21 century as the knowledge information anger society now our society industry of all fields the rolling stock maintenance conservative standardization enterprise where information anger is being turning out construction Ministry of Transportation supported with continuous development of the supply section substitution quantity information processing system which the information highway is quick and the Korean railroad technical research worker propelled the enterprise as the subjective agency, it contracted this for a vehicle field information anger system construction in link of the enterprise our construction and an agreement, information technique composed the consortium t9day and it propelled a system codevelopment. The SMSC who is a front-runner of Maj loach city railroad operation agency to 'here business relates with a vehicle field maintenance conservativeness an immediacy operation and generally and information anger it will plan it will integrate it will own jointly and business efficiency and in the dictionary an obstacle occurrence electromotive car maintenance conservative information and it will improve only maintenance conservativeness of preventive maintenance of the electromotive car it knows it will prevent to construct the maintenance conservative system of the preventive maintenance, it applied the RIMS project to sleep.
Personnel maintaining or repairing the railway tracks or signaling facilities around tracks may experience the sensory disorder when doing maintenance works at the trackside of railway for long time. In this case personnel maintaining at the trackside may collide with the train since they cannot recognize the approach of motor-car although it approaches to the vicinity of maintenance workplace because of the sensory block phenomenon occurred due to their long hours of continued monotonous maintenance work. In order to prevent such motor-car accidents that may occur because railway track workers are unable to recognize the approaching train, the safety alarm equipment is developed to make the approaching motor-car send radio signals and bidirectional detection mechanism between approaching train and trackside personnel. It shows the possibility of utilization in various forms of safety equipment for workers only to the safety helmet to be worn by the maintenance workers while using the configuration of transmitting/receiving sides. In the paper it is represented new alarm equipment, which is the bone-anchored speaker-based safety helmet to be worn by the maintenance workers.
This study aims to examine the current state of wearing working clothes for the workers who work in Electric Technology Division, Korea Railroad Corporation, to identify inconveniences and problems in relation to the working clothes, and based on the examination, to find a way to improve them, creating a design of summer working clothes that will have more advanced functionalities including activity adaptability and comfort. Survey was conducted through direct observation and interview for Electric Railway Power Team. A total of 352 copies were collected and analyzed. Based on the results of questionnaire, an experimental clothes, the functionality of which has improved in terms of design, material, and patterns, was created. The followings are the results of the study. Easy activity, design, and comfort are required as functions of working clothes. In design related questions, the survey shows high dissatisfaction in the color of existing working clothes, and preferred colors are dark blue and gray. With regard to the method of zipping up the front side, zippers are preferred. Although many pockets on the existing working clothes have high satisfaction, dissatisfaction to pocket format is high. In material related questions, lower dissatisfaction is indicated for the sense of touch, ventilation and sweat absorption. It is shown that the areas frequently polluted include the lower part of pocket, the edges of sleeves and elbow areas on the jacket. The frequently polluted area of the trousers include knee areas, the edges of pants and buttocks. With regard to the areas where the workers felt discomfort when motion, discomfort is highly indicated with armpits and back on the jacket. Also discomfort is highly indicated with crotch, buttocks and knee areas on the trousers. In material related questions, lower dissatisfaction is indicated for the sense of touch, ventilation, sweat absorption.
This study aims to improve the uniform functionality of the workers who work in Electric Technology Division, Korea Railroad Corporation. Former study of questionnaire survey was taken to examine the current state of wearing working clothes for the workers. Based on the results of the former study, an experimental clothes, the functionality of which has improved in terms of design, materials, and patterns, was created, and existing working clothes and the treated experimental clothes were compared through simulation wearing evaluation comprising appearance, activity adaptability, quantitativeness, and on-site adaptability evaluation comprising appearance and activity adaptability. The followings are the results of the study: Simulation wearing evaluation is composed of 5subjects and 11experts specializing in costume, and as a result of evaluation the experimental clothes were evaluated superior to the existing working clothes in all items. On-site adaptability evaluation was conducted by workers in the Electric Technology Division, who are the subjects in this study. In that evaluation, the experimental clothes were also evaluated superior to the existing working clothes in all items. While the five subjects who participated in the simulation wearing evaluation move, the quantitative evaluation measured the distance of location transfer of the back length in the jacket and the distance of location transfer of the back waist in the trousers. As the distances in the experimental clothes were measured shorter than the distances in the existing working clothes, the subjective evaluation results are objectively supported.
