물림률이 다른 헬리컬 기어들의 3방향 진동의 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study of Tridirectional Vibration of Helical Gears with Different Contact Ratios)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate experimentally the characteristics of rotational, radial, and axial vibration for helical gears with different contact ratios. For this purpose, the gear box is specially designed and manufactured. Two helical gears with different face widths and reduction ratios are investigated. The gear vibration in each direction is measured by accelerometers attached to the gear body. Rotational vibration is the highest and radial vibration is the lowest in the gear frequencies. While the increase of rotational speed increases gear vibration, it does not always increase with torque. It is not also linearly related to the contact ratio. In addition, axial vibration is not proportional to rotational vibration.

  • SRM(Switched Reluctance Motor) 내부의 Radial Force는 소음ㆍ진동의 주원인이 되는 가진력으로 작용하는 것으로 알려져 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 Radial Force의 주 요인인 Motor 내부의 Air Gap 편심에 따른 반경방향의 전자기 가진력을 전자장 수치해석을 통하여 해석하고 소음ㆍ진동에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. Air Gap 편심량을 변화시켜 가면서 Stator, Rotor의 Local Force와 Gloval Force인 Torque Fluctuation을 해석하고 이를 실험 결과와 비교함으로서 해석결과의 타당성을 입증하였다.

IPM type BLDC 전동기의 진동 및 소음 저감을 위한 가진력 평형화 설계 (The Design of Radial Magnetic Force Equilibrium for Reduction of Vibration and Noise in IPM Type BLDC Motor)

  • In this paper, the Radial Magnetic Force(RMF) and cogging torque which cause vibration and noise in IPM type BLDC motor were analyzed. The cogging torque and RMF cause electromagnetic vibration. So, a notch was installed for the equilibrium of RMF and cogging torque reduction. The notch was analyzed by using a Fourier Series for the energy distribution of the air-gap. The equilibrium of RMF and the reduction of cogging torque were performed by a Design Of Experiment(DOE) with the notch. Also, operating characteristics and efficiency were analyzed and compared.

  • In high-capacity disk drives with ever-growing track density, the allowable level of position error signal (PES) is becoming smaller and smaller. A substantial portion of the PES is caused by disk vibration. This can be reduced by using a head gimbal assemblies (HGAs) that do not confine the slider movement to the vertical direction to disks, but allow movement to the radial direction of disks with respect to disk vibration. Several types of HGAs are proposed for such radial motion of the slider. Experimental results show that the PES levels are reduced by the proposed HGA-design concepts.

  • In this paper, a newly radial electronic shearography system was developed in order to study vibration characteristics of symmetrical objects. We utilized the electro-optic holography theory for quantificational analysis and a porror prism for shearing two inages radially in this study. These image data obtained by this shearography give us various distributions of the gradient of vibration amplitude, and they are useful informations to study vibrational characteristics of symmetrical objects. Finally this developed system with phase stepping and modulation was applied to fans and disks to inspect characteristics of the vibration and the blance of symmetrical objects and obtained good results.

Liquid boundary effect on free vibration of an annular plate coupled with a liquid

  • A theoretical method is developed to analyze the free vibration of an elastic annular plate in contact with an ideal liquid. The displacement potential functions of the contained liquid are expressed as a combination of the Bessel functions that satisfy the Laplace equation and the liquid boundary conditions. The compatibility condition along the interface between the annular plate and the contained liquid is taken into account to consider the fluid-structure coupling. The dynamic displacement of the wet annular plate is assumed to be a combination of dry eigenfunctions, allowing for prediction of the natural frequencies using the Rayleigh-Ritz method. The study investigates the effect of radial liquid boundary conditions on the natural frequencies of the wet annular plate, considering four types of liquid bounding: outer container bounded, outer and inner bounded, inner bounded, and radially unbounded. The proposed theoretical method is validated by comparing the predicted wet natural frequencies with those obtained from finite element analysis, showing excellent accuracy. The results indicate that the radial liquid bounding effect on the natural frequencies is negligible for the axisymmetric vibrational mode, but relatively significant for the mode with one nodal diameter (n =1) and no nodal circle (m' = 0). Furthermore, the study reveals that the wet natural frequencies are the largest for the plate with an inner bounded cylinder among the radial liquid boundary cases, regardless of the vibration mode.

  • This paper presents analysis of the radial force density in brushless DC motor of which distribution is not uniform in the axial direction. The analysis considering 3D shape of teeth and overhang is not only important but essential to calculate the radial force density that acts on the teeth of stator, because it is frequent source of vibration and changes at the end of teeth. For the analysis, a new 3D equivalent magnetic circuit network method taking into account movement of the rotor without remesh is proposed. The radial force density is calculated by Maxwell stress tensor and analyzed by discrete Fourier transform.

회전하는 환상 디스크의 면내 고유진동 해석 (In-Plane Natural Vibration Analysis of a Rotating Annular Disk)

  • In this paper, we present the equations of motion by which the natural vibration of a rotating annular disk can be accurately analyzed. These equations are derived from the theory of finite deformation and the principle of virtual work. The radial displacements of annular disk which is rotating at constant angular velocity are determined by non-linear equations formulated using 1-dimensional finite elements in radial direction. The equations of the in-plane vibrations at disturbed state are also formulated using 1-dimensional finite elements in radial direction along the number of nodal diameters. They are expressed as in functions of the radial displacements at the steady state and the disturbed displacements about the steady state. In-plane static deformation modes of the annular disk are used as the interpolation functions of 1-dimensional finite elements in radial direction. The natural vibrations of an annular disk with different boundary conditions are analyzed by using the presented model and the 3-dimensional finite element model to verify accuracy of the presented equations of motion. Its results are compared and discussed.

원판형 압전 변환기의 면내 방사 진동 특성 측정 (Measurements of Radial In-plane Vibration Characteristics of Piezoelectric Disk Transducers)

  • 이 논문은 원판형 압전 변환기의 면내 방사 진동 특성을 실험적으로 다룬다. 면내 방사 진동은 두께 방향으로 분극이 된 압전 원판에서 푸아송비로 인해 야기되는 것으로서, 레이저 면내 진동 측정기로써 측정되었고, 고유진동수는 임피던스 분석기로써 측정되었다. 실험 결과는 단순화된 이론적 해석과 유한요소 해석으로부터 얻어진 이론적 예측과 비교되었다. 원판형 압전 변환기의 기본 모드는 방사 모드이고, 중심으로부터 가장자리까지의 반경 방향 변위 분포는 단조 증가가 아니라 원주면에서 약간 떨어진 위치에서 최대 값을 나타낸다. 지름 대비 두께 비율이 작은 원판에서 이론적으로 계산된 기본 진동수는 유한요소 결과와 잘 일치하고, 두께/지름 비율 0.4까지 오차 7 % 이내로 정확하다.
