  • Objectives: Non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI) and suicidal behavior, including suicidal ideation (SI) and suicide attempts, are important predictors of suicide in adolescents. This study aimed to investigate the associations between NSSI, SI, NSSI+SI, mental health problems, and family factors in Korean adolescents in Jeju Island, with an emphasis on key findings. Methods: A total of 561 adolescents completed self-report questionnaires regarding demographics, NSSI, SI, suicidal behavior, perceived family functioning, and mental health problems, which were assessed using Center for Epidemiological Studies Depression Scale for Children, Screen for Children Anxiety-Related Disorders (SCARED), and Youth Self-Report (YSR). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, one-way analysis of variance, chi-square test, post-hoc analyses, and multivariate logistic regression. Results: In this study, 22.3% of adolescents reported either NSSI or SI, with 5.5% reporting NSSI and 20.7% reporting SI. Combined (NSSI+SI) group showed a significantly higher SCARED score, anxiety/depression, thought problems, attention problem, and rule breaking on YSR than did the SI only group. Higher level of depression and anxiety were significantly associated with NSSI and SI. Female sex and perceived family dissatisfaction were significantly associated factors for SI, but not for NSSI in multivariate logistic regression. Conclusion: This study provides insights into the clinical characteristics and associated factors among adolescents with NSSI, SI, and NSSI+SI in Jeju Island. Identifying these results can inform the development of targeted prevention and intervention strategies to mitigate the negative consequences of these behaviors and contribute to a better understanding of the role of family in this context.

  • The calculation of the natural frequencies versus Young's modulus of carbon nanotubes with modified continuum shell is the subject of current research. When designing these tubes, it is important to understand their frequencies because excessive vibrations might cause fatigue. These tubes are designed and built to meet specific needs and have been suitably modified to investigate their vibratory response. There are numerous uses for carbon nanotube free vibration analysis in the mechanical sciences. The fundamental frequency with Young's modulus for clamped-free and simply supported end conditions, which is connected to the carbon nanotubes, is calculated theoretically for chiral single carbon nanotubes. When Young's modulus rises, so does the frequency curve pattern. Young's modulus influences the single-walled carbon nanotube's dynamic response by simulating it as a modified continuum shell. The Young's modulus of chiral tube and the value of frequency increased as the chiral tube's index increased. The results are checked against past studies to ensure the problem's validity and are determined to be accurate.

  • Recently, various studies have emerged that utilize hyperspectral imaging for crop growth analysis and early disease diagnosis. However, the challenge of using numerous spectral bands or finding the optimal bands for crop area remains a difficult problem. In this paper, we propose a method of searching the optimized spectral band of crop area based on deep learning using the hyper-spectral image. The proposed method extracts RGB images within hyperspectral images to segment background and foreground area through a Vision Transformer-based Seformer. The segmented results project onto each band of gray-scale converted hyperspectral images. It determines the optimized spectral band of the crop area through the pixel comparison of the projected foreground and background area. The proposed method achieved foreground and background segmentation performance with an average accuracy of 98.47% and a mIoU of 96.48%. In addition, it was confirmed that the proposed method converges to the NIR regions closely related to the crop area compared to the mRMR method.

  • According to the UN report, the question of the position and roles of women in society is a important global problem. Nowadays the form of the family in which the man was the breadwinner, changes its shape. Model family with two working parents looks more reasonable to modern reality. Russian Woman seeks to equality in the family to combine family and work. They want to realize herself not only in the home, but also in the professional field more. So I observe the experience of the changing roles of the women in today's Russian family and work. The method of the article is in-depth interview of working women, who have a child. Starting from a question, how to think Russian women about their marriage and family relationships, the article analyses the tendencies of them. The model of marriage and family seems to be various types such as a tendency of pluralism in post-soviet society. But the Russian family policy don't include their real problems with various families. And the analysis of the interview shows that it is necessary to improve the balance of work and family life for gender equality in a changing society. Because the traditional model of family changes by another model of the dual-earner families, where there is partnership and equality. The work-family reconciliation policy for gender equality needs to aim the socialization of caring for working parents and to encourage Russian men's participation in childcare.

  • This paper proposes a method to reduce the delay time caused by control message conflicts in VADAMA (Virtual Allocation Demand Assigned Multiple Access) technology, which is a virtual allocation based on-demand multiple access technology in MF-TDMA (Multi-Frequency Time Division Multiple Access) satellite network. Traditionally, satellite networks have had the problem that all network transmissions have long delay times due to control messages. In this study, in order to improve the delay time caused by terminal control message conflicts in VADAMA technology, the concept of virtual allocation is used to reduce the delay time. VADAMA-PTR (VADAMA Periodic Transmission) divides all terminals into subnets and transmits control. The method is proposed, and the performance analysis of the existing DAMA technology, delay time and data processing rate is performed using Matlab. The results show that the performance is improved.

  • Reactor core transient calculation is very important for the reactor safety analysis, in which the kernel is neutron kinetics calculation by simulating the variation of neutron density or thermal power over time. Compared with the point kinetics method, the time-space neutron kinetics calculation can provide accurate variation of neutron density in both space and time domain. But it consumes a lot of resources. It is necessary to develop a surrogate model that can quickly obtain the temporal and spatial variation information of neutron density or power with acceptable calculation accuracy. This paper uses the time-varying characteristics of power to construct a time function, parameterizes the time-varying characteristics which contains the information about the spatial change of power. Thereby, the amount of targets to predict in the space domain is compressed. A surrogate method using the machine learning is proposed in this paper. In the construction of a neural network, the input is processed by a convolutional layer, followed by a fully connected layer or a deconvolution layer. For the problem of time sequence disturbance, a structure combining convolutional neural network and recurrent neural network is used. It is verified in the tests of a series of 1D, 2D and 3D reactor models. The predicted values obtained using the constructed neural network models in these tests are in good agreement with the reference values, showing the powerful potential of the surrogate models.

  • Due to increasingly busy lifestyles, sleep time is gradually being reduced, leading to a growing interest in effective sleep methods. Traditional alarms that only ring at a set time can disrupt efficient sleep and increase fatigue. To solve this problem, a smart alarm system utilizing Raspberry Pi has been proposed. The proposed alarm not only rings at a preset time, like conventional alarms, but also helps by using an infrared sensor attached to the Raspberry Pi to detect the user's sleep onset time and calculate the optimal sleep duration, setting the alarm accordingly. Additionally, it allows for easy naps during the day by setting a fixed nap time. This Smart Alarm system was implemented using MIT App Inventor. The proposed Smart Alarm system is expected to contribute to more efficient sleep.
