The study was to grasp features of new material applicable to housing space in the sustainable side by analyzing materialistic features of new material and features of sustainable material with sustainable new material. Through analysis on sustainable new material, the study deducted the below conclusion. First, through the precedent studies, the characteristics of sustainable materials have been classified into eight categories : friendly healthiness, non-toxicity, comfortableness, naturality, recycling, harmlessness of environment, separate collection, reusability. After the criteria have been brought up from new material applicable to housing space in the sustainable. Second, in materialistic Characteristics of new material, 'New Process' was mainly applied. There was no any new material applied to 'new raw material'. Therefore, it is thought that it is necessary to study on development of perfectly new material and to study on new material to apply material used in other fields to finishing material of dwelling space. Third, in Characteristics of sustainable material, 'Re-serviceability' appeared most and 'Non-toxicity' and 'Recycling' appeared in the next. 'Friendly Healthiness' and 'Separate collection' appeared only one on the other side. Therefore, it is judged that it is necessary to develop and study new material including health components considering user's health, function for health increase and function to grope comfort for humans. Finally, after researching and analysis the criteria by recently presented the new material, it has been concluded that the standard can be used as the criteria of new material for the possibility of application in housing space. On the basis of the study, the author will carry out analysis on sustainable new material minutely and utilize it as basic data to suggest a standard of sustainable new material applicable to dwelling space in the future.
Poly(ethylene 2,6-naphthalate), PEN, is a relatively well-known polymer used for engineering purposes. Naphthalene ring provides rigidity to the polymer backbone, thus, it elevated the glass transition temperature and enhanced mechanical properties. The structure and properties of PEN affect a processing conditions severely, and the high-thermal stability have been had a poor thermal processibility. Hence, the basic mechanism of solvent drawing, is very much the same as that of thermal drawing from glassy state since both involve the inducement of segmental mobility. The former achieves the goal by use of chemical energy, and the latter does so by use of thermal energy. Generally, the sorption of the solvent by the polymer has a plasticizing effect, and leads to a lowering of the glass transition temperature, $T_g$. In this paper, the dynamic viscoelasticity behavior in liquid-drawing process of an unoriented amorphous PEN films were investigated using Rheovibron. The results are as follows : (1) For the drawing in silicone oil, the drawing below $T_g$. had $\alpha{2}$-dispersion due to an inhomogeneous taut structure. (2) For the drawing in water, the inhomogeneous taut structure reduced by the effect of plasticization even below $T_g$. (3) For the drawing in butanol, the only aliphatic segment in PEN have some molecular mobility but the mobility of the aromatic segment having naphthalene ring is nearly impossible. (4) For the drawing in dioxane/water mixing solvent, the solvent effect is complementary each other and accordingly the entire molecular conformation have stable state. (5) For the drawing in dioxane/butanol mixing solvent, the inhomogeneity of the taut structure and the aromatic segment increase with increasing the temperature and this tendencies correspond with that of the draw ratio.

Automatic grease lubricator is equipment that provides adequate amount of fresh grease constantly to the shaft and the bearings of machines. It minimizes the friction heat and reduces the friction loss of machines to the least. This research is to develop automatic grease lubricator by gear driven mechanism with controlled operation time. The ultimate design of this equipment is to lubricate an adequate amount of grease by a simple switch clicking according to the advanced set cycle. The backlash of the gear was minimized to increase the output power. To increase the power of gear mechanism, the binding frequency and the thickness of the coil were changed. To control the rotating cycles of the main shaft according to its set numbers, different resistance and chips were used to design the circuit to controls electrical signals with pulse. The body of the lubricator was analyzed by stress analysis with different constructed angle. The stress analysis for differing loading pressures applied to the exterior body of grease lubricator due to the setup angle, was found that the maximum stress was distributed over the outlet part where the grease lubricator suddenly narrowed contracts. Digital mock-up was analyzed and the rapid prototyping(RP) trial products were tested with PCB circuit and grease. The evaluation of the outlet capacity for RP trial products was conducted, because the friction caused by the outlet on the wall surface was an important factor in the operation of the equipment. Finally, the finishing process was applied to decrease the roughness of the surface to a comparable level and was able to test the performance examination for the product.
In recent years, the application of digital textile printing has increased. The benefits of using this method include the ease of sampling and the production of printed textiles. However, the production process of digital textile printing differs from that of conventional printing. For successful digital textile printing by ink-jet technology, the pretreatment of fabrics is very important in order to overcome the following problems. Low viscosity ink can spread easily on the textile surface leading to poor resolution. As a result, the combination of ink and pretreatment chemicals is still impractical and consequently most fabrics used in digital textile printing will require a pre treated coating in order to prevent the ink colours from bleeding on the fabric. Research presented in this paper shows some preliminary attempts to establish the relationship between the pre treatment and the digital textile printing quality. Various cotton fabrics were treated with pre treatment agents including ingredients like thickener, alkali and humectant, and then ink spread effect and colour yield of printed fabrics by reactive ink were analysed by using an optical microscope and K/S value. The results show that digital textile printing quality on cotton fabrics can be optimized with appropriate pre treatments.
Purpose: This study aimed to comparatively evaluate the stress distribution of bones surrounding the implant system to which both titanium and polyetheretherketone (PEEK) abutments are applied using a three-dimensional finite element analysis. Methods: The three-dimensional implant system was designed by the computer-aided design program (CATIA; Dassault Systemes). The discretization process for setting nodes and elements was conducted using the HyperMesh program (Altair), after finishing the design of each structure for the customized abutment implant system. The results of the stress analysis were drawn from the Abaqus program (Dassault Systèmes). This study applied 200 N of vertical load and 100 N of oblique load to the occlusal surface of a mandibular first molar. Results: Under external load application, the PEEK-modeled dental implant showed the highest von Mises stress (VMS). The lowest VMS was observed in the Ti-modeled abutment screws. In all groups, the VMS was observed in the crestal regions or necks of implants. Conclusion: The bones surrounding the implant system to which the PEEK abutment was applied, such as the cortical and trabecular bones, showed stress distribution similar to that of the titanium implant system. This finding suggests that the difference in the abutment materials had no effect on the stress distribution of the bones surrounding implants. However, the PEEK abutments require mechanical and physical properties improved for clinical application, and the clinical application is thought to be limited.

