In this study, a pull-out test considering the adhesive type, embedded length, and direction of re-bar was conducted to evaluate the pull-out performance of glued-in rod joints using timber and adhesive produced in Korea. In the test, the specimens using liquid adhesive showed better pull-out performance, and the longer the embedded length of the re-bar, the higher the maximum tensile load by inducing the yield of the re-bar first. Through the test results, a glued-in rod joints design, which is advantageous to design the adhesive strength stronger than the yield strength of re-bar, was proposed, and a correction factor of 0.75 for the adhesive strength considering construction error was also suggested.
In this paper, through experimental research, the period when rock bolts exert support effects is presented as grout strength and through numerical analysis, the rock bolt pull-out behavior according to ground conditions and strength reduction factors is analyzed. As a result, it is determined that rock bolts exhibit their reinforcing effect at a grout strength of 5 MPa (cured for 18 hours). The influence of the boundary interface strength reduction factor was found to be significant for rock bolt displacement in weak ground conditions, for shear stress between grout and ground in highly elastic ground conditions, and for grout stress in all ground conditions. These findings are expected to contribute to the establishment of specific standards for rock bolt testing and numerical analysis, and to facilitate improved design and implementation of rock bolt reinforcement.

In this study, pull-out tests were performed to investigate the effects of stirrup spacing, rebar diameter, and corrosion rate on bond strength of deformed bars in reinforced concrete. Twelve pull-out specimens with different stirrup spacing, rebar diameter, and corrosion rate were prepared following the RILEM RC6 guidelines. The test results showed that the bond strength of specimens with stirrups increased when the corrosion rate was less than 3%, whereas it decreased when the corrosion rate was more than 3%. On the other hand, the bond strength of specimens without stirrups decreased as the corrosion rate increased. The effect of rebar diameter was less significant compared to those of stirrup spacing and corrosion rate. A bond strength model for pull-out specimens was proposed considering stirrup ratio and corrosion rate, and the model showed the lowest error among the previous models.

Recently, according to the industrial development relative to multimedia, demand of display system is radically increase, thus development for power supply of back-lighting is advanced lively. Fluorescent lamp operated at high frequency by the electronic ballast provide benefits like unnoticeable flicker effect and higher luminous efficiency. This paper presents analysis of Push-Pull type resonant inverter for CCFL drive for stable characteristic and life improvement of fluorescent lamp operated at high frequency. Also it has proposed design procedure of Current-Fed type resonant inverter. On the basis of equivalent circuit, component characteristic and suitable region of operation frequency from simulation using Matlab and Pspice is predicted. Suitability of applied equivalent model and validity of design process from the experimental results with CCFL inverter.

In this study a cantilevered carbon nanotube(CNT) switch was investigated with the linear and the nonlinear structural models incorporating the electrostatic force and van der Waals interactions between the CNT and ground surface. Due to the applied voltage and van der Waals interactions the CNT deforms statically and dynamically and finally pull into the surface. When the nonlinear model is considered in case of the relatively large gap between the CNT and the surface, the static pull-in voltage was increased due to the nonlinear hardening effect. Also the dynamic response was investigated with the different external dc and ac voltages. The CNT shows various dynamic behaviors and instabilities including dynamic pull-in. Based on this study, further research on the dynamic and nonlinear stability of CNT nanodevices should be requested to develop the new type of nano switches or nano-memory.
Monolayers such as self-assembled monolayer (SAM) have received considerable attention to reduce stiction and friction in micro-devices and microelectromechanical systems (MEMS). Various organic molecular films were investigated to obtain better understanding of their tribological behaviors and adhesion property. The organic molecular films studied in this work are: epoxysilane SAMs, octadecyltricholosilane (OST), multi-layers composed of epoxysilane SAMs, poly[styrene-b-(ethylene-co-butylene)-b-styrene](SEBS) and compound of epoxy resin and poly (paraphenylene)(EP/PPP). The pull-off forces of these films were also obtained from force-distance curves measured in static mode of operation of atomic force microscope(AFM). Tribological tests were conducted with a ball-on-flat reciprocating friction tester. The OST showed the lowest pull-off force, indicating its low adhesion property. It was revealed that, the OST, EP/PPP and the multi-layer of epoxysilane SAMs, SEBS and EP/PPP exhibited good tribological properties at the lower load (0.3 N) whereas the OST showed best performance at the higher load (1.8 N).

This study performed to evaluated musculoskeletal disorders(MSDs) during sitting work. The musculskeletal system is affected by various work factors such as strength, weight, posture, repetition, duration and exertion. Ergonomic study on sitting work is necessary to evaluate these factors affecting human body. But the strength and work load data by the work factors are insufficient in Korea. Therefore, this study evaluated the work load using the elcctromyogram(EMG) and measured the arm strength by arm posture and push pull work during sitting work. to evaluated muscle load, the vertical height and horizontal angle of arm were adjusted around acromion. And EMG data were recorded on pc during the test.
The push pull forward converter is a very suitable circuit for low output voltage, high output current applications with a wide input voltage range. All the magnetic components (output inductor, transformer, input filter) can be integrated into a single core. The integrated magnetics can reduce the number of the magnetic components. Developed the push pull forward converter rating are of 36 $\~$72V input and 3.3V/30A output. In this converter, the efficiency was measured by $76.4\%$ at full load and 82.95$\%$ at full load. The maximum efficiency is up to 83.$\%$ at 200kHz switching frequency, l1A output.
