Membrane structures, a kind of lightweight soft structural system, are used for spatial structures. The design procedure of membrane structures are needed to do shape finding, stress-deformation analysis and cutting pattern generation, because the material property has strong axial stiffness, but little bending stiffness. The problem of cutting pattern is highly varied in their size, curvature and material stiffness. So, the approximation inherent in cooing pattern generation methods is quite different. Therefore the ordinary computer software of structural analysis & design is not suitable for membrane structures. In this study, we develop the program for cutting pattern generation using geodesic line, and investigate the result of example's cutting pattern in detail.

This paper introduces Two-stage neural network that is capable of recognizing spatio-temporal patterns. First stage takes a spatio-temporal pattern as input and compress it into sparse spatio-temporal pattern. Second stage is for temporal pattern recognition with nonuniform inhibitory connections and different cell sizes. These are basic properties for detecting a embeded pattern in a larger pattern. The network is evaluated by computer simulation.

We propose a new content-based image retrieval using a block color co-occurrence matrix (BCCM) and pattern correlogram. In the proposed method, the color feature vectors are extracted by using BCCM that represents the probability of the co-occurrence of two mean colors within blocks. Also the pattern feature vectors are extracted by using pattern correlogram which is combined with spatial correlation of pattern. In the proposed pattern correlogram method. after block-divided image is classified into 48 patterns with respect to the change of the RGB color of the image, joint probability between the same pattern from the surrounding blocks existing at the fixed distance and the center pattern is calculated. Experimental results show that the proposed method can outperform the conventional methods as regards the precision and the size of the feature vector dimension.

본 논문에서는 휴대폰에 사용되는 Multi-band 용 helical antenna 의 radiation pattern 을 체적화하기 위한 방법을 제안하고자 하였다. 일반적으로 GSM 휴대폰에 사용되는 안테나는 GSM, DCS 의 dual band 인 경우가 다수이며 추세에 따라 요즘은 PCS 등을 포함한 triple band 의 안테나가 많이 선호되고 있다. 이러한 multi band antenna 의 radiation pattern 에 영향을 미치는 변수로 본 논문에서는 ground 의 length 와 width 그리고 폴더쪽에 사용되는 LCD 의 ground 와 폴더쪽 기구물에 사용된 EMI spray 등의 변화를 통해 pattern 의 변화를 알아보고 이러한 변수를 조절하여 radiation pattern을 최적화하는 방법에 관하여 논하였다.

In 1997, Dr. James Chien-Min Sung patented the technology of making diamond tools according to a predetermined pattern. The optimization of this pattern may double the tool life and the cutting speed. In 1998, Sung also made $DiaGrid^{(R)}$ saw segments that showed superior performance in cutting granite and marble. In 2000, Sung visited Shinhan and introduced them this revolutionary concept of diamond saw segments. In 2005, Shinhan adapted the idea and produced saw segments with diamond grits set in a predetermined pattern, their results confirmed that the sawing speed and the sawing life were both improved over conventional designs.

Moving pattern is as a kind of sequential pattern, which can be extracted from the large volume of location history data. This sort of knowledge is very useful in supporting intelligence to the LBS or GIS. In this paper, we proposed the continuous moving pattern mining approach in LBS platform and LBS Miner. The location updates of moving objects affect the set of the rules maintained. In our approach, we use the validity thresholds that indicate the next time to invoke the incremental pattern mining. The mining system will play a major role in supporting the various LBS solutions.

In shape finding, membrane structures are unstable structures initially. These soft structures need to be introduced initial stresses because of its initial unstable state, and it happens large deformation phenomenon. And also there are highly varied in their size, curvature and material stiffness. So, the approximation inherent in cutting pattern generation methods is quite different. Therefore, in this study, to find the structural shape after large deformation caused by Initial stress, we need the shape analysis considering geometric nonlinear ten And the geodesic line on surface of initial equilibrium shape and the cutting pattern generation using the geodesic line is introduced.