As a result of investment in railway safety focusing on passenger safety, the train accident rate has been reduced by half domestically and we have reached a high level of safety compared to other countries and other transportation modes. However, accidents related to staff are still at a high ratio compared to other countries. There have been few studies on staff safety and no relevant systematic safety measures have been implemented. More than 90% of staff fatalities occurred from rolling stock in motion and electrification, which are representative railway accidents. In this study, causes of accidents, and current safety measures for staff are analyzed focusing on trains in motion. The results can be utilized for developing new safety measures.

The purpose of this study was to survey on the actual condition disposable coveralls of railroad rolling stock maintenance workers. The data were obtained from 100 male workers of railroad rolling stock maintenance wearing disposable coveralls using a questionnaire. The results were as follows. Disposable coveralls were exchanged into new ones in a week or 1-2 weeks. The major reasons of the exchanges were 'Because it was contaminated(76.2%)' and then 'It was torn(23.0%)' The response to the wearing frequency was the highest in 'As possible as freqeuntly', and then 'Sometimes' When workers were reluctant to wear the coveralls, the first reason was heat owing to wearing the coveralls. Therefore, wearing frequency became lowered in Summer. The torn parts of disposable coveralls most frequently were around the armhole and the crotch. The contaminated parts followed with the cuffs, the arm, and then the back. The uncomfortable parts were around the neck and the armholes. Workers felt uncomfortable because of heat and sweat caused by garment design obstructed convective airflow. Second, they complained that the coveralls make them irritated in a toilet. Third, they dissatisfied with materials of coveralls because the soils like oil were soaked into the coveralls and stained on the inner clothing. In regard of the color of coveralls, worker's favorite color was blue. In regard of style, the preferences to the separate style with a hood and the coveralls style with a hood were 49.0% and 25.0%, respectively.

This study is to retest of seoul traffic, all sorts of statistical data, the present condition of urban railway that local government and all sorts of research institution had researched. Even though, or something else with population and regional industrial distribution of seoul with worker and the present condition of the registrated cars and the change of increase, we have predicted the medium term and long-range solution. we have proposed the alternative plan about both of the problem that is the developmental construction direction of seoul urban railway and the resource insurance for urban railway construction.
H maritime company in Korea had a long history of difficulty in obtaining enough empty containers to transport its commodities. Despite efforts to resolve the problem, the repositioning of empty containers between depots was still planned manually, which consumed much worker time. To automate the generation of reposition plans, we developed a planning system to optimize the company's reposition of empty containers between global depots with a linear programming model functioning as a key decision engine in the system. The model determines the route, volume and mode of transportation for repositioning empty containers from depots with surplus containers to those requiring containers, as well as the empty space of ships generated from the unloading or loading of full and empty containers. The system has been in operation in the company's global network since March 2008.
It is necessary to have a maintenance of track and its equipment for safety and s the railroad transportation. In the paper, we examine the safety problems, protecti and composition of protection system for safety within the track which RTRI develo system consists of a mobile business tool carried by each worker. a terminal of t platform temporarily installed in the maintenance car. a connector attached to signalling system and a central administrative device installed at the control cen used independently to detect positions of workers and maintenance cars. Each m correctly grasp the geometrical relations with other workers cars and other objects conditions based on the state information exchanged between the machines by the control protocol. the track occupancy monitor information broadcast by th administrative device and the line information. The protection system executes its f this basic structure.
In terms of deregulation requests from business, incidents at construction sites are rapidly increasing after reducing the regular safety training hours. Especially, to prevent incidents through safety trainings for construction site workers, who have lots of hazardous tasks than general manufacturing, is not only to protect property of both the companies and the country but also to increase their profits. That is why there are loud voices regarding that the safety training is a core mandatory to prevent industrial incidents. But, most companies, as soon as the deregulation for safety training is implemented, mitigated conducting safety trainings to prevent incidents. With this, the incidents are currently to be increased and caught in a vicious circle of many incidents at the smaller companies because of their absentmindedness regarding safety training due to their poorness as subcontractors of major companies, comparing to major companies. This study explains that the difference between managers and workers are existing about safety awareness and knowledge. And, we confirmed that the educational factor led by deficiency of safety awareness and knowledge was the major factor.