In this study, lignin/chlorinated poly(vinyl chloride)(CPVC) blended fibers have been produced for the development of low-cost carbon fiber. Carbon fiber manufacturing was accomplished through stabilization and carbonization process. The lignin/CPVC blended fibers were prepared by wet spinning method. Dimethylacetamid e(DMAc) and cychlohexanone in a ratio of 5:1(wt%) was employed as co-solvent. The ratio of lignin/CPVC was prepared at 0/10, 1/9, 2/8, 3/7, 4/6, and 5/5(wt%). The spinning solution was extruded at a rate of 0.1 to 0.4ml/min according to the blending ratio. The speed of the rollers was the same for all ratios(draw ratio=1). Analysis of fiber cross-section by scanning eletron microscopy(SEM) showed that as the lignin ratio increased in the same coagulation bath and distilled water, the pore size of the spinning fiber decreased. Therefore, the highest tensile strength of the blending fibers was 6.3±1.2MPa at the 5/5 ratio. The carbon fiber also showed the best tensile strength of 120.78±2.43MPa at 5/5 ratio.
Design of experiments (DoE) concept was successfully applied to determine the optimum processing conditions that yield maximum % exhaustion for berberine interaction with synthetic tanning agent pretreated polyamide substrates. The potential of synthetic tanning agent to provide anionic sites on the polyamide for berberine interaction which is cationic in nature was tested to increase the % exhaustion of berberine in this article. Experiments were designed according to Central Composite Rotatable Design (CCRD). The three factors for synthetic tanning agent pretreatment and two factors for berberine interaction each at five different levels, including central and axial points were considered. Experiments were conducted in a laboratory scale infra-red treatment instrument according to CCRD. For each response, second order polynomial models were developed using multiple linear regression analysis incorporating linear, interactions and squared effects of all variables and then optimized. The significance of the mathematical model developed was ascertained using Excel regression (solver) analysis module. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) was performed to check the adequacy and accuracy of the fitted models. The response surfaces and contour maps showing the interaction of process variables were constructed. Applying Monte Carlo simulation, response surface and contour plots, optimum operating conditions were found and at this optimum point, % exhaustion of 81% and 74% respectively for synthetic tanning agent pretreatment and berberine interaction were observed and subsequently the results were experimentally investigated.
This study deals with finish roll forming by forced displacement can be conceived as a method of eliminating errors in conventional form rolling under constant loads. This method produces a high-precision tooth profile by low-speed form rolling when a high rigid screw or cam is used at the pressurized section. Tooth profile is decided in the beginning of roll forming and ${\delta}_{max}$ mainly increases if the number of roll forming process is increased. Gear class is improved by one or two class after roll forming if the gear has convex type error and pressure angle error in KS 4 class. If the gear have concave type error and pressure angle error and pressure angle error, gear class is not improved in theory, but improved a little in practice. In the finishing roll forming, it inevitably yields both the concaving of tooth profile and plastic deflection of addendum of teeth. Experiments show that the concaving and the plastic deflection are successfully reduced, the accuracy of tooth profile reaches to KS 0 class.

The purpose of the present study was first, to evaluate the relationship between composite surface conversion and surface discoloration, second, to know if there was difference in surface discoloration between celluloid-strip-finished composite surface and polished surface. In addition, the discoloration of composite surface was also evaluated with visual inspection or digital camera with high resolution monitor, Z100, Tetric Ceram, Spectrum, and Aelitfil were used. The composite surfaces were celluloid-strip finished (group 1), polished (group 2), celluloid-strip finished under nitrogen gas purging (group 3) or only light cured without finishing or polishing under nitrogen gas purging (group 4). The microhardness of each samples were also measured in each group. The samples of each group were also divided into 4 subgroup whether they were immediately placed in disclosing solution (0.2% Elythrosin, pH 7.0) (subgroup1), 1 day after light curing(subgroup 2), 3day after light curing(subgroup 3) or 7 day after light curing(subgroup 4). The computer controlled spectrophotometer was used to determine CIELAB coordinates ($L^*$, $a^*$, $b^*$). The amounts of color difference were compared. The results were as follows; 1. There was no difference in discoloration between celluloid strip finished composite surface and polished surface. 2. The samples discolored more when they were placed in disclosing solution immediately after polymerization than other groups. 3. When the samples were light cured under nitrogen gas purging and without polishing process, they discolored more than other groups even though they showed higher micro hardness. 4. With visual inspection or digital camera, only a limited information was available in detecting composite surface discoloration.

Coffee is a popular beverage not only in Korea but also around the world, and its consumption is on the rise. As coffee consumption increases, coffee waste are also increasing, and recycling is attempted in various fields. However, these recycling methods require complex recycling processes and specialized skills. However, in this study coffee waste, agar powder, and powdered glue were mixed in an appropriate ratio and used as a cement building finishing material. This recycling method has a simple manufacturing method and was shown to improve indoor air quality by delaying radon emitted from cement walls for 2.5 hours with one application and 3.9 hours with two applications. In addition, it was shown that after applying the coffee waste mixture, it was applied twice to close the cracks that occurred during the drying process, thereby prevent the coffee waste from falling off the wall for aesthetic perfection.
