지식기반조직의 지식근로자 성과평가에 관한 연구 (Performance Evaluation of Knowledge Workers in Knowledge-based Organization)

  • This paper suggests a balanced scorecard (BSC) framework for measuring and evaluating the performance of knowledge workers in professional service firms(PSFs) which are typical knowldege-based organizations. As a strategic learning system, the balanced scorecard allows business leaders to drive and modify their business strategies based on the balanced measurement of key performance indicators(KPIs), which are basically divided into four domains such as financial achievement, customer orientation, internal business process, and innovation and learning. Conducting a focused case study on performance evaluation of knowledge workers from a balanced viewpoint, we could evaluate their competency and potential in more comprehensive manner. We also employ the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) approach for derive relative weights of key performance indicators and link it to a spreadsheet model for rating the individual performance of knowledge workers in a systematic way.

다종 S/W 적용에 의한 선형계획법 연구 (An Applied Technique of Linear Programming Using Multi-Softwares)

  • Linear programming has become an important tool in decision-making of modern business management. This remarkable growth can be traced to the pioneering efforts of many individuals and research organizations. The popular using of personal computers make it very easy to process those complicated linear programming models. Furthermore advanced linear programming software packages assist us to solve L.P. models without any difficult process. Even though the advanced L.P. professional packages, the needs of more detailed deterministic elements for business decisions have forced us to apply dynamic approaches for more resonable solutions. For the purpose of these problems applying to the "Mathematica" packages which is composed of mathematic tools, the simplex processes show us the flexible and dynamic decision elements included to any other professional linear programming tools. Especially we need proper dynamic variables to analyze the shadow prices step by step. And applying SAS(Statistical Analysis System) packages to the L.P. problems, it is also one of the best way to get good solution. On the way trying to the other L.P. packages which are prepared for Spreadsheets i.e., MS-Excel, Lotus-123, Quatro etc. can be applied to linear programming models. But they are not so much useful for the problems. Calculating simplex tableau is an important method to interpret L.P. format for the optimal solution. In this paper we find out that the more detailed and efficient techniques to interpret useful software of mathematica and SAS for business decision making of linear programming. So it needs to apply more dynamic technique of using of Mathematica and SAS multiple software to get more efficient deterministic factors for the sophiscated L.P. solutions.

전문 및 전담 간호사의 신체검진 수행정도 및 심화교육 요구 (Use of Physical Assessment Skills and Education Needs of Advanced Practice Nurses and Nurse Specialists)

  • Purpose: The study was done to investigate physical assessment skills used by, and educational needs of, advanced practice nurses (APNs) and nurse specialists in Korea. Methods: A total of 123 APNs and nurse specialists working in five major hospitals in Seoul were surveyed from July 15 to August 20, 2007. Results: Fourteen skills out of 126 items were reported as being performed on a regular basis by participants. The majority of these skills involved general observation. Forty-six skills were rarely used. Some participants showed a lack of confidence in certain assessment skills, such as in doing a rectal or pelvic exam, and the use of some assessment equipment. Over 90% of participants required in-depth education on health assessment provided by specialists or nursing professional organizations. Conclusion: More educational opportunities in physical assessment should be provided including education programs based on the nurses' skill levels and needs. This effort will help to increase confidence of APNs and nurse specialists in physical assessment skills, ultimately resulting in better nursing outcomes.

이중의제접근을 통한 가족친화경영 (A Theoretical Study on Family-Friendly Management - Dual Agenda Approach -)

  • The purpose of this study is to review previous domestic and foreign studies and to investigate personal work-life harmonization through theoretical research on familyfriendly management using a dual agenda approach. The authors briefly identified trends and critically reviewed domestic researches on family-friendly management and foreign studies of scholars that overcame the limitations of domestic studies to present a foundation for work-life harmonization through a dual agenda approach. As a result, the existing family-friendly management was found to be compatible with work and family but was not effective in developing personal careers. The workers who actively accepted family-friendly management as part of their work-life balance were mostly female laborers who were employed part-time, had lower academic education, earned lower wages and, in general, were non-professional workers without specific skills or career aspirations. The remainder of the workers, full-time male employees, with higher education and with professional knowledge and skills, inevitably worked longer, more labor-intensive hours, due to the advent of the dual agenda approach. A new work-life harmonization program is urgently needed not only for family-friendliness but also for healthy organizations, individual career development and personal wellbeing.

