This paper describes the simulation study, conducted on the propagation characteristics of AE signal. In the case of gas insulation, such as SF6, the equipment is less affected by the environment condition than air insulation, because the component parts of equipment were placed in the enclosure, which is filled with compressed gas. But, when the breakdown in the electric insulation occurs, it takes much time and economical efforts to repair. Therefore it is very important to diagnose the equipment before the accident. And, in general, UHF and AE signal is the most common transducer to diagnose the state of the power equipment, so, in this investigation, we make a experimental apparatus with aluminum plate and transient analysis with ANSYS to observe the propagation characteristics of AE signal. Through the result of the analysis, we can make a further understanding on the propagation characteristics of AE signal, and get the fundamental skills for the GIS diagnosis.
It is widely known that the ultra high frequency (UHF) method that detects the electromagnetic wave of the PD pulses in the gas insulated space is one of the most competitive methods for its high sensitivity. From the above point of view, this paper describes the propagation characteristics of GIS PD signals measured with ultra wide band (UWB) GIS PD detecting system in which PD signals are detected into the dual UHF band. The UWB PD detection system consists of the UWB UHF coupler, the UWB low noise amplifier (LNA) and the oscilloscope. The dual bands for PD signals are 0.5-2GHz(full band) and 1-2GHz(high band). As results, propagation characteristics of GIS PD signals were measured in the mock-up GIS bus and it was found that the propagation characteristics of the high band showed a better result in accordance with the infernal configuration of the GIS bus than those of the full band.

This study examines factors influencing nonusers' resistance to the adoption of the metaverse, focusing on propagation mechanisms. It elucidates the role of innovation resistance within the metaverse adoption process. We applied the Innovation Resistance Model in the context of the metaverse and considers three major groups of factors influencing resistance to the metaverse: innovation characteristics (perceived usefulness, compatibility, perceived risk, and complexity), consumer characteristics (personal innovativeness), and propagation mechanisms (mass media, online media, and personal communication). An online survey of college students who do not use the metaverse revealed that perceived usefulness, compatibility, personal innovativeness, and online media were negative predictors of resistance to the metaverse. Conversely, perceived risk, mass media, and personal communication were positive predictors of resistance to the metaverse. Furthermore, innovation resistance was found to play a mediating role in the metaverse adoption process. Drawing upon the findings, we suggested marketing strategies to decrease resistance to the metaverse.

The wave propagation characteristics of laminated composites subjected to a transverse high-velocity impact of a steel ball is investigated. For this purpose, high-velocity impact experiments were conducted to obtain the strain response histories, and a finite element analysis based on the higher-order shear deformation theory in conjunction with the static contact law is used. Test materials for investigation are glass/epoxy laminated composite materials with $[0^{\circ}/45^{\circ}/0^{\circ}/-45^{\circ}]_{2s}$ and $[90^{\circ}/-45^{\circ}/90^{\circ}-45^{\circ}/90^{\circ}]_{2s}$ stacking sequences. As a result, the strain responses obtained from the experiments represented the wave propagation characteristics in the transversely impact, also the wave propagation velocities obtained from high-velocity impact experiments and wave propagation theory agree well.

