악성 고형암의 항암제 동반진단 기술에서 분자진단기술의 적용 (Application of Molecular Diagnostics Technology in the Development of a Companion Diagnostics for Malignant Solid Tumors)

  • 악성종양은 양성종양과 달리 전이가 가능하고 재발이 쉬울 뿐 아니라 생존율 및 삶의 질이 떨어지는 질환이다. 국내의 경우 악성종양 치료 시 건강보험심사평가원이 제시한 항암화학요법 일반원칙에 따라 일괄적으로 치료하는 경향이 있다. 하지만 근래에는 일방적인 약물치료보다는 동반진단제를 사용을 권고하는데 이는 바이오마커를 이용한 분자진단기법으로 동반진단하여 치료 전에 환자의 약물 반응을 예측할 수 있기 때문이며, 국내외 식품의약품안전처에서는 의약품의 반응성 및 안전성을 확보하기 위하여 신약개발단계에서 동반진단제를 함께 개발하기를 권고한다. 본 종설에서는 악성 고형암을 중심으로 동반진단제의 개발방향 및 개발현황을 문헌고찰을 통해 분석하였고, 동반진단제로 사용되는 다양한 분자진단기법, 예컨대 면역조직화학염색법, 중합효소연쇄반응법, 제자리부합법, 차세대염기서열분석법 등에 따른 동반진단제 개발현황 및 미국 식품의약품안전청의 승인사례를 조사하여 최신 동반진단 개발동향을 함께 살폈다. 그리고 동반진단제 개발과정에서 기술적 사항으로 허가시점에 맞춘 분자진단기술을 선택과 진단제에 대한 명확한 기전이해와 더불어 치료와 동반진단제의 융합을 제언하였고, 사회적으로 동반진단제에 대한 공공보험의 급여책정이 필요함을 제언하였다.

  • In order to the excellent differentiation of syndromes, we study on the individual characteristic factor by the inspection of face colour and tongue & the auscultation and olfaction. To the subject of diagnosis special books and diagnostics textbook of korean medicine, we arrange the individual characteristic factor by the inspection of face colour and tongue & the auscultation and olfaction. The inspection on the individual characteristic factor was analyzed the face colour, inspection of tongue. The auscultation and olfaction on the individual characteristic factor was analyzed the 25 types by the five-voice (五音) in Huang Di Nei Jing (黃帝內經). As the results, the individual characteristic factor is very important item of the four methods of diagnosis and the differentiation of syndromes. And Therefore the process on four methods of diagnosis and differentiation of syndromesis is necessary to divide the signs of individual characteristic factor and the signs of disease.

유상한(類傷寒)의 내력(來歷)과 그 종류(種類)에 대한 소고(小考) (A study on the History of Yusanghan and the Types)

  • Objectives Yusanghan(類傷寒) means disease which chills and fever manifest like Cold damage(傷寒) but not Cold damage. However, study on Yussanghan is insignificant. The purpose of this study is to examine the origin and development process of Yusanghan. Methods: 1. Terms and disease related with Yusanghan was collected from books covering Cold damage of all time and analyzed. 2. The transition history was researched by analyzing collected terms. 3. Total appearance frequency of all time by collected disease was researched. Results: Yusanghan was appeared in Hwalinseo(活人書), which Ju Geong(朱肱) of the Song Dynasty wrote, for the first time and the definition and type were established. For the types of those, there are four diseases such as Phlegm-Fluid Retention(痰飮), Food Accumulation(食積), Vexation of Deficiency Type(虛煩), Beriberi(脚氣). Since then, the theory about Yusanghan had developed and the number of types had also increased until the Myung Dynasty. Conclusions: In early days, External Contraction Diseases(外感病) was not included in Yusanghan, but since the late Myung Dynasty, there were a lot of doctors who included External Contraction Diseases in Yusanghan, not in Cold damage. There are Summerheat Stroke, Wind-Dampness(風濕), and Warm Disease(溫病) etc. for included External Contraction Diseases. Because of this, the number of types of Yusanhan had significantly increased.

원전 안전필수 계측제어시스템의 주기적 자동고장검출기능에 따른 고장허용 평가모델 (The Fault Tolerant Evaluation Model due to the Periodic Automatic Fault Detection Function of the Safety-critical I&C Systems in the Nuclear Power Plants)

  • This study suggests a generalized availability and safety evaluation model to evaluate the influences to the system's fault tolerant capabilities depending on automatic fault detection function such as the automatic periodic testings. The conventional evaluation model of automatic fault detection function deals only with the self diagnostics, and supposes that the fault detection coverage of self diagnostics is always constant. But all of the fault detection methods could be degraded. For example, the periodic surveillance test has the potential human errors or test equipment errors, the self diagnostics has the potential degradation of built-in logics, and the automatic periodic testing has the potential degradation of automatic test facilities. The suggested evaluation models have incorporated the loss or erroneous behaviors of the automatic fault detection methods. The availability and the safety of each module of the safety grade platform have been evaluated as they were applied the automatic periodic test methodology and the fault tolerant evaluation models. The availability and safety of the safety grade platform were improved when applied the automatic periodic testing. Especially the fault tolerant capability of the processor module with a weak self-diagnostics and the process parameter input modules were dramatically improved compared to the conventional cases. In addition, as a result of the safety evaluation of the digital reactor protection system, the system safety of the digital parts was improved about 4 times compared to the conventional cases.

