The purpose of this study is to introduce alternative cost-effectiveness analysis method of DSM investment programs. This alternative method is Value Test method which consider the effects of DSM investment program on customer value. And this method was applied for actual DSM investment program in natural gas domain. By utilize this method to evaluate cost-effectiveness of DSM investment programs, it is expected to make right decision to enforce and complement those programs.

The construction industry suffers from declining productivity and lack of trust between stakeholders and among the public. Increasing technical, regulatory, environmental and ethical challenges face the sector and necessitate a new type of leader. Authentic leadership is a relatively new construct that focuses on a leader demonstrating self-awareness, relational transparency, an internalized ethical and moral perspective and balanced processing. This study uses the Authentic Leadership Questionnaire to measure construction superintendent's levels of authentic leadership and compares them to effectiveness ratings. There is a correlation between higher authentic leadership scores and effectiveness and this study concludes that authentic leaders are more effective superintendents.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of using the relapse prevention program for adult substance addicts. Based on the results from the study of educational needs for the relapse prevention program among substance addicts the 10-session-relapse prevention program was developed. Then the researcher conducted the relapse prevention program for 15 adult methamphetamine addicts from Aug. 3 1999 to Sep. 4 1999 at the probation office in Suwon, South Korea. For examining the effectiveness of using that relapse prevention program the Social Adjustment Scale-Self Report(SAS-SR), McMullin Addiction Thought Scale(MAT), and Self Esteem Rating Scale(SERS) were used whether or not their social adjustment level, self-esteem level, and addiction thought level were improved. This study employed one group pre-post test research design as a quantitative purpose and in-depth interview as a qualitative purpose. For a qualitative purpose in-depth interview was conducted in not only between sessions but also after sessions dealing with their current life problems. For a quantitative purpose the analysis strategy employed here was frequency and t-test. Results shows that addicts who took the relapse prevention program consistently reported the improvement of their social adjustment level, self-esteem level, and addiction thought level although there were no statistically significant between pre and post tests. The implication of study findings will be discussed.

This is a single-group pre-post study conducted to determine the effect of a calligraphy program on nursing students' career decision-making self-efficacy and self- leadership. The data collected from 231 second-year nursing students were analyzed using SPSS WIN 25.0 to determine descriptive statistics, paired t-test to analyze the effect of calligraphy, and Pearson correlation coefficient to determine the relationship between career decision self-efficacy and self-leadership. After the program, both career decision self-efficacy (t=7.23, p<.001) and self-leadership (t=6.81, p<.001) improved. The analysis of career decision self-efficacy and self-leadership after the program showed a strong correlation (r=.849, p<.001). The results of this study are significant in that they validate the effectiveness of a calligraphy program in promoting self-leadership and career decision-making self-efficacy among nursing students who do not have clear career goals. Students' overall satisfaction with the calligraphy program was 4/5 points, and they most highly evaluated the smooth interaction between fellow students through the program. At a time when the importance of cultural arts education is gradually increasing in social and educational fields around the world, calligraphy has the advantage of laying the foundation for the promotion of basic arts for the revitalization of cultural arts, so educational support is needed not only in terms of improving the quality of life and pursuing self-actualization of individuals with emotional expression and creative problem-solving skills, but also at the social level.

The primary purpose of this study was to report overall findings of academic English proficiency of university ESL students in an ESL program from 2003 to 2008 at a university in the U.S. Furthermore, this study proposes to explore the effectiveness of the ESL program on developing the ESL learners' academic English proficiency. In order to achieve these purposes, this study applied a quantitative research methodology which analyzed data (more than 3,000 samples) collected by the university ESL program. The data included the ESL learners' English proficiency test scores. The results indicated that the effectiveness of the ESL program was significant in improving the ESL learners' cognitive/academic language proficiency across all three groups: ESL-only, ESL + Under, and ESL + Grad. That is, after either a complete ESL program intervention only or both a partial ESL program intervention and taking academic courses, the three groups' academic English proficiency was increased to almost same degree The findings are discussed and implications for pedagogy are suggested.

This study examined children's death anxiety by religion, previous death experience and the effectiveness of a death education program. Half of the subjects 60 nine-year-old elementary school subjects were assigned to the experimental group and half were assigned to the control group. The 6-week death education program for the experimental group included literature, role play, and discussion. A questionnaire and death anxiety scale for children were administered to all subjects. After the educational program, there was a significant difference in death anxiety scores, between the experimental and control groups. However, children's religion and previous experience with death had no significant relationship to their death anxiety or effectiveness of the death education program.

This study is an evaluation research which examines the effectiveness of the Marriage Enrichment Program for Middle-Aged Couples(MEPM), This program focuses on the marital dyadic relationship as a family life education The MEPM was developed to strengthen the marital relationships and to improve the potential for individuals and couples. For the effectiveness of the study the author conducted previous survey research with a literature review. The Marriage Enrichment Program was delivered to eight middle-aged couples at Hotel Hilton in Kyung Joo on June 5-6 1995. Through statistical analysis the effectiveness of the MEPM was significant in the areas of couple communication problem solving ability sexual relationship accptance for the value differences and mutual respect. The study also found that changes in thinking is much slower than learning for the new skills and knowledge.

The current research aims to identify the effectiveness of a training program based on digital stories to develop writing skills for students with learning difficulties. The research sample consisted of (12) students with learning difficulties in the fifth and sixth grades, who were chosen intentionally. The results showed the effectiveness of the program and the maintenance of this improvement over time as results showed that there were statistically significant differences at the level (α = 0.05) between the two measurements, before and after, in favor of the post-measurement. The results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences at the level (α = 0.05) between the post and follow-up measurements on the writing skills scale. This indicates the long-term impact of the program. The researchers recommend the need to expand educational programs' adoption of digital stories to develop the skills of students with learning difficulties.

This study describes the development of nursing education program on web-based instruction for Nursing Management Practice of nursing school. The program has been developed based on five steps of the teaching-learning design model developed by Chung, In-Sung which is widely used in Web-Based Instruction(WBI). The objective of this study was to develop nursing education program on WEI and to evaluate its effectiveness. The subjects consisted of twenty-four senior nursing students taking the Nursing Management Practice course. Two sets of questionnaires were used for this study. They were asked to evaluate the program in terms of appropriateness of the teaching strategy, precision of the contents, easiness of use, easiness of approaching system, interface design, system management, enhancement of communication, and effectiveness of learning. The program was developed in five steps, analysis of the student, design of the contents, production of the system, implementation of the system, and evaluation of the effectiveness. It is concluded that this program was very useful in increasing the effectiveness of learning and motivation in the students. In addition to this, the web-based learning system would be one of the best qualified educational method for nursing students. Therefore, I would suggest that it can be used for other nursing courses which is available on the Web.

The purpose of this study was to develop an educational program that enhances a single mother's social adaptation (self-esteem and sociality) based on the precedent studies. The subjects of this program were seven single motherswholive in C city in Chung Cheong Namdo. Paired-Sample t-test, individual change and group processing description data, and behavior observation record data were analyzed. Research results are as follows based on the research questions. First, a group of 8 single mothers who participated in the program showed an improvement of their social adaptation. Therefore, the effectiveness of the educational program was verified. Second, as the group session went on, the cohesion among the group members was solidified and their will to participate in the program was increased. Third, generally, individuals' understanding, acceptance, and adaptation toward themselves and others were enhanced. On the whole, the educational program for improving single mother's social adaptation was verified. We need to develop and implement more programs that enhance single mother's social adaptation in the future.
