달가림 관측을 목적으로 고속계수기를 설계, 제작하였다. 이 계수기는 외부 관측소로의 이동성, 비용의 절감, 제작의 편의성을 고려하여 애플 주변슬롯에 꽂히는 카드형식으로 설계되었으며, 운영을 위한 프로그램은 어셈블러로 작성되었다.

Some important problems for the bimodal initial mass function(IMF) of field stars in the solar neighborhood, the relation of the IMF of field stars with the combined IMF of open star clusters and the time-dependent IMF of young star clusters are discussed particularly by comparing their observed and computed present day mass functions.

Rapid progress in modern computer industries now enables us to solve the Einstein equations numerically. In the first part of this paper we briefly review how to deal with those equations in relativistic astrophysics and cosmology. In the second part we introduce two examples-the Centrella and Wilson's cosmology and the Shapiro and Teukolsky's relativistic stellar cluster.

The most favourable possibilities to observe the phenomena of gravitational lensing are the high amplification events and the time delay between the images. These effects provide us the information to determine the Hubble parameter and the matter distribution in the universe. The image properties due to micro-lensing also is of an importance to find out the size and the structure of the source.

Dark matter in various size of scales is reviewed briefly. The evidence of dark matter in dwarf spheroidal galaxies is still uncertain. However there is no doubt about the existence of dark matter in larger scales. Many proposed candidates for dark matter are still speculative. Several possibilities of direct detection of dark matter are proposed.

The current status of numerical simulations of galaxy formation is reviewed. After a description of the main numerical simulation techniques, I will present several applications in order to illustrate how numerical simulations have improved our understanding of the galaxy formation process.

We examined the characteristics of the SNU uvby, $H_{\beta}$ filter system through the computation of theoretical photometric indices and the transformation of the observed instrumental system to the natural and standard systems.
