An education program was developed and evaluated to improve college students 'understanding on gender differences in dating relationships. This program was designed based on literature review and a survey of students' preference on subjects concerned with dating and premarital education. The program consisted of three sessions which were ‘Are men & women different\ulcorner’, ‘How are they different\ulcorner’, and ‘How can we cope with the differences\ulcorner’. Questionnaires and pre/post interviews were adopted for evaluation of the program. Participants reported that they were satisfied with the structure of the program as well as the teaching methods and materials. The program was effective in recognizing the existence of gender differences, understanding gender differences, and improving skills to maintain intimacy in dating relationships.

Koreatech has adopted a long-term co-op program called IPP (Industry Professional Practice) to address problems in higher education of Korea since 2012, but it was anticipated to face many difficulties in implementing the program due to lack of relevant experiences in Korea. In this regard, a performance evaluation scheme was urgently required to judge the effectiveness of the Co-op program and improve the operational efficiency at the same time. This study aimed to develop comprehensive performance evaluation criteria for the co-op programs on the basis of Kirkpatrick's four-level performance evaluation model for training programs, and apply it to a real Co-op operation to test its feasibility. For this purpose, thorough review on the training program evaluation literature and in-depth analyses of overseas cases of co-op performance evaluation were conducted. Then, a set of Co-op performance evaluation criteria was developed and applied to the Koreatech's Co-op operation in 2013. Two Co-op student questionnaire surveys were administered before and after Co-op terms to measure students' reactions to the Co-op program (Level 1) and changes in participating students' attitudes and competencies (Level 2). In addition, employment rates of Co-op participating and non-participating students were compared (Level 4). The analysis findings showed that participating students were quite satisfied with their jobs and companies, and the Co-op program was effective to a certain degree at enhancing non-major competencies and attitudes to occupation of students. Together, the employment rate of Co-op participants, particularly in small- and medium-sized companies, grew significantly in comparison with that of non-participants. In the last part, several directions for improving the effectiveness of the Co-op programs were discussed.

The objective of this study is to develop Home Indoor Air Quality evaluation prorgram considering planning and construction stage for architects, engineers and occupants to estimate and improve the IAQ of a home. In this study, the IAQ modeling technique was discussed to determine the appropriate modeling of housing unit in Korea. The program algorithm was developed based on the selected model reflecting planning and construction stage. This program can be applied to estimate the IAQ of a home and encourage appropriate action in advance.

This study aimed at developing parent education program for family leisure for parents of adolescent children to enable them to pursue happy lives as healthy families with adequate balance of cohesiveness and adaptability and smooth communication between the members of their families after parent education for family leisure. Research procedure of parent education program for family leisure proceeded with establishment of theory and requirement survey through precedent research, design of program, practice of program, evaluation of program and suggestion of revised program model after evaluation. On the basis of evaluation results, parent education program for family leisure aiming at parents of adolescent children can conclusively be revised as follows. The first session aims at understanding of family leisure; the second session aims at improvement of learning effect through education & experience-oriented activities; the third session aims at understanding and paying regard to their children through hobby-oriented activities; the fourth session aims at improvement of social relations through society-oriented activities; the fifth session aims at helping children education through check of communication in family-oriented activities and home-visiting education for etiquette; and the sixth session, the final session, aims at providing information and knowledge on family leisure and letting them gain better understanding of adolescent children.

본 연구는 HCI 이론을 적용하여 게임형 학습 프로그램을 평가하기 위한 준거를 개발한다. 사람들이 편리하고 즐겁게 사용하도록 하는 시스템을 개발하는 원리나 방법을 연구하는 학문인 HCI 이론은 다양한 영역의 프로그램 개발에 광범위하게 적용되어 왔다. 그리고 학습 프로그램을 평가하는 데도 널리 활용되어 왔다. 그러나 HCI 이론을 적용한 게임형 코스웨어 평가에 대한 연구는 거의 없다. 따라서, 게임형 코스웨어 평가 연구에서도 HCI 이론 적용이 필요하다. 본 연구는 HCI의 구성요소인 유용성(Usefulness), 사용성(Usability), 감성(Affect)의 관점에서 평가 준거를 개발한다. 본 연구에서 개발한 평가 준거는 게임형 학습 프로그램을 평가하는 기준으로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

