  • The object of this study is to empirically analyze the effects of information support quality and service quality on service satisfaction of department store. To investigate the purpose of this study, literature review and survey were conducted. for statistical analysis, factor analysis, analysis of variance(ANOVA), and regression in order by the contingency grouping method were used. In conclusion of this study are as follows First, The regression analysis had effects on information support quality and service satisfaction. Second, The Analysis of variance(ANOVA) and regression had effects on information support quality and service satisfaction as service quality factors. Result, The information support accuracy and service quality had additional effect about customer relation.

  • The quality of the content of a website is the key point for a successful website. Users' satisfaction can be raised by providing distinguished, high quality information. This rises the loyalty of the users to the website. S&T information has different characteristics than others. Therefore, we need special set of indexes to evaluate the quality of S&T information. In this paper, we explain the design and analysis of a user survey for examine the users satisfaction on S&T information. We also show the strategy to raise users'satisfaction based on the survey results.

Influences of Meteorological Conditions of Harvest Time on Water-Soluble Vitamin Contents and Quality Attributes of Oriental Melon (수확기 기상환경이 참외의 수용성비타민 함량 및 품질에 미치는 영향)

  • In our study, oriental melon (Cucumis melo L. var makuwa Makino) was harvested in Seongju at major harvest time from June to August with the intervals of one month in 2009. In order to elucidate the effect of meteorological condition of harvest time on fruit quality and water-soluble vitamin contents of oriental melon, quality attributes including weight, hardness, and sugar were examined and water-soluble vitamin contents such as folic acid and vitamin C were analyzed. Fruit quality factors and water-soluble vitamin contents were the highest in June when rainfall was low and solar radiation was high. Meanwhile, both of them were the lowest in July when it was the worst weather condition for cultivation of oriental melon. After then, the contents of folic acid and vitamin C increased when the rainfall had decreased in Aug. The contents of both vitamins were much high in placenta than peel and flesh. In conclusion, the meteorological condition of the summer season by torrential rains and lack of solar radiation influence water-soluble vitamin contents, especially folic acid contents of oriental melon as well as quality attributes such as hardness and sugar.

Farm Survey on Eggshell Quality and Egg Vitamin D3 Contents in Laying Hens Fed Vitamin D3-enriched Diets (산란계 사료 내 비타민 D3 첨가에 따른 난각품질과 계란내 비타민D3 함량에 관한 농장조사)

  • Vitamin D3 is an essential nutrient which plays an important role in calcium metabolism for eggshell formation, in calcium and phosphorus metabolism for bone mineralization, and in maintaining host immunity. Although there have been a great deal of studies investigating the role of vitamin D3 in eggshell quality and vitamin D3 contents in eggs, no attempts have been made to monitor the eggshell quality and vitamin D3 contents in eggs at farm level. Thus, this survey was conducted to measure eggshell quality and vitamin D3 contents in eggs laid from laying hens fed diets containing different levels of vitamin D3. Eggs from four commercial laying hen farms were sampled before and 1, 2, 3 and 5 weeks after provision of the vitamin D3-enriched diets added with the level of 16,500 IU and 29,000 IU. Dietary vitamin D3 did not affect the eggshell color and breaking strength, but increase the eggshell thickness. In addition, vitamin D3 contents in eggs were elevated as vitamin D3 in diets was increased. It is concluded that addition of dietary vitamin D3 into the diets of laying hens at the commercial laying hen farms could improve eggshell quality and vitamin D3 contents in eggs. It is expected that the prediction equation for egg vitamin D3 contents might be produced if more data on vitamin D3 contents in diets and eggs at the farms are to be analyzed.

  • The conventional database evaluation method is carried out by the way in which the person in charge of each specialty database(DB manager) composes the evaluation sheets for corretionㆍrevision on the already-constructed database in a manual method and carries out the measurement and re-education of DB workers based upon it. As a result, that way consumes much time on career information and measurement works about DB workers, causing low time and cost efficiency and lack of systematic management of DB workers, resulting in becoming the hindrance factor of databases quality improvement. This research provides on-line, red-time results of measurements about the efficiency of DB production and DB workers by combining the static measurement with dynamic measurement by DB manager, both of which utilize the System. Therefore, the DB manager can contribute to the improvement of DB quality by determining the continuation of DB production by DB workers or carrying out the re-education of DB workers without being affected by time or spacial constraints.

Identifying the Service Quality Factors for Web site: A Comparison of Web site Types

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the impacts of e-service quality factors on customer satisfaction and behavior intention by Web site types. Difference and moderating effect resulting from the type of web site users about an association with reaction of satisfaction and those component concepts are also one of the aims in the study. As a result, the study found that factors of web site service quality variables had positive impacts on customer satisfaction. And customer satisfaction also had a positive impact on relationship intention and word of mouth intention. Furthermore, through the comparative analysis, we found that the service quality differed on the effects of customer satisfaction by web site types. According to those results, marketing managers should develop different service strategies based on different web site types.

  • The present study attempted to identify the relationship among cognition of service quality, cognition of contribution, and satisfaction in the international film festival context. A sample survey of 1,897 visitors of eight major international festivals held in Korea was administered throughout the year 2008. The factor analysis identified four factors of service quality. The structural modeling confirmed that all the four service quality factors and cognition of contribution positively affected the satisfaction. The study revealed the constructs of service quality, contribution, and satisfaction in the international film festival context.

The Impact of Video Quality and Image Size on the Effectiveness of Online Video Advertising on YouTube

  • Online video advertising is now an increasingly important tool for marketers to reach and connect with their consumers. The purpose of this study was to empirically investigate the impact of video format on online video advertising. More specifically, this study aimed to explore whether online video quality and image size influences viewer responses toward online video advertising. By conducting an experimental study on YouTube, the results suggested that enhanced video quality of online advertising may have an important impact on effectiveness of the advertising, and the concept of presence is a key to understanding the effects of enhanced video quality in online advertising.

  • This paper is aimed to exam factors in the perceived service quality of web portal site and to analyze their effects on customer satisfaction. And this paper analysis satisfaction effects on revisit intention. To accomplish this purpose, this study examined previous studies and summarized core factors of service quality. Form literature survey, we drawn core factors. They are convenience, technologies, valuable of contents and service, communication, positioning. These core factors will affect on customer trust, satisfaction and satisfaction will affect on revisit intention. This study examined previous studies and summarized core factor in perceived service quality of web portal site. Fourteenth hypothesis were developed. Data for empirical testing were collected through survey to portal sites user. The results of this study are as follows; First, we find that service, communication and positioning have positive influence on the trust. Second, convenience, valuable of contents and postioning factors have a positive influence on the satisfaction. Third, it is shown that satisfaction have a positive influence on the revisit intention.

A Buffer-Status Based HAS Video Transmission Scheme in Wireless Environments

  • Recently, HTTP Adaptive Streaming(HAS), a video streaming service over the HTTP based web platform has become common. The use of HAS service in mobile communication devices such as mobile phones and tablet PCs is rapidly expanding. This paper addresses ways to improve the quality of HAS service by enhancing the terms of viewer satisfaction. HAS systems have several internal operational processes, which can affect viewer satisfaction. Such processes include, the quality determination for the next video chunk, the TCP connections-setup procedure and the congestion control operation of the TCP. This paper proposes a transmission scheme to improve the HAS quality services over mobile web. The proposed scheme takes into consideration the past implicit communication state of the receiver's playback buffer occupancy. The results of these experiments indicate that the proposed scheme can improve the quality of HAS service from the mobile viewer's point of view.
