산화제 제어 확산화염의 화염구조 및 NO 생성 특성에 관한 수치해석적 연구 (Numerical Study on Flame Structure and NO Formation Characteristics in Oxidizer-Controlled Diffusion Flames)

  • Numerical Study with detailed chemistry has been conducted to investigate the flame structure and NOx formation characteristics in oxygen -enhanced(CH$_4$/O$_2$-$N_2$) and oxygen-enhanced-EGR(CH$_4$/O$_2$-$CO_2$) counter diffusion flame with various strain rates. A small amount of $N_2$is included in oxygen-enhanced-EGR combustion, in order to consider the inevitable $N_2$contamination by $O_2$production process or air infiltration. The results are as follows : In CH$_4$/O$_2$-$CO_2$flame it is very important to adopt a radiation effect precisely because the effect of radiation changes flame structure significantly. In CH$_4$/O$_2$-$N_2$flame special strategy to minimize NO emission is needed because it is very sensitive to a small amount of $N_2$. Special attention is needed on CO emission by flame quenching, because of increased CO concentration. Spatial NO production rate of oxygen-enhanced combustion is different from that of air and oxygen-enhanced-EGR combustion in that thermal mechanism plays a role of destruction as well as production. In case CH$_4$/O$_2$-$CO_2$flame contains more than 40% $CO_2$it is possible to maintain the same EINO as that of CH$_4$/Air flame with accomplishing higher temperature than that of CH$_4$/Air flame. EINO decreases with increasing strain rate, and those effects are augmented in CH$_4$/O$_2$flame.

오이 잎에서 저온 광저해에 의한 형광유도과정의 초기 변이와 스트레스 지표 (Early Alterations of Chlorophyll Fluorescence by Light-Chilling in Cucumber (Cucumis sativus) Leaves and Their Usage as Stress Indicators)

  • To investigate the early symptoms of light-chilling, alterations of chlorophyll fluorescence transients were monitored in cucumber (Cucumis sativus L. cv. Ilmichungjang) leaves. During 24 h chilling, decreases in (Fv)m/Fm, qE and qQ, and an increase in Fo were observed. The chilling effects were not recovered at room temperature, and a significant increase in Fo was observed during the recovery period. After 6 h chilling, ‘dip’(D) level of the transients became obscure, and the negative slope after ‘peak’(P) disappeared. The first derivative (dFv/dt) of the fast fluorescence rise curve was used to obtain more accurate information about the changes in the transients. The maximal rate of the fluorescence increase in the D-p rise curve (Fr) has been the most frequently used chilling stress indicator. However, a correct value of Fr could not be measured when the D level became obscure. This problem was overcome by introducing a new indicator, HFr (dFv/dt at Fv = 1/2 (Fv)m), and HFr gave very similar values to Fr. To monitor the changes in curvature around D level, another new parameter, ${\Delta}S$(D-Fr), was also introduced. These three parameters decreased very sensitively during light-chilling. In addition, increases in these parameters were observed during the first 2 h chilling, but this increase in Fr was also observed in pea leaf discs dark-chilled for 15 min, suggesting that this very early change is a common response to chilling in both pea and cucumber leaves. Quenching coefficients were also very sensitive to chilling, especially qE. Discussion on the usage of these parameters as chilling stress indicators is given in the text.

멜라민이 코팅된 수산화마그네슘 입자의 제조와 그 복합입자의 난연특성 (Preparation of Mg(OH)2-Melamine Core-Shell Particle and Its Flame Retardant Property)

  • Magnesium hydroxide-melamine core-shell particles were prepared through the coating of melamine monomer on the surface of magnesium hydroxide in the presence of phosphoric acid. The melamine monomer was dissolved in hot water but recrystallized on the surface of magnesium hydroxide by quenching to room temperature in the presence of phosphoric acid. The core-shell particle was applied to low-density polyethylene/ ethylene vinyl acetate (LDPE/EVA) resin by melt-compounding at $180^{\circ}C$ as flame retardant. The effect of magnesium hydroxide and melamine content has been studied on the flame retardancy of the core-shell particles in LDPE/EVA resin according to the preparation process and purity of magnesium hydroxide. Magnesium hydroxide prepared with sodium hydroxide rather than with ammonia solution revealed higher flame retardancy in core-shell particles with LDPE/EVA resin. At 50 wt% loading of flame retardant, core-shell particles revealed higher flame retardancy compared to that of the exclusive magnesium hydroxide in LDPE/EVA composite, and it was possible to satisfy the V0 grade in the UL-94 vertical test. The synergistic flame retardant effect of magnesium hydroxide and melamine core-shell particles was explained as being due to the endothermic decomposition of magnesium hydroxide and melamine, which was followed by the evolution of water from the magnesium hydroxide and porous char formation due to reactive nitrogen compounds, and carbon dioxide generated from melamine.

