대형과제 기획시 계층분석적 의사결정기법을 적용한 전략적 에너지기술 R&D 프로그램 선정 (Selecting Strategic Energy Technology R&D Programs Applied to the AHP Approach as Planning a Big-sized Energy R&D Program)

  • The R&D budget of energy technology development has increased in the sector of korean energy technology development continuously. In addition to that, KIER, the government invested research institute and unique energy technology R&D research institute, is trying to plan for a big-sized energy R&D program for the well focused R&D and excellent research outcomes. In the phase of R&D process, the planning is one of the most important sectors because it drives the direction of R&D. In this study, we suggest the assessment criteria to select a strategic energy technology R&D programs by the analytic hierarchy process, which is one of multi-criteria decision making method (MCDM)We structure 2 tiers of hierarchy for assessing a big-sized R&D program and also establish 6 criteria in the level 1, which are energy environment, economic spin-off, technical spin-off, marketability, KIER mission, and cost. We allocate the relative weights of criteria by checking the values of consistency ratio as making pairwise comparisons. The result of this research will provide the decision makers as they select a right well focused R&D program.

Exploring the Impact of a STEM Integration Teacher Professional Development Program on Secondary Science and Mathematics Teachers' Perceptions of Engineering and Their Attitude toward Engineering Integrated Teaching

  • This study explores the impact of a STEM integration teacher professional development program focusing on teachers' perception of engineering and their attitudes toward integrating engineering into teaching. A total of sixty-eight teachers from ten schools participated in the program for five days. Data are collected from three main sources including (1) pre and post concept maps probing teachers' perceptions about the engineering discipline, (2) a pre and post survey measuring teachers' self-efficacy of teaching science/mathematics within the engineering context, and (3) engineering integrated science and (or) mathematics lesson plans and teaching reflections. This study utilizes both qualitative and quantitative research methods depending on the data we have collected. The results show that both science and math teachers thought that integrating engineering into teaching provided valuable outcomes, i.e., promoting students' learning about engineering and improving their interest in science or math through real-world problem solving exercises. Participants also felt more comfortable about integrating engineering in their teaching after the program. The results also imply that the teachers' understandings of engineering become more concrete after the program. This study also provides an overview of the challenges and advantages of teaching engineering in K-12 science and mathematics classrooms.

코칭 출산교육 프로그램이 초임부의 불안과 출산 자기효능감에 미치는 효과 (Effects of a Coaching-based Childbirth Program on Anxiety and Childbirth Self-efficacy among Primigravida Women)

  • Purpose: Childbirth self-efficacy plays an important role in women's ability to cope with labor and delivery. Coaching has been gaining popularity as a way to promote cognitive, emotional and behavioral change. This study aimed to test the effects of a Coaching-based childbirth program on anxiety and childbirth self-efficacy among primigravida women. Methods: The study design was a quasi-experimental pre-post design. A coaching-based childbirth program was developed synthesizing concepts and techniques from the literature on coaching and was verified by an expert panel. It consisted of four weekly 2-hour small group sessions. Pregnant women were recruited from H hospital in Seoul. Childbirth self-efficacy and state anxiety were measured before and after the program. Results: Although there was a no significant reduction in anxiety, there were statistically significant increase for childbirth self-efficacy in the experimental group when compared to the control group. Conclusion: The program appears to increase childbirth self-efficacy for pregnant women. Future studies may benefit from using mixed coaching modalities and consider measuring health behaviors and obstetric outcomes to gain insights on its long-term impact.

