  • In this paper, we analysis the performance of position estimation when adopting Dynamic TDMA(DTDMA) in JTIDS RelNav. JTIDS RelNav is widely understood as a new navigation solution possibly capable to support or take cover of the role of conventional systems including INS or GPS no matter if they are working well or not. By maximizing the efficiency of radio resource management in MAC(Medium Access Control) layer we enhance the system performance without any replacement of hardware.

  • This paper presents a terminal-assisted frame-based packet reservation multiple access (TAF-PRMA) protocol, which optimizes random access control between heterogeneous traffic aiming at more efficient voice/data integrated services in dynamic reservation TDMA-based broadband access networks. In order to achieve a differentiated quality-of-service (QoS) guarantee for individual service plus maximal system resource utilization, TAF-PRMA independently controls the random access parameters such as the lengths of the access regions dedicated to respective service traffic and the corresponding permission probabilities, on a frame-by-frame basis. In addition, we have adopted a terminal-assisted random access mechanism where the voice terminal readjusts a global permission probability from the central controller in order to handle the 'fair access' issue resulting from distributed queuing problems inherent in the access network. Our extensive simulation results indicate that TAF-PRMA achieves significant improvements in terms of voice capacity, delay, and fairness over most of the existing medium access control (MAC) schemes for integrated services.

  • In a COMA system, the capacity is variable and mainly depends on multiple access interference. The multiple access interference has a deep relationship with transmitted or received power. The capacity of COMA2000 system is considered to be limited by the forward link capacity. In this paper, we show that the forward link cell load can be represented by the total transmitted power of base station and we propose a forward link call admission control (CAC) strategy for COMA2000 system. The proposed call admission scheme adopts the rate control algorithm for data call. This call admission scheme enables the system to utilize radio resource dynamically by controlling data rate according to the cell load status, and enhance the system throughput and grade of service (GoS). quality of service(QoS) such as blocking and outage probability.

  • In a previous work, a simultaneous reporting scheme for cooperative spectrum sensing has been presented for a resource efficient transmission over a report channel. In this paper, we present a method of reducing transmission errors on the report channel for it and evaluate its performance by simulation.

  • This paper describes the RF performance issues of UE RF Transceiver for W-CDMA system based on 3GPP specifications. the parameters of transmitter and receiver are derived from the viewpoint of RF performance. In order for UE to achieve high performance, the transceiver performance requirements such as ACIR, EVM, Peak Code Domain Error, spectrum emission mask, frequency error stability and TX power control dynamic range for transmitter and reference sensitivity level, blocking characteristics, noise figure, ACS, linearity, AGC dynamic range for receiver are considered. On the basis of the required parameters, the UE RF transceiver is designed and then implemented. The evaluation of RF performance is accomplished through practical test scenarios.

  • R-Mode is terrestrial based Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) backup radio navigation technology which used existing maritime information service infrastructure. It has advantages on reduce the cost and reutilize the frequency resource. In this paper, we propose a method to develop a medium-frequency (MF) band R-Mode transmitting station by utilizing the currently operating Differential GNSS (DGNSS) reference station infrastructure. To this end, the considerations for co-operating the DGNSS reference station and the MF R-Mode transmitting station are analyzed. In this process, we also analyze what is necessary to configure the communication system as a navigation system for range measurement. Based on the analysis result, MF R-Mode transmitting station system is designed and architecture is proposed. • Wireless access technologies are emerging to enable high data rates for mobile users and novel applications that encompass both human and machine-type interactions. An essential approach to meet the rising demands on network capacity and offer high coverage for wireless users on upcoming fifth generation (5G) networks is heterogeneous networks (HetNets), which are generated by combining the installation of macro cells with a large number of densely distributed small cells Deployment in 5G architecture has several issues because to the rising complexity of network topology in 5G HetNets with many distinct base station types. Aside from the numerous benefits that dense small cell deployment delivers, it also introduces key mobility management issues such as frequent handover (HO), failures, delays and pingpong HO. This article investigates 5G HetNet mobility management in terms of radio resource control. This article also discusses the key challenges for 5G mobility management.
