Information Systems (IS) auditing has been know to be helpful in developing optimal IS and managing information resources successfully. The public sector of Korea has witnessed the rapidly growing demand for IS auditing. However, there is a dearth of research that evaluate the effects of IS auditing. This study assesses the impacts of IS auditing based on a process perspective. In order to evaluate the effects objectively and properly, the current study collected empirical data from 58 firms. This stuuy confirmed that IS auditing was a very effective tool for successful IS implementation. The results show that IS auditing improves “project management”, “support”, and “engineering” practices while it does not make any impact on “contract” practice. In general, IS auditing has a tremendous impact on facilitating organization’quality improvement efforts.

Current audit reports on IS development projects provide useful information to stakeholders but have such limitations as the lack of quantification of audit results and the insufficient recommendations on success factors. The purpose of this study is to solve these limitations, leading audit reports to become of future-oriented contents and form. This research was conducted through the logical inference from the review on the related literature, the analysis of audit reports from 1996 to 1998, and the collection of data from interviews and questionnaires with IS auditors. As a result of the study, eighteen success factors were identified for the development of IS projects, including the adequate composition of the system development team, the degree of project manager's cooperation with the client organization, and the timing of decision making.

This study attempts to investigate the effects of different types of debts on economic growth in Bangladesh using time series data spanning from 2000 to 2015. In this study, the RDL model has been applied to determine the long run relationship among the selected variables. The result of the ARDL model shows that there exists a long term relationship between economic growth and the debt variables. It was evident from the findings that there exists bidirectional causality between public sector external debt and economic growth. Causality between private external debt and economic growth has been found to be insignificant. However, causality between domestic debt and economic growth showed a unidirectional causality from domestic debt to economic growth and not vice versa. Causality tests suggest that impact of domestic debt on economic growth is more effective compared to external debts.

Today, use of high resolution satellite image with at least 1m resolution is expanding into many more areas including forest, river way, city, seashore and so forth for disaster prevention. Interest in this medium is increasing among the general public due to the roll-out to the private sector as Google earth, Virtual Earth and so forth. However, pre-processing process that revises the geometrical distortion that result at the time of photographing is required in order to use high resolution satellite image. The purpose of this research is to search the most accurate GCP(Ground Control Point) information acquisition method that is used for the revision of high resolution satellite image's geometrical distortion through automated processing. Through this, it is possible to contribute to increasing the level of accuracy at the time of high resolution satellite image revision and to secure promptness.

Since the introduction of the C.M(Construction Management)system in the Basic Law of the Construction Industry in 1997, the recent arrangement of construction management engineers in public sector buildings has generally been based on architecture·civilengineering·machinery·landscaping, electricity, telecommunication, fire fighting by the number of M/M(Man and Month). In the field of engineers arrangement in each field, the arrangement of M/M according to the workload of architecture.civilengineering.machinery.landscaping and electricity is inadequate causing conflicts and C.M among construction management engineers. Therefore, this study aims at basic research that is used to identify the problems through the questionnaire and to prepare future improvement plans.

The International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code which was developed as the main response of the shipping sector to the miserable event of 11 September 2001 came into effect on 1 July 2004. The ISPS Code designed to detect and eliminate security threats affecting ships and port facilities used in international trade will significantly impact not only on the management and operation of the shipping industry but also on maritime law despite the fact that it is the regulatory framework of public law. It is expected that implementing the ISPS Code will contribute to reinforcement of maritime security on the one hand. However, on the other hand, more intensified security inspection and control measures of port states will also cause delay and additional costs which cause uncertainty in allocating security risk and cost between the contracting parties. Therefore, it is desire to insert new security clause dealing with main security issues or adapt existing clauses to new shipping environments to minimize disputes.

The Korea-US dispute on telecom standards has shown the inability of existing trade rules that can be applicable to standardization policy in telecom services sector. It has entailed plenty of dissenting but unsolved trade issues, including legal jurisdiction over technical standards on telecom services and their compatibility with WTO agreements. Question remains how US will cope with this tricky trade puzzle. This paper points out that Korea-US negotiations on telecom standards have provided US with a momentum to think seriously over the necessity of further rule-setting on telecom standards, and FTAs are the rescue train for US to ride on for that purpose. That is to say, US is taking advantage of FTA as a means to promote its national commercial goals by creating trade rules, which seek to deprive its trading partners of regulatory autonomy in telecom standardization. Based upon the research output, it is very important for Korean government in the upcoming Korea-US FTA negotiations to ensure facilitating public policy objectives in telecom standardization as possible as it can, and not to adopt the provision of international standards in the existing US' FTAs.

본 논문에서는 도로, 하천건설, 댐건설 등 공익사업 중에 발생하는 보상업무와 관련하여 보상민원을 감소시키고 투명한 보상체계 수립을 위해 첨단 ICT 기술을 활용한 선진화된 보상체계 개발에 필요한 12개의 핵심요소기술을 도출하였다. 핵심요소 기술도출을 위해 전문가 설문 및 면담 등을 통해 18개의 후보군을 도출하였으며 6개의 체크리스트를 활용하여 12개의 핵심요소기술을 도출하였다. 도출된 주요내용으로는 보상민원을 줄일 수 있는 다양한 의사결정 및 사전검토 기술, 보상물건 측정 및 계측 자동화 기술, 클라우드 기반의 표준화된 보상자료 관리시스템 개발, 보상 민원 처리 및 공개기술 등이 포함되었다. 본 논문에서 도출된 핵심요소기술을 기반으로 보상업무 체계를 개편할 경우 보상업무 스마트화 및 첨단화가 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

Urban transit vehicle that uses electrical energy, is faster, safer and energy-efficient public transit than other means. As a Research method, the Matlab/Simulink are used to modeling a regenerative brake-capable train, and actual parameters such as powering and braking characteristics, all kinds of resistance, passenger load, velocity, gradient, radius of curve etc and powering and breaking commands per time or distance are inputted to train's dynamic equation, then a simulation program is made and used to yield train driving pattern and driving time and the amount of driving energy used thereby at auto and manual operation and at all sector.

While an increasing number of people across diverse audience groups are engaging in discussions about the onset of the 4th industrial revolution, it remains challenging to pinpoint the symptoms of this phenomenon. This research, recognizing this difficulty, employed a time-series data-tuned cluster analysis to uncover evidence of industrial and technological convergence among the United States, Japan, and Korea by using time-series industrial R&D data and industrial wage data as indirect measures of industrial competitiveness and technology convergence. The results showed that the recent U.S. case of 2010-2019 data clearly featured the" phenomenon Tesla", which shows the convergence of Aerospace, Transportation equipment, and software. Supporting evidence for that comes from the results from the previous periods in the three countries, which shows a high concentration of cor manufacturing sectors, but no symptoms of convergence.