Improvement and Backsliding after Chronic-disease Self-management Education in Japan: One-year Cohort Study

  • Purpose: In people who have chronic diseases, disabilities, and rehabilitation needs, self-management education can improve health and health-related behavior, and it can reduce the utilization of healthcare services. The purpose of this research was to assess the long-term effects of chronic-disease self-management education in Japan. Methods: This study included 184 adults living with various chronic medical conditions who participated in the Chronic Disease Self-Management Program (CDSMP) in Japan. Data were collected before the program began, and then collected 3 more times over 1 year. Results: Healthcare-service utilization was low at baseline, and it did not change. Self-evaluated health status, health-related distress, coping with symptoms, communication with doctors, and self-efficacy to manage symptoms all improved after the program. However, there was backsliding in all of the outcomes that had improved. Conclusion: Some benefits of this program can last for at least 1 year, but interventions to prevent attenuation may be needed. For economic evaluations, research should focus on populations with higher baseline levels healthcare-service utilization, including use of rehabilitation services. Also, more attention should be focused on the longer-term decay or persistence of the program's benefits, particularly regarding on preventing and reducing disabilities and with regard to rehabilitation needs.

국제지질자원인재개발센터 교육훈련 프로그램의 학습 생태적 성과분석 연구 (Study on Learning Ecological Performance Analysis of IS-Geo's Educational Training Program)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 학습 생태 관점에서 교육훈련생들의 학습 성과에 영향을 미치는 요인과 그 하위 구인들을 개발하여 이들 하위 구인 간 구조적 관계에 따른 국제지질자원인재개발 센터의 교육훈련의 성과를 분석하는 것이다. 따라서 2014년 1월부터 2015년 12월까지 교육훈련 프로그램의 운영 후 실시된 수업 만족도 검사지 총 159부의 자료를 중심으로 자료 분석이 이루어졌다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 우선, 학습 생태 관점에서 교육훈련생들의 학습 성과에 영향을 미치는 요인을 내부 요인, 중간 요인, 외부 요인으로 개발하였으며, 하위 구인으로 내부 요인은 학습동기와 학습발달, 중간 요인은 교육내용과 교육과정, 외부 요인은 학습자 지원과 강사의 질로 구안하였다. 개발된 성과지표 요인과 하위 구인간의 구조적 관계를 살펴보면, 국제지질자원인재개발센터의 교육훈련 프로그램에 참여하였던 교육훈련생들의 학습 성과에 영향을 미치는 내부 요인, 중간 요인, 외부 요인의 구조적 관계는 정적상관관계의 유의한 결과 값을 나타내었다. 또한, 내부 요인, 중간 요인, 외부 요인은 교육훈련생들의 학습 성과에 직접 효과를 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

한국연구재단과 한국환경산업기술원 간 Eco-Bridge 구축방안에 관한 연구 - 우수 연구성과 연계 활용으로 부처간 벽 허물기 - (The Cornerstone Project: Establishing the Interministerial Collaborative R&D Support Framework between NRF and KEITI, Korea)

  • 국가연구개발 투자가 선진국 수준으로 증가함에 따라 투자 대비 성과 제고를 위해, 부처별 역할과 기능에 따라 상이한 소속부처(연구개발지원기관)간 협업의 필요성이 점차 부각되고 있다. 올해 출범한 신정부에서도 부처간 칸막이를 제거하고, 협업을 통한 국가연구개발사업 투자의 효율성 극대화를 정책목표로 제시하였다. 본 연구에서는 한국연구재단과 한국환경산업기술원 간 우수한 연구성과의 선순환적 활용을 위한 협력사업 추진과 Eco-Bridge 구축 방안을 제시하였다. 양 기관은 2012년 환경융합분야 관련 연구개발사업의 성과제고를 골자로 하는 양해각서(MOU)를 체결하였다. 이후 미래창조과학부와 환경부 간 기초연구성과의 실용화를 위해 한국연구재단 지원으로 기 수행된 기초연구과제를 대상으로 한국환경산업기술원에서 응용연구과제를 공모하는 방식의 협력체제를 국내 최초로 구축하고 환경부 공모 '2013년 환경융합신기술개발사업'으로 향후 3년 동안 약 20억원을 지원하게 된다. 또한 부처간 상설 협의기구인 '환경융합 Bridge 협의회' 설립 및 기초 R&D분야 연구자와 산업체 수요자를 상호 연계하는 Matching Program을 추진할 계획이다. 이와 같은 양 기관 협력체제는 기초 R&D가 시장 예측 및 수요를 기반으로 하는 R&BD의 형태로 발전하는 새로운 모델을 제시하고 나아가 부처별 연구지원 특성을 반영한 범부처 협력체계의 구축으로 국가연구개발사업의 효율성을 제고할 것으로 기대된다.

