철도건설현장 건설기계 재해사례 및 실태분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Accident Case and Analysis on the Actual Condition of Construction Machinery in Railroad Construction Sites)

  • Recently, railroad's preference greatly increased as the environment-friendly means of transportation as the importance in the aspects of environment and energy efficiency. So the government established the Korea Rail Network Authority which takes full charge of railroad construction in 20047 for regular railroad construction to combine major key points in the whole country with each other to be one city region by connecting them to each other to be within the commute time range of a hour and thirty minutes. And it has arranged large-scale railroad construction by establishing plans to build the 1st and 2nd national railroad networks as the national project and investing about 100 trillion won in it from 2006 to 2020. As large-scale railroad construction is promoted as the national project like this, there has been a string of safety accidents in it due to the large and complex construction project. As the government strengthened the safety accident prevention plans, safety accidents have tended to decrease in 2011. However, accidents of construction machinery have found to increase. Therefore, this study tried to investigate accident cases of the Korea Rail Network Authority for the recent 5 years and analyze accidents of construction machinery to prevent them in railroad construction sites and suggest accident prevention plans due to it by conducting, investigating, and analyzing the survey of its operators and superintendents of the construction sites and drawing the problems.

Automation technology for analyzing 3D point cloud data of construction sites

  • Denoising, registering, and detecting changes of 3D digital map are generally conducted by skilled technicians, which leads to inefficiency and the intervention of individual judgment. The manual post-processing for analyzing 3D point cloud data of construction sites requires a long time and sufficient resources. This study develops automation technology for analyzing 3D point cloud data for construction sites. Scanned data are automatically denoised, and the denoised data are stored in a specific storage. The stored data set is automatically registrated when the data set to be registrated is prepared. In addition, regions with non-homogeneous densities will be converted into homogeneous data. The change detection function is developed to automatically analyze the degree of terrain change occurred between time series data.

A Review on Intelligent Compaction Techniques in Railroad Construction

  • The purpose of this paper was to review Intelligent Compaction (IC) techniques, which is regarded relatively new to the railroad roadbed construction activity. Most of civil structures are built on roadbed that supposed to provide adequate load bearing support to the upper structure through the qualified compaction process. However, it is not uncommon for structure failure attributed to inadequate compaction control take place in field sites. Unlike traditional compaction control method to check field density at several locations, IC techniques continuously measure various compaction quality indices that represent compaction uniformity. In this paper, a series of literature review relevant to IC techniques was conducted to provide concise summary on the following categories: 1) background of IC technique; 2) Summary of IC vendors and basic principles; 3) modeling of IC behavior, and 4) case study along with correlation between IC with other measurements. In summary, IC technologies seem to be promising in future railroad construction to achieve better compaction quality control so that the serviceability of railroad can be ensured with minimizing rehabilitation and maintenance activities.

철도건설공사에 적합한 스마트 건설안전기술 적용방안에 대한 연구 (A Study on Application of Smart Construction Safety Technology into Railway Construction)

  • 철도건설공사는 많은 예산, 인력, 장비가 투입되고 이에 따른 안전사고도 많이 발생하고 있다. 국가적 차원에서 철도건설현장의 안전사고를 줄이고자 노력하고 있으나 산업재해율은 감소 추세를 보이지 않고 있다. 안전사고를 감소시키고 재해자 수를 줄이기 위하여 그동안 다양한 관리적, 기술적 방법이 적용되었으나 효과가 미미하였고 최근 IoT 기반의 스마트 건설안전기술의 적용을 통해 이를 극복하려고 노력하고 있다. 하지만, 기술 효과에 대한 분석 없이 무분별하게 스마트 건설안전기술을 도입하다 보면 중복 투자가 발생할 수 있으며, 이는 국가 예산으로 건설되는 철도건설공사의 예산 낭비로 이어질 수 있을 것이다. 본 연구는 철도건설공사 관계자 설문조사를 통해 재해사례를 분석하여 발생 빈도가 높은 재해 유형을 파악하고, 해당 재해 유형에 효과가 높을 것으로 판단되는 스마트 건설안전기술을 제안하고자 한다.

  • Recently problems of soil and groundwater contamination occur in major construction sites of highway, dam and railways. Contaminants of oil fuels are also detected in the former fuel storage facilities of railroad station and army troops of transportation, etc. These facilities are planned as the sites of commercial infrastructures after restoration from pollutants by the law of soil environment conservation of Korea. In this manuscript, the contents of soil environment conservation law including soil assessment and restoration technology are introduced. Recent changes of soil environment area are also analyzed.

  • Frequent accidents occur when workers at construction sites leave the safety zone, and particularly in the past 5 years, 9 fatal accidents occurred at the Korea Railroad Corporation due to train accidents on other tracks during track work. With the Severe Accident Punishment Act taking effect in January 2022, it is a priority to secure a safe work environment for workers at industrial (construction) sites. Therefore, there is a need to manage workers' departure from the safety zone (construction zone) and to facilitate communication within the construction zone. In this study, a mobile edge computing CCTV system is proposed that uses geofencing to determine whether workers are working in the danger zone, which can judge and respond in real-time to the ever-changing field environment. The proposed system is mobile and flexible, rather than server-based fixed CCTV. However, since it is designed mainly based on images, it has limitations in recognition rate depending on the environment such as distance, viewing angle, and illumination. As a way to compensate for this, it is required to develop more reliable equipment by combining technologies such as LiDAR and Radar.