The Globalization Strategy and Performance of an Italian Franchise Optics Corporation: A Study of Luxottica

  • Purpose - This study examined the Italian eyeglass industry and the status of the franchise market. Luxottica's global growth strategy was analyzed to provide insight into the strategy and development of the Italian eyeglass industry and its franchise business. Research design, data, methodology - Luxottica's annual report, public media material, and website were examined, in addition to data from professional institutions. For the domestic eyeglass industry and franchise business, data from professional organizations, franchise information disclosure documents of the Fair Trading Commission, media materials, and related papers were investigated. Results - The success factor turned out to be securing a global wholesaler with retailers in overseas markets. This successful strategy was based on the strong entrepreneurial spirit of the founder, innovative craftsmanship, and an excellent corporate culture including corporate social responsibility (CSR). Conclusions - Considering the current environment, for Luxottica to be a leading global company, it had to review and adopt a successful vertical integration strategy, from R&D to distribution, M&A of overseas wholesalers and retailers, creative design and technical development, and sustainable cultural development

문헌고찰을 통한 보건교육사의 직무 및 활동영역 분석 (An Analysis of Duty and Workplace of the Health Education Specialist through the Review of Literature)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study is to expand of workplace by analyzing the duty and workplace of health education specialist and by presenting professional duty for health education specialist. Methods: 22 papers related to health education experts were finally selected from 1993 to 2017(25 years). The selected literature analyzed the title, researchers, the publishing agency, the publication year, the main contents, and duty and workplace of the health education specialist. Results: The studies on health education specialists comprised 5 cases (22.7%) between 1993 and 1999, 3 cases (13.6%) between 2000 and 2009, 14 cases (63.6%) between 2010 and 2017. Health education specialists core duty were diagnosing health education needs, planning health education programs, developing health education methods and materials, performing and managing health education programs, evaluating and conducting research on health education programs, and health communication. The workplace were 11 for medical institutions (55.0%), 9 for healthcare organizations (45.0%) and 8 for schools (40.0%). Conclusions: In addition to the basic core duty, professional and differentiated duty capabilities such as managing the target, generating health information, encouraging involvement of the target, and mobile health care should be developed.

Career Management and Employees Retention in Professional Service Organizations: An Empirical Study from Indonesia

  • The purpose of this study is to see how career management affects employee retention in professional service businesses (PSOs). The role of knowledge and skills as moderating variables in the relationship between career management and intention to stay is also investigated. A review of the literature on career management, which includes promotion, training, mentorship, starting salary, and the laxity-stringency of organizational entry-exit rules, leads to the hypothesis that career management positively affects employees' intentions to stay. Such a positive impact may differ between knowledgeable and skilled employees and their less knowledgeable and skilled counterparts. Cross-sectional data is obtained from 200 professionals working for various PSOs. Stepwise regression is employed to analyze the data. The research found that career management positively affects the intention to stay. The impact of promotion, training and mentorship on the intention to stay is moderated by knowledge and skills. Conversely, knowledge and skills do not moderate the effect of starting salary and the laxity-stringency of organizational entry-exit on intention to stay. The study's findings imply that by implementing effective career management, talented professionals can be retained. However, the level of knowledge and skills should be carefully considered. These findings offer significant insights into human capital management, particularly in PSOs.