직접 소입 저탄소 비조질강의 기계적 성질에 미치는 몰리브덴의 영향 (Effect of Molybdenum Addition on the Mechanical Properties of Direct-Quenched Low-Carbon Non-Treated Steels)

  • 공냉에 의한 중탄소 비조질강은 페라이트와 펄라이트의 미세구조를 갖는다. 기존의 조질강과 비교하여 이재료는 V, Nb, Ti을 첨가하여 강도는 거의 동등한 반면 인성에 있어서 조질강에 비해 취약하다. 본 연구에서는 직접 소입 저탄소 비조질강의 기계적 성질에 미치는 몰리브덴의 영향을 조사하였다. 몰리브덴 첨가 직접 소입 비조질강은 고강도와 고인성을 나타내었다. 몰리브덴은 변태 온도를 저하시켜 미세한 구조와 균일한 석출 구조를 효과적으로 생성시킨ㄷ. 본 실험의 결과로 0.15C+0.11V+0.035Nb+1.81Mo의 재료를 유냉시켜 121MPo의 강도와 127.5J의 인성을 얻었다.

구석기 고토양층 석영의 시간분해 광자극 냉광 특성 연구 (Characteristics of time-resolved optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) on Paleolithic paleosol quartz)

  • 이 연구에서는 구석기 고토양층 석영의 시간분해 광자극 냉광 신호를 측정한 후 측정된 냉광신호로부터 시료의 냉광수명을 산출하였다. 냉광수명의 방사선 조사 후 열전처리 의존성 및 조사선량 의존성, 광자극 펄스 의존성을 모두 고려한 결과, 고토양층 석영의 시간분해 광자극 냉광은 방사선량 100 Gy 조사 후 별도의 열전처리 없이 펄스 주기 $250{\mu}s$, 펄스 폭 $10{\mu}s$, 반복수 100,000번인 광 자극 펄스를 가하여 측정할 때 정확한 냉광수명이 산출됨을 알 수 있었다. 냉광수명의 측정온도 의존성으로부터 산출된 열소광 활성화 에너지 ${\Delta}E$, thermal assistance 활성화 에너지 $E_a$는 각각 $0.60{\pm}0.14eV$, $0.053{\pm}0.029eV$ 이었으며, 이 결과는 기존에 보고된 연구 성과와 매우 잘 일치하였다. 결론적으로 이 연구에서 산출된 고토양층 석영의 운동학 변수 값은 매우 신뢰할 수 있다고 판단된다.

Electronic and Magnetic Properties of Ti1-xMxO2-δ (M=Co and Fe) Thin Films Grown by Sol-gel Method

  • Electronic and magnetic properties of $Ti_{1-x}M_xO_{2-\delta}$ (M=Co and Fe) thin films grown by sol-gel method have been investigated. Anatase and rutile $Ti_{1-x}Co_xO_{2-\delta}$ films were successfully grown on $Al_2O_3$ (0001) substrates and exhibited p-type electrical conductivity while the undoped films n-type conductivity. Room temperature vibrating sample magnetometry measurements on the anatase and rutile $Ti_{1-x}Co_xO_{2-\delta}$ films with same x ($=4.8 at.{\%}$) showed quite similar magnetic hysteresis curves with the saturation magnetic moment of $\~4 {\mu}_B$ per Co ion despite their differences in structural and electronic properties. Such giant magnetic moment is attributable to the unquenched orbital moment of the $Co^{2+}$ ions substituting the octahedral $Ti^{4+}$ sites. Similar ferromagnetic behavior was observed for $Ti_{1-x}Fe_xO_{2-\delta}$ films that are highly resistive compared to the Co doped samples. Saturation magnetic moment was found to decrease for higher x, i.e., $\~2$ and $\~1.5 {\mu}_B$ per Fe ion for x=2.4 and 5.8 at. $\%$, respectively. Conversion electron $M\ddot{o}ssbauer$ spectroscopy measurements predicted the coexistence of $Fe^{2+}$ and $Fe^{3+}$ ions at the octahedral sites of $Ti_{1-x}Fe_xO_{2-\delta}$.