노인의 관절 건강증진 프로그램 효과 (The Evaluation of a Program to Promote Healthy feints in Older Adults Residing in the Community)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted from March to August, 2003 to evaluate the process and outcomes of a program to promote healthy joints in older adults residing in the community. Method: A quasi experimental research design (one group pretest posttest design) was used in this study. The participants were 26 older adults (but 74 older adults also participated in a program immediately after the study program). Program had 4 sessions (8 hours) once a week. Data were collected before the program, immediately after and 4 weeks after the program was completed and were analyzed with paired t-test. Results: The level of a satisfaction, interest and understanding of the program were high. Significant differences were found in the health state, the flexibility of neck and shoulder joints and joint exercise habits between the scores before the program started and 4 weeks after it finished. Conclusion: This results suggest that the joint health promotion program for older adults in the community developed this study is effective. So this program can be recommended as an effective nursing intervention for joint health promotion in older adults living in the community.

액션러닝기반 간호과정 학습프로그램이 문제해결능력 및 자기주도적 학습능력에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of Action Learning Approaches on Problem-solving Skills and Self Directed Learning Skills of Nursing Undergraduate Students)

  • 본 연구는 액션러닝을 적용한 간호과정 학습프로그램이 간호학과 학생들의 문제해결능력과 자기주도적 학습능력에 미치는 효과를 규명하기 위한 비동등성 대조군 전후설계 실험연구이다. 연구대상은 G시와 J도에 소재한 4년제 간호학과 2학년 중 실험군 53명, 대조군 52명으로 총 105명이었다. 주 2회, 4주간 프로그램을 실시하였으며 실시 전과 후에 문제해결능력과 자기주도적 학습능력를 측정하였다. 측정된 결과는 ${\chi}^2$-test와 Chi-Square test, t-test, paired t-test로 분석하였다. 연구결과 액션러닝 학습프로그램은 문제명료화, 원인분석, 대안개발, 계획/실행, 수행평가로 구성된 학습자의 문제해결능력을 증진시켰고 학습계획, 학습실행, 학습평가로 구성된 자기주도적 학습능력을 증진시켰다. 그러므로 본 연구는 학습방법으로의 액션러닝이 간호학과 학생들의 간호과정 수업을 하는데 효과적임을 파악한 점에서 연구의 의의를 지니며, 향후 간호관련 전공학문 분야의 효과적인 교수법으로 확대적용 할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

고혈압 대상자의 지역사회 중심 사례관리 프로그램 효과 (Effects of Community-based Case Management Program for Clients with Hypertension)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze effects of a community-based case management program for clients with hypertension living in the community. Methods: The research design was a one group pre and post-test design with 30 participants with hypertension who agreed to participate in the 8-12 week case management program provided by case managers from the National Health Insurance Corporation in 2002. Data were collected three times, before and after the case management services, and 6 months later. Outcomes included changes in blood pressure, knowledge of hypertension and daily life practices, including alcohol consumption, smoking, exercise, and medication adherence. Results: Repeated-measures ANOVA and post-hoc tests of means revealed significant differences before and after service for systolic blood pressure, daily life practices (monitoring body weight and BP, low salt and cholesterol and high vegetable diet, and stress-relief practices), and exercise. The goal for medication adherence was attained after service. Significant improvements from baseline to 6 months after service were observed in measures of salt and vegetables in diet. There were no significant differences on hypertension knowledge, alcohol consumption or smoking behavior between before service and after, and at 6 months. Conclusion: The findings provide preliminary evidence that case management intervention can have positive outcomes on BP control, daily life practices, exercise, and medication adherence for clients with hypertension. However, additional interventions are needed to sustain long-term effects.