This study is conducted to improve the fitness of Air Force winter service uniforms pants through the development of a pants pattern drafting method and automatic pattern drafting program for mass customization. The initial study pattern drafting method is formed through an analyses of 4 kinds of conventional pants pattern drafting methods for education and 3 kinds of conventional pants patterns of Air Force apparels. The initial study pattern drafting method is converted into the final study pattern drafting method after twice conducting a wearing test. To verify the final study pants pattern, a motion adaptability evaluation, an ease amount evaluation and an appearance evaluation are conducted. The results of the final study patterns were better than conventional winter service uniforms in the motion adaptability evaluation and the appearance evaluation. However, the results show similar values between the final study patterns and conventional winter service uniform patterns in the ease amount evaluation. An automatic pattern drafting program was developed based on the final study pattern drafting method. The program allowed the achievement of customized pants patterns through the placement of customer body sizes into the size input window. It also provided two kinds of ease amount and two kinds of waist belt level options.

FPSO is widely used to develop deep sea oil fields and HHI has constructed ten(10) FPSOs. During these constructions, relevant structural design criteria such as yielding, buckling, fatigue, collision and impact strength were applied to verify structural safety. To apply the buckling strength evaluation for structures, the critical buckling stresses and applied stresses of relevant panels should be calculated. The plate and stiffened panels are to be idealized, which are needed much time and efforts by designers. Therefore, program development is necessary in order to evaluate the buckling strength conveniently and accurately. In this study, the buckling strength assessment system by using offshore code, DNV-RP-C201 was developed under MSC/PATRAN, pre-post program of finite element method. Graphic user interface program is written in MSC/PATRAN PCL functions. Source program to evaluate the buckling strength is developed in FORTRAN programming languages. The developed program is verified by comparing with the results of the Nauticus Hull developed by DNV Classification Society, and applied to the marine construction project conducted by Hyundai Heavy Industries LTD.

Increasing interest in computer-mediated learning technologies has prompted educators to incorporate them into many learning environments ; however, there is still little evaluative evidence to support their effectiveness. This report describes the development and evaluation of a web-based instructional program on basic nursing science for nursing students. Researcher-designed questionnaires were used to assess the characteristics of our students, and to solicit their ratings of the instructional program on ease of use, accuracy of content, clarity of content, interest, and convenience of the program, using 5-point Likert scales. The respondents indicated that the package was easy and convenient to use, with high technical quality, and of a level challenging to some but not all of the students. On-line quizzes were most highly rated. Also it was confirmed that frequent users of electronic bulletin board showed much higher achievement score than that of nonfrequent users. It was also found that the effect of cyber education was dependent on the active participation of the students. These data suggest that the use of web-based instructional program as a distance education strategy can be an effective method for nursing students and nurses.

This study aims to identify children's after-school facilities in Cheonan, to evaluate their programs, and to further suggest desirable directions of those programs. During this study, we found that the facilities in Cheonan are much less in numbers and no better than we expected. Especially, it is shown that most of the study rooms there are evaluated as relatively the worst facilities in terms of space organization, health care and safety, daily schedule and management, and program evaluation process. In conclusion, this study proposes that such facilities should be greatly expanded and improved in the program development as well as in the working environment. We also propose to newly establish a regional center which supports and certifies educational programs of each after-school facility.

This study purports to develop a quality assessment tool for the process of health promotion programs at public health centers(PHC). The draft of the assessment tool developed by the literature was distributed to 242 staffs who were in charge of the health promotion programs at PHCs for evaluating the feasibility of the tool on September and October 2002. The major results of the study were as follows; The quality assessment tool developed in the study consisted of four domains: strategic planning, program management, monitoring and evaluation, and resources and information. The strategic planning dealt with the function of the planning staff and committees, community data analysis, the feasibility of the program, and the approach methods for attaining the goal of the program. The program management included the items on the qualification and power of the program staff. The monitoring and evaluation included the items on the reporting and communication among program units, and feed back after monitoring. Finally, the resources and information dealt with community networking, clients' response, and consulting activity of the staff. The validity of the tools was tested and partly supported by both formative and criterion-related methods. The assessment tools developed in this study could be used by health promotion workers in the self-evaluation of the program quality. In conclusion, the quality assessment tool developed in the study will be a good safeguard for assuring the quality of the process of health promotion programs.
