, ballast mats and acoustic shield) are provided to reduce the effect of the noise and vibration to acceptable level of 55 dB(A). But, a major drawback of application of the previously conducted experimental results was that the actual effect of installation of filtering system was never been validated. Therefore, the acquisition of noise and vibration on the present structure were obtained and compared to the computer simulations. These predicted the behavior of the station reasonably well. Also, the installation of filtering systems gave the superior reduction on noise and vibration. This application is successfully adapted without scarifying stability criteria related to the structural stability including excessive deformations or displacements. Three traffic operation safety limits: deck vertical acceleration, deflection of the structure, and longitudinal displacement of the slab were satisfactory.

고속철도 교량 바닥판의 온도신축작용이 궤도처짐에 미치는 영향과 대책에 관한 연구 (The Effect and Countermeasures of the Vertical Track Settlement Caused by Expand and Contract Behavior of the High-Speed Railway Bridge Girder)

  • 교량상의 장대레일은 온도변화에 따른 교량 바닥판의 온도신축 작용에 따라 궤도의 축력이 더해질뿐 아니라 교량 바닥판의 길이의 변화로 인하여 구조물 단부(교량신축이음부)에서 궤도자갈이 이완되는 현상이 발생한다. 이러한 영향은 교량 바닥판의 길이가 클수록 더욱 커지며 궤도자갈의 이완을 가중시키고 결국 궤도 고저틀림에 영향을 미쳐 승차감을 악화시킨다. 교량상 자갈이완에 따른 궤도틀림과 교량구조물 자체적 측면을 감안하여 경부고속철도에서는 프랑스 고속철도의 경우와 동일하게 교량경간의 최대 길이를 80m로 제한하여 시공하였다. 본 논문에서는 고속철도구간의 검측결과 나타나고 있는 현상과 그 동안의 유지보수 작업경과를 바탕으로 교량 바닥판의 온도신축작용과 궤도처짐의 상관관계를 분석하였다. 본 연구에서 검토한 결과 종방향 자갈막이와 플레이트 설치는 시공상의 어려움으로 인해 현재상태의 선로조건에서는 적절한 방안인 것으로 볼 수 없다. 반면에 종방향 활동체결구의 설치 또는 도상고결제 살포는 비교적 쉽게 시행할 수 있으나 그 효과가 뚜렷하지 않다. 따라서 그간의 보수작업경과와 작업효과 분석결과 스위치 타이탬핑이나 소형장비에 의한 인력다짐작업이 다른 것들에 비해 가장 효과적이라는 결론을 얻었다.

궤도 유지보수 주기 예측을 위한 구간 특성에 따른 궤도틀림 표준편차 진전정도 분석 (Study for Progress Rate of Standard Deviation of Irregularity Based on Track Properties for the Railway Track Maintenance Cycle Analysis)

  • 궤도틀림은 열차의 주행안전 및 승차감에 미치는 영향이 크고, 소음 진동의 주요원인으로 작용한다. 따라서 현장에서 발생하는 궤도의 틀림을 체계적으로 분석함으로써 이를 저감할 수 있도록 차량운행 조건과 선로선형 및 궤도구조를 설계하는 것은 중요한 과제이다. 현재 국내에서 EM-120에 의해 검측된 틀림 데이터는 매우 불규칙적인 형태를 나타내며 데이터 분석 시 다양한 문제점을 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 궤도의 효율적인 유지관리를 위해 검측된 틀림데이터의 효율적인 처리 기법을 개발하고, 정제된 데이터를 이용해 선로를 구성하고 있는 이음매, 도상, 노반, 체결구 등의 요소를 고려하여 레일 궤도 틀림의 진전 정도를 정량화 하였다. 또한 축적된 검측 데이터로부터 궤도의 건전도를 평가할 수 있는 방법을 정립하고 잔존수명을 예측하여 효율적 유지관리를 실현하기 위하여 검측 데이터의 확률론적 수명 산정 기법 개발 및 데이터를 이용한 구간 특성에 따른 궤도틀림 표준편차의 틀림 진전 정도에 대한 통계 및 확률적 분석을 수행하였다.

  • Seoul Metropolitan Rapid Transit Corporation has 148's stations. Total length is 152km and most of the station is located in the basement and Groundwater occur inflow of 700,000 tons per day. Groundwater is treated as a natural flow way instead of artificial ways. Therefore, most of the collection wells is located in the low place or station for the efficient induction and collecting water. Manhole overtopping is occurring frequently because groundwater is concentrated in the drain pipe near the collecting well and heavy rainfall in summer. As a result, ballast contamination and radon levels are increased in tunnel. This paper introduces a solution is increasing overflow in tunnel, which introduces drainage system of non-motorized that uses differencial head between collecting well and manhole.

일반철도 유지보수 합리화를 위한 궤도틀림 기준 연구방향 (A Study of Track Irregularity Standard for Rational Track Maintenance)

  • Currently the train operating environment to affect track irregularity is changed rapidly such as speed-up, linear improvement and rolling stack upgrade. The recent track maintenance criteria of track irregularity was quoted from past Japan's, and the needs of revision of criteria are increased because of the rapid change in train operating environment. In case of enhance the track irregularity criteria, it secure driving safety and riding comfort but maintenance cost are increase. And also decrease ballast durability by frequent corrective work. In case of mitigate the criteria, it decrease driving safety and riding comfort, but save the maintenance cost. The study for enacting rational criteria did not carry out so far. In this study, survey the domestic and international track irregularity and case study for track irregularity inspection results and maintenance history for guideline of enacting irregularity criteria study.

  • The reinforcing subgrade has the many advantages to maintain the quality of ballast track. It has also the function to prevent the softening of subgrade by mud-pumping. Therefore, active application of it is being expected for the future constructions of Korean railroad. In this paper, behaviors of the reinforced subgrade applied to conventional railroad were investigated through 3-D numerical analyses. The applicability of the reinforced subgrade to conventional railroad was evaluated by analyzing the distributions of the settlements and vertical stress of reinforced subgrade.

  • Comparison it analyed the tunnel travelling hour interior noise arresting quality of the inside and outside of the country high-speed vehicle from the research which it sees. In the interior sound arresting comparison objective vehicle of the tunnel travelling hour KTX vehicle from the research which it sees and it limited by the TGV vehicle of France and the ICE vehicle og Germany and the Shinkansen vehicle of Japan comparison it analyzed the interior sound arresting from the open field and the tunnel line. The tunnel passage hour interior sound arresting problem of the domestic KTX vehicle follows in the concreate track tunnel the ballast track tunnel and the interior sound arresting quality is appearing different.
