  • This study examined the awareness, understanding, attitudes, and purchase intention regarding food labeling on bakery products in the context of health consciousness. The purpose of the study was to provide basic data for bakery product labeling, which has been insufficient to date, and to develop measures to expand the labeling system. The results of the study showed that higher subjective understanding and better attitude towards bakery food labeling can positively increase the purchase intention. We believe that the bakery industry needs to promote food labeling proactively, while also developing products addressing health concerns. This study is also valuable to academia because it provides insights into the relationship between the consumer's understanding of and attitudes towards nutritional information and purchase intention. In addition, it is beneficial to the bakery industry because it establishes marketing strategies that increase the purchase intent among both consumers with high health consciousness and those who infrequently purchase baked goods.

  • The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the product image produced by the cinemagraph image and the product image produced by the general image in the electronic trade. The cinemagraph refers to the image with a special characteristic that provides the motion clue by playing the part of the picture endlessly in the form of a video. For this study, we explored how the perceived monetary value, brand attitude, and perceived taste would influence on the purchase intention, and it was analyzed that all of the three factors significantly influenced on the purchase intention. However, it was investigated that the purchase intention of the group watching the image by the cinemagraph was significantly influenced by the perceived monetary value and the perceived taste, and the purchase intention of the other group watching the general image was significantly influenced by the brand attitude and the perceived taste; therefore, it was verified that there was a difference between the group watching the cinemagraph and the group watching the general image. In this result, it could be interpreted that when the people watching the cinemagraph purchase a product in the shopping mall, the price becomes the important requirement, and when the people watching the general image purchase a product in the shopping mall, the brand becomes the important requirement; therefore, these results could provide great implications to the food marketers.

  • The purpose of this study was to measure the causal relationships between past consumption, health belief, subjective, attitude, intention and purchase of organic foods. Total 326 copies of questionnaire were completed. The structural equation model was used to measure the causal effect among constructs. The results demonstrated that the confirmatory factor analysis model provided a good model fit. The proposed model yielded a significantly better fit to the data than the baseline model and the extended model. The effects of past consumption, health belief and subjective norm on attitude and intention were statistically significant. The effects of attitude on intention and behavior to purchase organic food were statistically significant. As expected, health belief and subjective had significant effects on behavior to purchase organic foods. Moreover, past consumption, health belief and subjective norm had indirect influences on intention through mediated variables. Based on the empirical results and findings, some suggestions are provided to the institutions concerned so as to facilitate this organic sector's on-going expansion in the food industry.