Analysis of court rulings on involuntary manslaughter or at-fault injury due to professional negligence by pediatric nurses: a systematic content analysis study

  • Purpose: This study systematically analyzed cases in South Korea wherein nurses were prosecuted for involuntary manslaughter or injury due to professional negligence in pediatric care. Methods: We analyzed the precedents using the methodology of Hall and Wright (2008) and Austin (2010). Of the 618 cases retrieved from the Supreme Court Decisions Retrieval System in South Korea, we selected the 12 cases in which children were the victims and nurses were the defendants, using a case screening methodology. Results: The most frequent penalty was a fine, and newborns were the most frequent victims. The distribution of cases according to Austin's violation categories was: improper administration of medications (n=5), failure to monitor for and report deterioration (n=4), ineffective communication (n=4), failure to delegate responsibly (n=4), failure to know and follow facility policies and procedures (n=1), and improper use of equipment (n=1). Conclusion: To ensure the safety of children, nurses are required to teach and practice a high standard of care. Nursing education programs must improve nurses' awareness of their legal obligations. Nursing organizations and leaders should also work towards enacting effective nursing laws and ensuring that nurses are aware of their legal rights and responsibilities.

공모전이 기업이미지와 행동의도에 미치는 실증연구 (The Study of the Contest Exhibition on Corporate Image and Behavior Intention)

  • 본 연구는 공모전에 참여하는 소비자들과 이를 주관하는 기업과 기관들이 꾸준히 증가하고 있는 현황을 비추어 공모전의 실제적인 효과를 검증하기 위해 진행하였다. 이에 공모전 실행 전 후에 따른 기업이미지 및 행동의도에 차이가 나타나는지를 알아보고 더 나아가 공모전 실행 후의 만족도에 따라 기업이미지에 차이가 나타나는지를 검증하였다. 이를 위해 공공기관이 실시하는 공모전에 직접 참여한 전국 7개 대학의 광고홍보학과 대학생 139명을 분석하였다. 분석결과, 공모전 실행 전 후의 기업이미지(전문이미지, 신뢰이미지, 사회공헌이미지)와 행동의도에 차이가 나타났다. 또한 공모전 실행 후의 만족도(고/저)에 따른 기업이미지(전문이미지, 신뢰이미지, 사회공헌이미지)를 검증한 결과, 전문이미지와 신뢰이미지에는 유의미한 결과가 나타났으나 사회공헌이미지에서는 나타나지 않았다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 공모전의 가치와 효과를 입증하였다.

우리나라 공공기관 행정감시자의 정보추구에 관한 질적 연구 (A Qualitative Study on the Information Seeking Conducted by Surveillants Against the Public Sector Organizations in Korea)

  • 이 연구는 공공기관을 대상으로 한 행정감시자들이 국정감사와 정보공개 청구 등의 설명책임 메커니즘을 통해 공공정보를 추구하는 절차와 그 과정에 영향을 주는 요인들을 밝히는 것을 목적으로 한다. 공공기관에 대해 직업적으로 행정감시 활동을 수행하는 국회의원 보좌관, 시민사회단체 활동가, 언론 기획탐사보도팀의 전문리서처 등의 정보추구자들을 연구대상으로 하여 심층 인터뷰와 참여관찰을 통해 자료를 수집하였고, 근거이론 에 따라 자료를 분석하여 행정감시자들의 공공정보 추구절차를 정의하였으며, 추구과정에 연관된 56개의 개념, 17개의 범주, 6개의 상위범주를 도출한 후 각 범주들이 추구과정에 미치는 영향의 범위에 따라 배경요인, 상황요인, 절차 상의 요인으로 구분하였다. 이 연구는 그동안 다뤄지지 않았던 행정감시자의 정보행동모형을 구성했다는 점에서 이론적 공헌이 있으며, 행정감시자의 공공정보 추구과정에서 나타나는 독특한 양상을 질적 자료를 통해 의미있는 개념을 범주화했다는 점에서 방법론적 의의가 있으며, 행정감시자 집단에게 공공정보 추구 전략에 필요한 정보를 제공하고 공공기관에게 행정감시자들의 정보요청에 대응하기 위한 전략 요건의 기초를 제시하고 있다는 점에서 실무적 공헌이 있다.
