The purpose of this study were to develop an web-based education program for Lung cancer patients and to test its effects on patients' self-care knowledge, compliance to medical regimen, nutrition status and pain. The program was developed by the following process: first, Lung cancer patients demand on the web-based program was investigated. and second, the program was developed with the help of various reference books and then validation of experts group. last, educations effects on the patients is evaluated and compared the differences in self-care knowledge, compliance to medical regimen, nutrition status and pain between on experimental group and a control group on before discharge 1day and 3weeks after. SPSS/Win 11.0 program was used for data analysis. It was proven with $x^2$ test and t-test, and Pearson Correlation coefficient, and Chronbach's alpha coefficient were done for the reliability of measuring instruments. 1. The summary of the Program development is as follows. The program is based on patients' questionnaire and reference material and is made for users friendly. Not only Bigger font size and bright colors but also illustrations or pictures were adopted to help enhance patients' understanding. 2. The summary of the study results is as follows. 1) Compared with control group, the web-based educated experimental group showed a statistical significant difference on self-care knowledge, Especially disease, radiation treatment, medication & analgesics, chemotherapy side effect, but there was no significant difference in the field of chemotherapy, in the fields of operation, diet & general knowledge. 2) Compared with control group, the web-based educated experimental group showed a statistical significant difference on compliance to medical regimen, especially in the field of follow up care, everyday life, diet, but there was no significant difference in the field of medication, exercise. 3) Compared with control group, web-based educated experimental group showed no significant difference in nutrition status, but partially significant difference in body weight. 4) Compared with control group, the web-based educated experimental group showed no significant difference in pain level. 5) The significantly positive correalation self-care knowledge with the compliance to medical regimen. 6) Users satisfaction with the web-based education program of the contents quality, the level of recommendation to others, content layout, medical information quality, but interesting got a low mark.
Many papers point out that the e-Learning is one of the most important industries, and the effect on other industries can be more powerful than any other business. Therefore, we think about social, cultural, industrial and technological effect of the e-Learning in order to enlarge industry scale as well as educational performances. In many cases of developed countries, various kinds of study have been performed for the e-Learning quality assurance because quality of the e-learning should operate on effective and efficient learning and continuous market development of education industries. The e-Learning quality assurance has import function not only for learning contents reusability like a SCORM and metadata but also for learning system, solution and service operation, so activities for the quality assurance should consider of cultural and tactical approach when it is applied in the e-learning business. In this paper, we present the concept, domain and purpose of the e-Learning quality assurance. Furthermore, this paper proposes the process and methodology in order to make the quality assurance standard model which is consist of 6 phase such as Environment Research, Needs Analysis, Framework, Metrics, Development and Implementation, Evaluation and Feedback through the analysis and comparison of pre-studied worldwide quality control, management and assurance documents.

It has been suggested that bisphenol A (BPA), a known endocrine disruptor, interferes with the endocrine system, causing reproductive dysfunction. Recently, BPA has been found in waste water due to incomplete sewage purification, possibly threatening health through its ingestion via tap water. In this study, young male mice (6 - 7 weeks old) were administered water containing BPA (50 mg·kg-1) for four weeks, while control mice consumed water without BPA. Serum, epididymal spermatozoa and testicular sections were assessed after sacrificing the mice on day 28. No significant differences were obtained between the groups in the body, testis and seminal vesicle weights. However, the epididymal sperm motility and count levels were significantly reduced in BPA-fed mice. Significantly higher hepatotoxicity levels were also observed in mice ingesting BPA as compared to the control mice. The level of serum testosterone was reduced, and testicular sections revealed incomplete and irregular spermatogenesis in BPA-ingested mice. The sperm proteasomal-proteolytic activity level has been implicated in sperm function and is measured in motile spermatozoa using fluorometric substrates. High ubiquitin C-terminal hydrolase activity levels were observed in the control mice without BPA. During a mating trial, a low pregnancy rate (71.4%) was observed in females mated with males who had consumed BPA (100% in the control mice). Overall, BPA adversely affected spermatogenesis and quality, as indicated by decreased sperm motility, concentration and serum testosterone levels, resulting in reduced fertility competence.
The objective of this study was to assess the quality characteristics of Sulggitteok prepared with different ratios of chestnut powder: 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20%. The moisture content of the chestnut Sulggi without added chestnut powder was 38.24% than that of any other chestnut powder added groups and gradually decreased from 33.34~26.27% based on the addition of chestnut powder. In terms of color, the lightness (L) decreased significantly but redness (a) and yellowness (b) significantly (p<0.001) increased with increasing contents of chestnut powder. The total polyphenol content and DPPH free radical scavenging activity increased as the amount of chestnut powder increased and decreased. Total phenol contents of phenol contents was higher in the 10% added group (347.50 mg GAE/100 g) and DPPH radical scavenging activity was significantly higher in the 5% added group ($69.35{\pm}2.02%$) and 10% added group ($74.33{\pm}2.29%$). Texture profile analysis showed that the hardness, adhesiveness, chewiness were higher than that of the control. The result of sensory evaluation test and the overall acceptability showed that the taste, color, flavor, chewiness, softness and overall acceptability were the highest in the 10% added group while the color and flavor showed no significant different group. Based on these results, it is suggested that chestnut Sulggi with up 10% added chestnut powder can be developed as products.

