Thailand Institute of Nuclear Technology and its alliances together developed the classification model for the nuclear energy public perception from the big data comments on social media using Facebook using deep transfer learning. The objective was to insight into the Thailand nuclear energy public perception on Facebook social media platform using sentiment analysis. The supervised learning was used to generate up-to-date classification model with more than 80% accuracy to classify the public perception on nuclear power plant news on Facebook from 2009 to 2022. • This study was to investigate factors of risk perception on major environmental issues among general public and environmental experts in Korea. Structured questionnaire surveys were conducted to samples from general public and environmental experts during March and April, 2000. Total numbers of respondents were 773, general public and 353 experts. Analysis of the data showed that risk perception was correlated with health concern, environmental satisfaction, perception of environmental pollution, interest on the environmental issues, knowledge, experiences, and social-cultural consciousness, and so on. Overall environmental risk perception was affected by knowledge on environmental issues, experience of damage from environmental problems, sex and perception of environmental pollution. According to the results, environmental risk perception is not independent from social and psychological factors, and it may be desirable to consider the related factors in the process of risk communication for a more effective risk management or environmental policy.

  • This study begins with a review of commonly discussed dimensions of public risk perception that may influence public opinion toward risks. Factors that have been revealed by the literature to have substantial impact on risk perception, such as demographic background, trust, and media environment, are also discussed. Meanwhile, we evaluate two well-known research models in the realm of risk analysis: 1) the psychometric paradigm, and 2) the social amplification of risk framework (SARF). Based on a literature review, this study suggests that, besides the psychological and social approach, models of risk perception and risk communication research should shift to a more comprehensive one by considering the interrelations between laypeople and the environment. This study proposes a research model from the perspective of social cognitive theory (SCT) as a potential framework for future studies: 1) in the societal environment, individuals' risk perception and information seeking behavior, which is determined by risk perception will be influenced by trust in regulators and interpersonal trust; 2) in the media environment, individuals' risk perception and information seeking behavior will be influenced by individuals' perceived information characteristics. Knowledge about risk accumulated through information seeking will change risk perception in a longitudinal process.

  • This study aims to examine how the specialty of librarians links between users' library experience and their resulting perception of the library in public libraries. After reviewing theoretical background studies, a questionnaire survey was conducted at six public libraries in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. The analysis of the survey results showed that the perception of librarians' specialty had a mediation effect on the relationship between cultural, educational activity and library perception. However, information activity was not linked by the perception of librarians' specialty and only directly influenced on the library perception. Accordingly, the result raised a question of a discrepancy between the areas where the users gain the value of the library and where the librarians' specialty is perceived and some implications were suggested. This research is meaningful in integrating the users' library experience, librarians' specialty, and the library performance by external point of view on the specialty, traditionally regarded as an internal characteristic of the librarianship.

The climate change has been highlighted due to its social and environmental impact on future society during decades. In recent, the outbreak of COVID-19 alerted the causal relationship between diseases and the climate change and forced decision-makers to cope with possible future epidemics. Along with the social and political importance of the climate change, the perception and actions of the public also become significant. Thus, this study analyzes the trends in the public perception of climate change before and after the COVID-19, using social media big data from March 1, 2019 through February 28, 2022. The results show that the negative perception dominated the public's perception, but a little positive perception implies that numerous policies on the climate change may help the public convert their negative perception to the positive. This study may help the decision-makers develop future policies and strategies on the climate change and carbon neutrality by considering the demand-side perception, such as South Korean perception.

  • The long-term perception investigation of environment is needed for the persistence of each country's policy on climate change, which is greatly influenced by external factors. Long term data on perception and attitudes of people's thought can be a big data point for climate change and consistent policies can be implemented with the need for public demand. Information on the perception of the general public regarding the environment should be carried out as a basis for the national environmental policy.

The results getting from this research were as to follows; First of all, the perception on the military organization-public relationship towards local community is more positive in the military officials(M=5.39) than the locals(M=4.99), but different from the two groups(t=6.93, p<.001). Moreover, there exists statistically significant different in every sub-factors and it means the mutual perception consistency is low. Second, the perception on the support from the locals towards military family welfare of military(M=5.38) is higher(t=6.93, p<.001) than the perception of the locals (M=4.76) and it is statistically significant. Third, the a regression coefficient which indicates the impact on the perception on support military family welfare through the change of organization-public relationship shows statistically significant (${\beta}=.82$(p<.001)). As a result, the perception on the military organization-public relationship of the locals has significant prediction power to the perception on the support military family welfare. And when the perception on the military organization-public relationship of the localsis higher, the perception on the support military family welfare has been changed positively.
