Handling Quality Improvements of Fly-By-Wire Helicopter using Combined Model Following Controller with Decoupler

  • The combined model following control (MFC)-decoupler system is employed for a full authority fly-by-wire utility helicopter to enhance handling qualities. The MFC, which governs the vehicle to follow the prescribed model, is widely employed for modern helicopters. However, it may not be sufficient as helicopters often suffer significant cross coupling. The coupled responses between control axes of a helicopter increase the pilot's work load and may degrade handling qualities. As the decoupler is introduced to the MFC, the combined MFC-decoupler effectively solves the coupling problems and enhances handling qualities. The proposed system is verified via the handling qualities prediction using the mathematical dynamics model. The analysis results are confirmed through the piloted simulation.

On the Mythic Qualities of Television Culture

  • The purpose of this study is to discuss the mythic qualities of television culture. The basic assumption for the study is that to enrich our understanding of television culture in terms of its mythic qualities will be helpful to those who are interested in the production and the studies of television contents in developing their creative ideas. The study discusses the theoretical conceptions of myth and ritual and their applicability to the study of television culture from the multi-disciplinary perspective. So, it deals with significant theoretical works by a number of great contemporary social or cultural thinkers including Carey, Cassirer, Durkheim, van Gennep, Turner, and Eliade. After all, the result of the study identifies three key features of mythic qualities of television culture including 'commonsensicalness,' 'emotionalness,' and 'mediatorialness.'

대전지역 대학병원의 서비스 품질이 전반적인 병원 서비스 만족에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Service Qualities with University Hospitals in Daejeon on their Overall Service Satisfaction)

  • The study investigated the major factors in regards to the effects of service qualities with university hospitals in Daejeon on their overall service satisfaction. In regards to service qualities, the hypothesis was verified through multiple regression analysis in terms of professionalism, kindness, credibility, and facilities/environment. As a result, all professionalism(0.462), kindness(0.142), credibility(0.258) and facilities/environment(0.184) showed positive effects on their overall service satisfaction level. In particular, professionalism showed the greatest effect by 0.462. As patients' and caretakers' desire to service quality becomes diversified, the analysis result is considered to help the future medical service management at university hospitals by analyzing the major factors which affect the service quality and by finding the methods to increase the service satisfaction.

  • The evaluation of simulation models against ADS-33 quantitative rotorcraft handling qualities metrics has, in the past, been a time consuming effort, involving many individual analyses in both the time and frequency domains. Manual tuning of control system parameters to meet handling qualities and performance specifications has been cumbersome and complicated. Performing rigorous trade-off studies for numerous variations in the control system is too time consuming to be practicable. With the complex interaction of time- and frequency based specifications for the closed- and broken-loop responses, it is difficult to know if the design makes the most effective use of the available control power. The Control Designer's Unified Interface (CONDUIT) software makes possible rapid optimization and trade-offs of design configurations against handling qualities specifications.

카노모델을 이용한 스마트 트렁크 기능의 고객 만족에 관한 연구 (A Study on Customer Satisfaction for Smart Trunk using the Kano Model)

  • 최근 자동차 산업은 차량의 전동화, 디지털화 및 자율 주행으로 대표되는 신기술 도입으로 급변하고 있다. 국내외 주요 자동차 회사는 성능 위주의 제품개발에서 UX(user interface)로 고객에게 특별한 경험과 가치를 제공하기 위해서 고객 만족에 대한 체계적인 접근을 시도하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 만족도에 대한 체계적이고 정성적인 연구방법으로 Kano 모델을 제안한다. 사례연구로 스마트 트렁크 시스템의 사용사례(use case)와 고객의 요구사양을 분석하여 17개의 기능(동작기능 3개, 안전기능 7개, 편의 기능 7개)을 정리하고 창의발상코드(creative ideation codes)를 이용하여 8개의 새로운 기능을 도출하였다. 그리고 기능별 고객이 느끼는 품질특성과 선호강도에 대한 과학적인 분석 방법을 제안하였다. 스마트 트렁크 기능에 대해 소비자가 느끼는 품질특성을 분석한 결과, 25개의 기능 중 18개는 매력적 품질특성, 3개는 일원적 품질특성 그리고 4개는 일원-당연 복합 품질특성으로 분류되었다. 그리고 일원적 품질특성과 일원-당연복합 품질특성을 갖는 기능이 매력적 품질특성의 기능보다 상대적으로 고객선호도가 높다는 것을 확인하였다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 스마트 트렁크 시스템을 개발하는 기업은 고객의 불만을 최소화하고 고객 만족을 극대화할 수 있기를 기대한다.