Purpose : Asthma is one of the most common chronic childhood disease. Education of asthmatic children and their families about asthma and its management may improve disease control, reduce symptoms, and improve school performance. The aim of the study was to evaluate the effects of an intensive asthma education program in asthmatic children and their families on outcome measure of asthma management behavior scale, knowledge about asthma, self efficacy scale and quality of life. Methods : Fifteen asthmatic children and their families were invited the intensive asthma education program which including allergen avoidance, management of asthma, correct use of the inhalation devices and control of exercise-induced asthma (study group). Fifteen asthmatic children and their families those who did not participate this program were served as control group. Participants were asked to complete a written questionnaire before and 3-month after the program. Results : After completing the intensive education program, significant improvement of the childrens asthma management behavior scale (27.1 vs. 32.2, P=0.011), belief and knowledge about asthma (14.2 vs. 17.9, P<0.001), self efficacy (47.9 vs. 49.7, P=0.091) and quality of life (79.6 vs. 88.6, P<0.001) was noted in the study group by measuring questionnaires. There are increasing tendencies in parental asthma management behavior scale and knowledge about asthma. Conclusion : This intensive asthma education program is effective in improving asthma control, self efficacy and quality of life of asthmatic children. This should serve as a national model for family-based programs for asthmatic children and their families.

The quality characteristics of kochujang by the level of roasted naked oat flours added were periodically examined during storage for 20 weeks at 25℃(± 2 ℃). The water contents of kochujang with roasted naked oat flours decreased gradually as the level of added roasted naked oat flours increased (p<.05), whereas they increased gradually by time during storage. The pH of kochujang with roasted naked oat flours increased gradually according to the added level(p<.001), whereas pH decreased gradually by time during storage. But the acidity changed opposite of pH. The L(lightness), a(redness) and b(yellowness)-values of samples increased according to the amount of added naked oat flours, while decreased gradually by time during storage. The salinity and sweetness of samples decreased gradually according to the amount of added naked oat flours(p<.001). Amino acid composition of kochujang with roasted naked oat flours was higher than that of the control sample during storage. In the kochujang with roasted naked oat flours after 20 weeks of storage at 25℃(± 2 ℃), 17 kinds of amino acid contents were examined, and the glutamic acid was found to increase as the level of added naked oat flours increased: 959.69 mg/100 g for control, 983.55 mg/100 g, 1,070.72 mg/100 g for 5%, 10% and 1,169.62 mg/100 g for 15%. As a result of the above results, it was found that the quality characteristics of kochujang by addition level of roasted naked oat flours could be improved, and the possibility of developing kochujang beneficial to health was confirmed.

Modern people in the $21^{st}$ century utilize their external appearance as a tool to express their personalities and social activities for the improvement of cultural life and the acceleration of information transfer. The expression of beauty is a method of communication from the view point of creation in addition to the exchange of meaning & value, and it has become a method of image transfer due to the increased desire for a better appearance. The beauty industry was established in 1948 by the execution of the 1st hairdresser's license test, and has been developed in full scale through the enactment of the public health control act. Therefore, beauty education is currently qualitatively and quantitatively developed, and the educational role of the beauty institute has expanded to include training beauty professionals. Private beauty institutes provide students with beauty related education in preparation for the national technical qualification examinations or private beauty association tests. These beauty education opportunities enable aspiring beauticians to attend various beauty competition events and acquire a sense of accomplishment. The purpose of this study was to determine how the quality of the beauty educational institutes affects the re-registration rate, and to analyze the effect of the beauty educational institutes quality on the intention of re-registrations using a survey. The study results show that variables such as 'lecture satisfaction', 'internal environment satisfaction', 'facility satisfaction', and 'tuition satisfaction' are significantly related to the rate of re-registrations, with 'lectures satisfaction' especially having the largest influence on re-registration.

