  • According to the increasing demand of application software that must be applied to the distributed computing environment, the various tools are proposed to write distributed softwares. But, if using these tools, programmers have to know the usage of each tool requisite for writing distributed softwares. If programmers can write distributed software without additional knowledge, they can get better concentration of the functions of software itself to develop, because it reduces burden for distributed programming. In this paper. we introduce new distributed programming tool, named TORB(Transparent Object Request Broker). With TORB, thanks to programming transparency that is supported by TORB, we can write the distributed software with java more easily. After postprocessing, this software can run in the distributed processing environment that is supported by TORB.

  • Blockchain is an enabling technology for managing data with high trust and transparency among connected computers. Blockchain emerged with the advent of the Bitcoin cryptocurrency, and then, evolved as general-purpose platforms such as Ethereum, EOS, R3 Corda, and IBM Hyperledger Fabric. The application of blockchain covers a broad range of areas such as fintech, decentralized identity, distribution, real estate trading, games, and drone air traffic management. Smart contracts are indispensable for constructing blockchain services. This survey classifies smart contract languages by their features and shows their differences from existing general-purpose programming languages.

  • In this paper, we proposed an architecture for supporting sensor transparency in sensor node operating systems, design the standard APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) and sensor device abstraction to provide the sensor transparency and implemented the sensor transparency in the TinyOS, the most well known sensor node operating system. With the proposed sensor node operating system which can support the sensor transparency, application developers can develop the target applications independent to each sensor device by using the standard APIs provided by the sensor node operating system and the sensor device manufacturers also can develop sensor device drivers by using the standard hardware interfaces and HAL (Hardware Adaptation Layer) interfaces independent to the specific hardware platform of sensor nodes.

  • In this paper, we discuss a distributed shared memory management scheme based on multi-threaded programming model for a large-scale loosely coupled multiprocessor system. The scheme covers three major issues in the distribued shared memory;the address translation table management, the block coherence maintenance, and the block placement policy. The scheme efficiently resolves the general problems occurred in the distributed shared memory such as a false sharing, an unnecessary replication, a block bouncing, and an address aliasing phenomenon. It also provides the application transparency, good scalability, easy implementation, and multithreaded programming model to users.

  • Since java thread is an object which is treated as independent process within one execution space in the multiprocessing environment, we can use it for independent process of parallel processing. Using thread and synchronization mechanism of java enables us to write parallel application program easily. Therefore, a lot of results are exist which is apply the feature of java that support parallel processing to the distributed computing environment. In this paper, we introduce a system of environment that support parallel execution of thread which is included in legacy java program. The system named TORB(Transparent Object Request Broker) enables us parallel execution of legacy java program after simple converting process, since it support the feature of programming transparency. TORB is extended version of distributed programming tool that is published by our research team. And it had only typical distributed processing feature that is execute a specified function at the specified computer.

  • The development of overseas resource is a driving force to secure the energy security in Korea with low sufficiency rate of energy. This paper analyzes the effect of overseas oil resource development on the economy by presenting a real business cycle model with consolidated energy price index. A linear-quadratic dynamic programming is adopted to raise computational transparency and efficiency. The analysis shows that the overseas oil resource development project during 2010 and 2012 decreases the energy price by 1.2% per annum which effect is equivalent to the positive 0.47% to the GDP. The implication calls for steady and robust support for overseas resource development projects to enhance energy resilience.

  • In this paper, we demonstrate a performance boost by parallelizing a purely functional bisimulation algorithm on a multicore processor machine. The key idea of this parallelization is exploiting the referential transparency of purely functional programs to minimize refactoring of the original implementation without any parallel constructs. Both original and parallel implementations are written in Haskell, a purely functional programming language. The change from the original program to the parallel program is minuscule, maintaining almost original structure of the program. Through benchmark, we show that the proposed parallelization doubles the performance of the bisimulation test compared to the original non-parallel implementation. We also shaw that similar performance boost is also possible for a memoized version of the bisimulation implementation.

  • The World Wide Web has become the largest virtual system that is almost universal in scope. In recent research, it has become effective to utilize idle hosts existing in the World Wide Web for running applications that require a substantial amount of computation. This novel computing paradigm has been referred to as the advent of global computing. In this paper, we implement and propose a mobile object-based global computing framework called Tiger, whose primary goal is to present novel object-oriented programming libraries that support distribution, dispatching, migration of objects and concurrency among computational activities. The programming libraries provide programmers with access, location and migration transparency for distributed and mobile objects. Tiger's second goal is to provide a system supporting requisites for a global computing environment - scalability, resource and location management. The Tiger system and the programming libraries provided allow a programmer to easily develop an objectoriented parallel and distributed application using globally extended computing resources. We also present the improvement in performance gained by conducting the experiment with highly intensive computations such as parallel fractal image processing and genetic-neuro-fuzzy algorithms.

  • We introduce about XBRL, eXtensible Business Reporting Language, which is widely accepted as the international standard language for business financial reporting. XBRL is a language for the electronic communication of business and financial data which is revolutionizing business reporting around the world. It provides major benefits in the preparation, analysis and communication of business information. It offers cost savings, greater efficiency and improved accuracy and reliability to all those involved in supplying or using financial data. XBRL is a kind of XML application based on the open Internet technologies. We propose a framework for enterprise information supply chain using XBRL Web services. A Web service is defined as a software system based on XML and designed to support interoperable machine-to-machine interaction over a network by the W3C. Web services are frequently just application programming interfaces (API) that can be accessed over a network, such as the internet and executed on a remote system hosting the requested services. An XBRL Web service-based enterprise information supply chain enables for companies to implement seamless information supply chains from businesses to financial institutions, to supervisory authorities, and to other stake holders for real time information access. And thereby it is expected to contribute to the increase in the value of companies due to the enhanced visibility and transparency of accounting and management.