Flame propagation speed characteristics of methante-air mixtures were experimentally investigated in combustion chamber modelled engine. Flame propagation process was known as a funtion of equivalence ratio initial pressure and initial temperature. Ion probe and schlieren photograph were applied to measure the local flame speed and flame radius in quiescent mixtures. Pressure was also measured to make sure of the reproducibility and to apply combustion analysis. Burning velocity was calculated from the flame propagation speed and combustion analysis. Flames were developed faster with higher initial pressure and initial temperature but showed maximum propagation speed at equivalence ratio 1.1 regardless of initial pressure and temperature. Local flame speed was maximum values at near midpoint between center and wall.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate fatigue crack behavior under shear(Mode II) loading. Various specimens and devices have been used in order to produce Mode II loading in fatigue experiments for shear crack propagation. But, there is not sufficient comparisons of experimental results between Mode II and others loading modes, because of characteristics of applied loads and specimens. So, compact tension shear(CTS) specimens were used in this paper to investigate the propagation behavior of Mode II by comparing the experimental results between loading modes. We firstly observed the characteristics which was showed in Mode II experiment using CTS specimens. The experimental results under Mode II loading were compared with fatigue crack behavior under Mode I and Mixed-mode I+II loading. The characteristics for initiation and propagation behavior under Mode II loading was investigated by such comparisons.
The corrosion fatigue crack propagation characteristics of SS41 steel in 3.5% NaCl solution have been evaluated for loading frequencies of 1Hz and 0.2Hz. A sine wave loading profile was used for fatigue testing. Each test was carried out at a constant stress ratio, R(0.1). The main results are summarized as follows; 1. Fatigue crack propagation rate was higher in 3.5% NaCl solution than in air, higher in the base metal than in the weld metal, and higher at f =0.2Hz than at f =1Hz. 2. The crack closure level of the base metal was not influenced by cyclic frequencies, but that of the weld metal was much influenced. 3. When the crack closure effect was eliminated in the evaluation of crack propagation characteristics by using $\Delta K_{eff}$, the envirommental influence was distinctly observed. At the base metal, crack propagation rate was enhanced by the hydrogen embrittlement, and the weld metal was reduced by the crac closure. 4. There was clearly observed hydrogen embrittlement and severely corroded aspect at fracture surface of lower frequency than that of higher frequency, and at that of base metal than that of the weld metal.

The thermo-mechanical fatigue tests were performed on the specimens extracted from 1.5Cr-0. 67Mo-0.33V alloy. The characteristics of thermo-mechanical fatigue crack propagation were examined and reviewed in view of fracture mechanics. The results obtained from the present study are summarized as follows : (1) The propagation characteristics of isothermal low-cycle fatigue crack are dominated by .DELTA.J$_{f}$ in case of PP waveform, and .DELTA.J$_{c}$ in case of CP waveform. (II)The propagation characteristics of thermo-mechanical fatigue crack are dominated by .DELTA.J$_{c}$ for in-phase case, and by .DELTA.J$_{c}$ for out-of-phase. The present results were in good agreement with the equation of propagation law for isothermal low-cycle fatigue crack in case of thermo-mechanical fatigue.tigue.e.

Korea Institute of Geology Mining and Materials(KIGAM) cooperating with Southern Methodist University(SMU) has been operating seismo-acoustic array in Chul-Won area to discriminate man-made explosions from natural earthquakes since at the end of July 1999. In order to characterize propagation parameters of detected seismo-acoustic signal and to associate these signals as a blast event accompanying seismic and acoustic signals simultaneously it is necessary to understand infrasound wave propagation in the atmosphere. Two comparable Effective Sound Velocity Structures(ESVS) in atmosphere were constructed by using empirical model (MSISE90 and HWM93) and by aerological observation data of Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) at O-San area. Infrasound propagation path computed by empirical model resulted in rare arival of refracted waves on ground less than 200km from source region. On the other hand Propagation paths by KMA more realistic data had various arrivals at near source region and well agreement with analyzed seismo-acoustic signals from Chul-Won data. And infrasound propagation in specific direction was very influenced by horizontal wind component in that direction. Linear travel time curve drawn up by 9 days data of the KMA in autumn season showed 335.6m/s apparent sound velocity in near source region. The propagation characteristics will be used to associate seismo-acoustic signals and to calculate propagation parameters of infrasound wave front.
At present, the research on wave propagation in graphene platelet reinforced composite plates focuses on the propagation behavior of bulk waves, in which the effect of boundary condition is ignored, there is no literature report on propagation behaviors of guided waves in graphene platelet reinforced metal foams (GPLRMF) plates. In fact, wave propagation is affected by boundary conditions, so it is necessary to study the propagation characteristics of guided waves. The aim of this paper is to solve this problem. The effective performance of the material was calculated using the mixing law. Equations of motion of GPLRMF plate is derived by using Hamilton's principle. Then, the eigenvalue method is used to obtain the expressions of bending wave, shear wave and longitudinal wave, and the degradation verification is carried out. Finally, the effects of graphene platelets (GPLs) volume fraction, elastic foundation, porosity coefficient, GPLs distribution types and porosity distribution types on the dispersion relations are studied. We find that these factors play an important role in the propagation characteristics and phase velocity of guided waves.