Water quality has been considered to be one of sanitation standard operating procedures (SSOP) for hazard analysis critical control points (HACCP) application in aquaculture farms. This study was conducted to evaluate a hazard caused by water used in aquaculture farm of rainbow trout. The water quality was analyzed to investigate both physiochemical and bacteriological level in water samples collected from aquaculture farm of rainbow trout, Oncorhynchus mykiss. No significant difference were observed on water temperature and pH from season to season. However, the levels of dissolved oxygen were decreased as the outside temperature was increased, even if the levels were adequate for aquaculture. Also, other physiochemical analysis including biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), chemical oxygen demand (COD) and suspended solid (SS) revealed that the waters for aquaculture analyzed in this study was suitable for rainbow trout aquaculture. The bacterial analyses were also revealed that the waters for aquaculture were met to both coliform group (<18 MPN/100mL) and viable cell count (<100 CFU/mL). However, some of waste waters from aquaculture farms showed higher levels of BOD and COD than those of waste water standard (<2 ppm), suggesting that regular cleaning of fish tank and precipitation tank is needed.
The principal objective of was to assess the effects of herb extracts on the antioxidant activity and quality characteristics of Maejakgwa. The total phenolic and flavonoid contents were found to be the highest by a significant degree in the rosemary, lavender, thyme, lemon balm and olive samples, in order. With regard to electron donating ability, increasing concentrations of added herbs resulted in a more significant rise in the DPPH radical scavenging effect in a range of concentrations of between $100{\sim}1000{\mu}g/m{\ell}$. In particular, the rosemary, lavender, and thyme samples were shown to be lower in antioxidant activity than ascorbic acid, but higher than a-tocopherol, thus the antioxidant activities detected in the rosemary, lavender, and thyme samples were considered to be excellent. With regard to reducing ability, increases in the concentration of added herb extract resulted in significant growth. However, the anti-oxidative activity detected in the rosemary extract was indicated to be superior even to that of $\alpha$-tocopherol when added to concentrations of $500{\sim}1,000{\mu}g/m{\ell}$. In our assessment of external appearance, color, flavor, texture, and overall quality, the highest preference was seen in the control group and in the group with 2% added rosemary extract. The lowest score was earned in the group with a 5% addition of rosemary. The functional ingredients and antioxidant activities of the samples were excellent. Our results appear to indicate that rosemary has some value as a natural antioxidant that can prevent oxidation in food.
This study was attempted to evaluate how the self efficacy promotion and exercise training program effect on the postoperative general conditions of transplant recipients after kidney transplantations. The subjects were selected randomly among the patients who underwent renal trans- plantations at three major transplantation hospitals in Seoul, Korea. This study was carried out between November 1999 and March 2000. The observed subjects in this study consisted of 56 patients. The exercise training group(n=16) received the self efficacy promotion and exercise training program for 12 weeks which contained general knowledge for compliance instruction, exercise training and self efficacy promotion education. The self efficacy group(n=18) received general knowledge for compliance instruction and self efficacy promotion education but no exercise training was given. The control group(n=22) were not offered any education. The knowledge for compliance, self efficacy, physical conditions(weight, muscle strength, muscle endurance, flexibility), lab studies (hemoglobin, creatinine, cholesterol), activities of daily living and quality of life were evaluated 3 times, before the experiment, at 8 weeks and at 12 weeks. The data were analyzed with mean, standard deviation, Chi-square test, ANOVA and Scheff test. The results were as follows: 1. The knowledge and self efficacy score of the exercise training group and self efficacy group were significantly increased than those of the control group(p=.0001). 2. The weight of the exercise training group was significantly decreased compared to those of the self efficacy group and the control group(p=.0001). Muscle strength (grip strength, back lift strength), and flexibility of all 3 groups were significantly changed(p=.0001). However, muscle endurance in all 3 groups showed no significant differences. 3. The hemoglobin level of the exercise training group and the self efficacy group were significantly increased compared to that of the control group(p=.0001) and the cholesterol levels of the exercise training group and the self efficacy group were significantly decreased compared to that of the control group(p=,0001). However, the creatinine levels in all 3 groups showed no significant differences. 4. The activities of daily living scores of the exercise training group was significantly increased than that of the control group (p=.0003), and the quality of life scores of the exercise training group and the self efficacy group were significantly better than that of the control group(p=.0001). It would be expected that this self efficacy promotion and exercise training program could be applied widely as an effective nursing intervention for kidney transplant recipients.