  • 국내 궤도 흙노반재료의 선정기준은 기초물성 값(입경, 200번체 통과량($P_{200}$), 4번체 통과량($P_4$), 균등계수($C_u$), 곡률계수($C_c$)등)을 이용하는 통일분류법에 의존하고 있으며, 선정된 궤도노반의 현장 다짐도는 들밀도 시험 및 반복평판재하시험 결과 $E_{v2}$에 의해 파악한다. 그러나 궤도노반의 변형 및 안정성에 미치는 가장 큰 영향요소는 강성(Stiffness)이므로, 노반재료의 분류특성은 기초물성 값 자체 보다는 다짐 후 변형계수를 활용하는 것이 보다 정확하다고 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 궤도노반에 사용되는 국내 대표적인 흙 재료의 기초물성과 현장시험에 의한 변형계수($E_{v2}$, $E_{vd}$)와의 상관식을 도출하였다. 이와 같은 상관특성은 성능설계를 위한 국내 고유의 철도궤도용 전용흙분류기준수립을 위한 근거로 사용될 수 있다.

  • 동평판재하시험기(LWDT)는 궤도노반 등의 다짐강성 측정을 위하여 개발된 시험기이며 낙하추를 자유낙하시킬 때 가속도계를 이용하여 다짐표면의 처짐량을 측정, 반무한 탄성체로 가정된 노반의 동탄성계수를 결정한다. 본 연구에서는 LWDT시험기의 구성과 구동 메커니즘 및 동탄성계수 추출공식의 유효성을 상세히 분석하였다. 특히, 2층구조 노반 위에서 LWDT 시험시 상부층의 강성평가 유효깊이를 유한요소해석으로부터 결정하였다. 또한, LWDT 시험시 노반의 강성 차이를 고려하여 사용할 수 있는 동탄성계수 추출공식 수정계수를 제시하였다.

산업안전교육이 건설현장에 미치는 영향에 관한 실증적 연구 - 관리감독자와 일반근로자를 중심으로 - (An Empirical Study on the Influence of Industrial Safety Education to Workers in Construction Field -Focus on the Supervisor and the Worker-)

  • In terms of deregulation requests from business, incidents at construction sites are rapidly increasing after reducing the regular safety training hours. Especially, to prevent incidents through safety trainings for construction site workers, who have lots of hazardous tasks than general manufacturing, is not only to protect property of both the companies and the country but also to increase their profits. That is why there are loud voices regarding that the safety training is a core mandatory to prevent industrial incidents. But, most companies, as soon as the deregulation for safety training is implemented, mitigated conducting safety trainings to prevent incidents. With this, the incidents are currently to be increased and caught in a vicious circle of many incidents at the smaller companies because of their absentmindedness regarding safety training due to their poorness as subcontractors of major companies, comparing to major companies. This study explains that the difference between managers and workers are existing about safety awareness and knowledge. And, we confirmed that the educational factor led by deficiency of safety awareness and knowledge was the major factor.

국내 철도 노반 흙재료의 반복재하에 따른 영구변형 발생 특성 및 상관성 분석 (Characteristic Analysis of Permanent Deformation in Railway Track Soil Subgrade Using Cyclic Triaxial Compression Tests)

  • 철도궤도 상부 흙노반은 궤광으로부터 전달된 열차하중을 지지하고 분산하는 기능을 갖는다. 성토체의 일반적인 흙노반은 흙재료를 다짐하여 조성하며 차량 반복하중에 의해 공용중 잔류침하가 발생하는 데 일정부분 기여한다. 흙노반의 잔류침하는 회복불가능한 영구변형이어서 궤도틀림 등 궤도 안전성을 크게 저하시킨다. 그럼에도 불구하고 현재까지 흙노반재료에 대한 역학적 시험을 바탕으로 합리적인 잔류침하 관리기준이 제시된 바 없다. 반면에 흙노반의 현장관리 및 판정기준은 강성평가 또는 현장들밀도시험에 의해서만 이루어지고 있어 불합리하다. 본 연구에서는 흙노반이 경험하는 전단응력비(${\tau}/{\tau}_f$)와 구속압(${\sigma}_3$)을 수치해석을 통해 구하고 이를 반영한 실내 흙노반 영구변형시험방법을 제시하였다. 제시된 시험방법을 이용하여 대표적인 철도건설현장 흙노반 재료로 만든 다짐시편에 대하여 반복삼축시험을 실시하였으며 이로부터 향후 잔류침하의 추정에 활용할 수 있는 기본 영구변형예측모델 모델계수를 구속압 및 전단응력비 수준별로 제시할 수 있었다.
