  • Generally, a silicone rubber and a chlorinated polyethylene(CPE) have been used as a binder for the development of high-performance composite EM(Electro Magnetic) wave absorbers. In this paper, the EM wave absorption performance of natural lacquer, which is newly proposed as a binder was investigated. The prepared MnZn ferrite EM wave absorbers are mixed with natural lacquer showed excellent EM wave absorption characteristics compared with MnZn ferrite EM wave absorbers which are mixed with the conventional binders. MnZn ferrite EM wave absorbers mixed with natural lacquer were prepared and their absorption ability was also investigated The EM wave absorbers are fabricated in different proportions of MnZn, or NiZn ferrite and natural lacquer, and their reflection coefficients are measured. The permittivity and permeability are calculated by using the measured reflection coefficients. The EM wave absorption abilities are calculated according to different thicknesses of the EM wave absorbers.

  • In this paper, the EM wave absorbers were designed and fabricated for X -band sensors using Carbon of dielectric material with CPE. The complex relative permittivity of samples is calculated by using measurement results of S-parameter. We simulated the double-layered type EM wave absorber with broad bandwidth using the measured complex relative permittivity by changing the thickness and layer, which was fabricated based on the simulated design The fabricated EM wave absorber consists of 1 mm first layer sheet facing metal with Carbon composition ratio 70 vol. % and 1.5 mm second layer sheet with Carbon composition ratio 60 vol. %. The measured results showed a good agreement to the simulated ones. It is found toot the optimized absorption ability of double-layered type EM wave absorber with thickness of 2.5 mm is higher than 10 dB from 7.8 GHz to 13.3 GHz.

  • This paper proposes the adaptive class-E power amplifier with maintaining high power added efficiency (PAE) to apply RFID and wireless communication system. This switch mode amplifier is used a microprocessor to control a resonator circuits and to maintain high efficiency in case of input frequency variation. To validate the adaptive amplifier operation, which is a 450MHz operating frequency and a 100MHz bandwidth, the class E amplifier is implemented. As a result, the adaptive amplifier is maintained above 60% efficiency in frequency range and has a 74.8% maximum efficiency.

  • In this paper, we propose a method that reduces mobile user's handover call dropping probability by using cognitive radio technology(CR) in cellular - based wireless cognitive radio networks. The proposed method predicts a cell to visit by Ziv-Lempel algorithm, and then supports mobile user with prediction of spectrum holes based on CR technology when allocated channels are short in the cell. We make neural network predict spectrum hole resources, and make handover calls use the resources before initial calls. Simulation results show CR technology has the capability to reduce mobile user handover call dropping probability in cellular mobile communication networks.

  • DGPS/Radio beacons are currently being planned or installed in many countries. They offer a cost-effective way of distributing differential data to large number of users. These networks are also being deployed in South Korea, Japan, and China. Several DGPS stations among them are operating on the same frequencies. The DGPS signal based on a radio beacon in medium frequency band travels principally as a groundwave over the surface of the earth. The signal may also be received as skywaves at locations beyond about 100 km from the reference station. These skywaves interfere with groundwave signals due to fading. This factor has generally ignored in designing DGPS/Radio beacon systems. A further important factor is to reduce the coverage due to interference from other beacons on the same or adjacent frequencies. The desired signal may fade due to interaction between its skywave and groundwave components. It may degrade the accuracy of the positioning in a complex fashion. This paper estimates the coverage of Far East Asia DGPS stations which are operating on the same frequencies, which is based on the signal protection ratio and interference of the signal strength of the groundwave and skywave.

  • This paper presents a miniaturization design technique of radio frequency identification (RFID) tag antenna operated in 910 MHz band. Miniaturization structure design for a tag antenna is performed by structure application of the folded dipole and meander line. In order to realize the maximum power transmission, imaginary part of a chip impedance and a tag antenna impedance is matched by complex conjugate number. The optimized tag antenna size is $50\;nm\;{\times}\;40\;nm\;{\times}\;1.6\;nm$ and its size is reduced about 62 % comparison with antenna size of reference [4]. The measured results of fabricated tag antenna are confirmed the reasonable agreement with prediction. The read range of the tag antenna with chip observed about 5 m.

  • Mother ship must be able to know accident occurrence information rapidly to rescue crew who fall in sea. In this paper, designed and manufactured transceiver of prescribed 447 MHz is operating as low power radio station specified in Radio Regulation. So, it is available without special permission proceedings getting form probation so that the use of this system may be easy. the system has been started for operation when the sensor get in touch with water. The system transmits with modulation by 500Hz square wave, and the receiver alarms when the transmitted signal is received. Therefore, the system can be used for not only saving a life, but also for low speed of data transmission below 2,400 bps, and other purposes.

  • As the Ubiquitous times approach, an interest regarding a Ubiquitous sensor network to be the only during key technology is rising. Currently, The fast development which radio communication technique is creating new services from the industry sector which is various from convenient characteristic and the ease characteristic side. Specially, rise and development of the radio communication technique which is various from environment monitor ring field makes to be improved about sharp curtailment of establishment and logistics relation expense, and collection period of the data which occurs real-time from site, reliability and delivery characteristic. But continuous application and the success about the environment monitor ring field of radio communication technique will be able to trust And It is important to provide time information which is appropriate real-time.

  • Recently, many frequency sharing technology including CR (Cognitive Radio) technology have been studied actively because of frequency scarcity. For implementing CR systems, spectrum sensing technology plays key role. In IEEE 802.22 WRAN, the first standard aimed at Internet service in a TV channel with CR technology. This paper explained the various spectrum sensing schemes detecting narrowband ATSC signal in the IEEE 802.22 such as Energy detector, Spectral Correlation Sensing scheme, Covariance based Sensing algorithm and analyzed in terms of the probability of misdetection when the probability of false alarm is 10%. Based on simulation results, this paper proposed a duplex sensing scheme based on Energy detector and analyzed the capability of the proposed sensing scheme comparing with each sensing scheme.

  • Nowdays the mobile traffic have been greatly increasing. This traffic increment has been caused the lack of frequency. To solve this problem, many study to improve the frequency efficiency in the field of mobile communication has been performed in a variety angle. However this kind of study was focused to 1:1 traffic. This paper propose the allocation scheme of the receiving channel in 1:N group traffic. This method apply to the TRS(Trunk Radio System) that use for the emergency disaster telecommunications. The result of the study show the performance improvement in the call loss ratio and load distribution in the group channel.