  • BiFeO3 with perovskite structure is a well-known material that has both ferroelectric and antiferromagnetic properties called multiferroics. However, leaky electrical properties and difficulty of controlling stoichiometry due to Bi volatility and difficulty of obtaining high relative density due to high dependency on the ceramic process are issues for BiFeO3 applications. In this work we investigated the sintering behavior of samples with different stoichiometries and sintering conditions. To understand the optimum sintering conditions, nonstoichiometric Bi1±xFeO3±δ ceramics and Ti-doped Bi1.03Fe1-4x/3TixO3 ceramics were synthesized by a conventional solid-state route. Dense single phase BiFeO3 ceramics were successfully fabricated using a two-step sintering and quenching process. The effects of Bi volatility on microstructure were determined by Bi-excess and Ti doping. Bi-excess increased grain size, and Ti doping increased sintering temperature and decreased grain size. It should be noted that Ti-doping suppressed Bi volatility and stabilized the BiFeO3 phase.

극저온 열처리가 7075 알루미늄 합금의 잔류응력과 기계적 특성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Cryogenic Treatment Cycles on Residual Stress and Mechanical Properties for 7075 Aluminum Alloy)

  • In this study, the effects of cryogenic treatment cycles on the residual stress and mechanical properties of 7075 aluminum alloy (Al7075) samples, in the form of a tube-shaped product with a diameter of 500 nm, were investigated. Samples were first subjected to solution treatment at $470^{\circ}C$, followed by cryogenic treatment and aging treatment. The residual stress and mechanical properties of the samples were systematically characterized. Residual stress was measured with a cutting method using strain gauges attached on the surface of the samples; in addition, tensile strength and Vickers hardness tests were performed. The detailed microstructure of the samples was investigated by transmission electron microscopy. Results showed that samples with 85 % relief in residual stress and 8% increase in tensile strength were achieved after undergoing three cycles of cryogenic treatments; this is in contrast to the samples processed by conventional solution treatment and natural aging (T4). The major reasons for the smaller residual stress and relatively high tensile strength for the samples fabricated by cryogenic treatment are the formation of very small-sized precipitates and the relaxation of residual stress during the low temperature process in uphill quenching. In addition, samples subjected to three cycles of cryogenic treatment demonstrated much lower residual stress than, and similar tensile strength compared to, those samples subjected to one cycle of cryogenic treatment or artificial aging treatment.

Streptococcus sanguis의 구형 Hydroxyapatite 비드에의 부착 Assay 방법의 개량 (Improvement of an hydroxyapatite bead adherence assay for streptococcus sanguis)

  • HA 비드에 부착한 S. sanguis 세포는 방사능 측정시 칵테일 속에서 비드에 여전히 부착되어 있음으로 비드에 의한 방사능의 sel-absorpiton이 일어났으며 그 정도는 염산용액으로 비드를 용해시킬 때 측정한 반사능값의 34.5% 이었다. 현탁액으로 준비한 세포의 방사능 측정과는 달리 HA 또는 SHA에 부착한 세포의 경우에는 소량의 scintillation 용액(2.5ml) 사용에서 더 좋은 측정값을 얻었다 . HA 비드에 의한 칭은 약 18% 이었다. 부착 assay 에 사용할 HA 비드 준비에 보통 이용되는 3가지의 dqkdqjqdm 비교에서는 차이가 없었다. 부착실험용의 세균세포는 초소리파로 세균사슬을 끊었는데 30초간의 파절로 세포하나 또는 두개로 주로 구성된 현탁액을 얻을 수 있었다. 본 연구에서는 HA 비드에 부착한 S. sanguis 세포를 측정할 때 self-absorpiton이 일어남을 발견하였고 부착한 세균을 비드에서 탈락하거나 또는 비드를 용해시킨 후 측정함으로써 self-absorption을 제거할 수 있었다. 그리고 부착한 세균의 방사능 측정에서는, 적정의 칵테일량을 발견하여 사용하므로 측정값을 유의하게 증가시킬 수 있었다. 수 있었다.