Study on Validity and Reliablity of the Cutoff Probe and Langmuir Probe via Comparative Experiment in the Processing Plasma

  • Recently, diagnostics of plasma becomes more important due to requirement of precise control of plasma processing based on measurement of plasma characteristics. The Langmuir probe has been used for the diagnostics but it has an inevitable uncertainty and error sources such as incorrect tip length and RF noise. Instead of the Langmuir probe, various diagnostic methods have been developed and researched. The cutoff probe is promising one for plasma density using microwaves and resonance phenomenon at the plasma frequency. The cutoff probe has various advantages as follows; (i) it is simple and robust, (ii) it uses few assumptions, and (iii) it is free from deposition by reactive gas. However, the cutoff probe also has uncertainty and error sources such as gap between tips, tip length, direction of tip plane, and RF noise. In this study, the uncertainty and error sources in manufacturing both probes and in diagnostics process were analyzed via comparative experiment at various discharge conditions. Furthermore, to reveal the user dependence of both probes, three well trained Ph. D students made the Langmuir probe and the cutoff probe, respectively, and it were analyzed. Thought this study, it is established that reliability and validity of the Langmuir probe and the cutoff probe related with not only the intrinsic characteristics of probes but also probe user.

한국어판 CADI 설문 지 개발 - 횡문화적 번역 및 안면타당도 검증 - (Development of CADI Questionnaires in Korean - Cross-cultural Translations and Verification of face validity -)

  • Background and Objectives: Cardiff Acne Disability Index(CADI) is one tool used internationally to measure the quality of life of acne sufferers. There, however, is a necessity of developing Korean version of CADI, as the questionnaires of the original one are written in English, making it hard to apply for Korean patients. So as a first step, we conducted a cross-cultural translation of CADI into Korean and verification of face validity. Methods: After properly translating CADI questionnaires into Korean up to guidelines for cross-cultural adaptation of health related quality-of-life measures, we conducted a survey with 122 undergraduates to get face validity, using the translated questionnaires. Results: About the translated CADI questionnaires, 86 out of 107 undergraduates replied that they had no difficulty understanding them, while 21 offered ideas about ambiguous expressions of them. Upon further examination of two oriental doctors, two sentences were additionally modified in the translated version. Conclusions: Firstly, we created the Korean version of CADI, one of the most effective methods in the world to measure acne sufferers' quality of life, by properly translated the original version into Korean. Then we conducted a survey for face validity with the translated questionnaires and gathered opinions from those questioned. After going through some examining and correcting procedures based on the opinions, we finalized the Korean version of CADI. It will also require a follow-up verification process to prove credibility and validity of the final version of Korean CADI.

Effect of Silsosangami on Neutrophil Functions and Cyclo-oxygenase-2

  • Silsosangami(SSG) is a formula of oriental medicines as an effective biological response modifier for augmenting host homeostasis of body circulation. Also SSG has been known to have an anti-diabetic activity and anti-platelet aggregation activity. The present study was undertaken to examine the effects of a new SSG on murine macrophage and human neutrophil functions as well as on several enzymes relevant to the inflammatory process. The results of the present study indicate that SSG exerts anti-inflammatory effects related to the inhibition of neutrophil functions and of PGE2 production, which could be due to a decreased expression of and COX-2.

  • Plasma processing of semiconductor materials plays a dominant role in microelectronic technology. During last century, plasma have gone a way from laboratory phenomena to industrial applications due to intensive progress in both scientific and industrial trends. Improvement and development of new experience together with development of plasma theory and plasma diagnostics methods. A most parameters (pressure, flow rate, power density) and various levels of plasma system (energy distribution, volume gas chemistry, transport, heterogeneous effects) to understand the whole process mechanism. It will allow us to choose a correct ways for processes optimization.

  • This paper describes how to diagnose SBR plant equipment using time-series data mining. It shows the equipment diagnostics based upon vibration signals that are acquired from each device for process control. Data transform techniques including two data preprocessing skills and data mining methods were employed in the data analysis. The proposed method is not only suitable for SBR equipment, but is also suitable for other industrial devices. The experimental results performed on a lab-scale SBR plant show a good equipment-management performance.