유아교육 현장의 원장에 대한 질적 연구 (Qualitative research director for the field of early childhood education)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 유아교육 현장에서 원장이 갖춰야 할 것이 무엇인지 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 어린이집에서 종사하는 10년 이상의 경력을 지닌 원장 10명을 연구 참여자로 선정하여 그들이 교육현장에서 경험하고 탐구한 원장으로서의 필요한 자질과 역할, 태도와 이미지에는 어떤 것이 있는지 알아보고, 그것이 교사들에게 어떤 영향을 미치는지 밝혀내고자 토론과 심층면담을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유아교육현장에서 요구하는 원장의 자질은 전문가적 자질이나 지도자적 자질보다 인성적 자질이 우선적으로 요구되었다. 둘째, 교사의 역량을 키우고, 교육을 활성화시키는데, 교육에 대한 책임감 있는 자세와 전문가적인 태도는 원장이 갖춰야 할 중요한 요소로 요구되었다. 셋째, 원장의 이미지는 교사의 의사결정과 교육에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다.

영아보육의 실태 및 질적 특성 평가에 기초한 보육의 질 제고 (A Study on the Qualities of Infant Day-Care Centers and Caregiver′s Interactions with Infants)

  • The purposes of this study were to investigate the qualities of infant day-care centers and the caregivers' interactions with infants. Forty-six day-care centers from Seoul, Daejeon, and Daegu were enrolled in this study. Two kinds of methods were used for data collection; one was the Assessment Scale for Infant/Toddler Care Center developed by Choi and the other was the Qualitative Rating Scale for Caregiver used in the NICHD Early Child Care Project. Frequency, percentile, Crollbach's, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation were calculated for data analysis. Qualities on 5 factors of infant day-care centers were ranged from 3.44∼4.35, the highest with health managing and the lowest with support system in the Likert 5-point scales. Sensitivity, developmental stimulation and positive regard to child, which are the caregiver's positive interactions with infants were rated minimally or usually characteristic. In addition, intrusiveness, detachment, negative regard to child and flatness, which are negative interactions with infants were rated never or minimally characteristic. Finally, some suggestions for good quality and facilitation of infant care were made.

저장온도 및 포장방법이 건멸치의 미생물학적 및 관능적 품질에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Storage Temperature and Packaging Methods on the Microbiological and Organoleptic Qualities of Boiled-Dried Anchovies)

  • Microbiological and organoleptic qualities of boiled anchovies were evaluated during storage for 8 months at different temperatures and packaging methods. Microbial populations of marketing samples were 106~107 CFU/g in aerobic bacteria, 103~106 CFU/g in yeasts/molds and 103~105 CFU/g in coliforms, respectively, which were the highest in retail sample, followed by in military goods and wholesale sample. Moreover, anchovies supplied for retail sale and military goods were contaminated with sanitary indicative microbes. The samples stored at ambient condition(15~33$^{\circ}C$, RH 5$0^{\circ}C$95%) lost their marketable quaity mainly due to microbial propagation prior to 6 months, irrespective of packaging methods, corrugated-cardboard box and laminated-film(nylon 15${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$/PE 100${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$). However, cooling(5~1$0^{\circ}C$) as well as well as freezing temperatures($\leq$-18$^{\circ}C$) following laminated-film packaging were effective for keeping the organoleptic qualities of stored anchovies up to 8 months. The population of yeasts and molds was shown the quality-indicative criteria for stored anchovies and their critical levels were 5.00 log counts/g, showing a higher negative-correlationship(r=-0.901) with changes in organoleptic quality.

  • Near future dynamics of water qualities (nutrient concentration) of the Han River was predicted, based on a mathematical model representing the relationship between the nutrient concentration in th river wagter and environmental factors (population density, land-use types, rock compositions and nutrient accumulation) in the basin. The population density and land-use types were forecasted to change distinctly in the downstream area, especially in Seoul City area in 1985~1990 whereas any environmental factor was not expected to change its level significantly in both upstream and middle reaches areas. It was indicated by the model that the nutrients concentration in the up- and mid-streams would keep its level in future as it was, but it would increase drastially in the downstream area. For the preservation of the water qualities in the downstream at least to keep its level as it was in 1980, practical countermeasures were proposed, based on the assessment of the contribution of each environmental factor to the water qualities.
