  • The recent health care is growing rapidly want to receive offers users a variety of medical services, can be exploited easily exposed to a third party information on the role of the patient's hospital staff (doctors, nurses, pharmacists, etc.) depending on the patient clearly may have to be classified. In this paper, in order to ensure safe use by third parties in the health care environment, classify the attributes of patient information and patient privacy protection technique using hierarchical multi-property rights proposed to classify information according to the role of patient hospital officials The. Hospital patients and to prevent the proposed method is represented by a mathematical model, the information (the data consumer, time, sensor, an object, duty, and the delegation circumstances, and so on) the privacy attribute of a patient from being exploited illegally patient information from a third party the prevention of the leakage of the privacy information of the patient in synchronization with the attribute information between the parties.

  • RFID technology is evaluated as one of core technologies for ubiquitous environment, because of its various characteristics which barcode systems don't have. However, RFID systems have consumer's privacy infringement problems, such like information leakage and location tracing. We need RFID privacy protection protocols, that satisfy three essential security requirements; confidentiality, indistinguishability and forward security, in order to protect consumer's privacy perfectly. The most secure protocol, that satisfies all of the three essential security requirements, among existing protocols, is the hash-chain based protocol that Ohkubo proposed. Unfortunately this protocol has a big disadvantage that it takes very long time to identify a tag in the back-end server. In this paper, we propose a scheme to keep security just as it is and to reduce computation time for identifying a tag in back-end server. The proposed scheme shows the results that the identification time in back-end server is reduced considerably compared to the original scheme of Ohkubo protocol.

  • Recently, as personal information has been used as data, various new industries have been discovered, but cases of personal information leakage and misuse have occurred one after another due to insufficient systematic management system establishment. In addition, services that use personal information anonymously and anonymously have emerged since the enforcement of the Data 3 Act in August 2020, but personal information issues have arisen due to insufficient alias processing, safety measures for alias information processing, and insufficient hate expression. Therefore, this study proposed a new PbD principle that can be applied to the pseudonym information life cycle based on the Privacy by Design (PbD) principle proposed by Ann Cavoukian [1] of Canada to safely utilize personal information. In addition, the significance of the proposed method was confirmed through a survey of 30 experts related to personal information protection.

  • Internet of Things (IoT) services are widely used in appliances of daily life and industries. IoT services also provide various conveniences to users and are expected to affect value added of all industries and national competitiveness. However, a variety of security threats are increased in IoT environments and lowers reliability of IoT devices and services that make some obstacles for commercialization. The attacks arising in IoT environments are making industrial and normal life accidents unlike existing information leak and monetary damages, and can expand damage scale of leakage of personal information and privacy more than existing them. To solve these problems, we design a session key based access control scheme for secure communications in IoT environments. The proposed scheme reinforces message security by generating session key between device and access control network system. We analyzed the stability of the proposed access scheme in terms of data forgery and corruption, unauthorized access, information disclosure, privacy violations, and denial of service attacks. And we also evaluated the proposed scheme in terms of permission settings, privacy indemnity, data confidentiality and integrity, authentication, and access control.

  • The purpose of this study is to profile actual conditions of personal information protection systems operated in overseas countries and examine major considerations of personal information that security service providers must know in the capacity of privacy information processor, so that it may contribute to preventing potential occurrence of any legal disputes in advance. Particularly, this study further seeks to describe fundamental idea and principle of said Personal Information Protection Act; enhancement of various safety measures (e.g. collection/use of privacy data, processing of sensitive information/personal ID information, and encryption of privacy information); restrictions on installation/operation of video data processing devices; and penal regulations as a means of countermeasure against leakage of personal information, while proposing possible solutions to cope with these matters. Using cases among foreign countries for this study.

  • Driven by security and real-time demands of Internet of Things (IoT), the timing of fog computing and edge computing have gradually come into place. Gateways bear more nearby computing, storage, analysis and as an intelligent broker of the whole computing lifecycle in between local devices and the remote cloud. In fog computing, the edge broker requires X-aware capabilities that combines software programmability, stream processing, hardware optimization and various connectivity to deal with such as security, data abstraction, network latency, service classification and workload allocation strategy. The prosperous of Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) pushes the possibility of gateway capabilities further landed. In this paper, we propose a software-defined gateway (SDG) scheme for fog computing paradigm termed as Fog Computing Zero-Knowledge Gateway that strengthens data protection and resilience merits designed for industrial internet of things or highly privacy concerned hybrid cloud scenarios. It is a proxy for fog nodes and able to integrate with existing commodity gateways. The contribution is that it converts Privacy-Enhancing Technologies rules into provable statements without knowing original sensitive data and guarantees privacy rules applied to the sensitive data before being propagated while preventing potential leakage threats. Some logical functions can be offloaded to any programmable micro-controller embedded to achieve higher computing efficiency.

  • With the development of information and communication technologies, especially wireless networks and cell phones, the e-voting system becomes popular as its cost-effectiveness, swiftness, scalability, and ecological sustainability. However, the current e-voting schemes are faced with the problem of privacy leakage and further cause worse vote-buying and voter-coercion problems. Moreover, in large-scale voting, some previous e-voting system encryption scheme with pairing operation also brings huge overhead pressure to the voting system. Thus, it is a vital problem to design a protocol that can protect voter privacy and simultaneously has high efficiency to guarantee the effective implementation of e-voting. To address these problems, our paper proposes an efficient unidirectional proxy re-encryption scheme that provides the re-encryption of vote content and the verification of users' identity. This function can be exactly applied in the e-voting system to protect the content of vote and preserve the privacy of the voter. Our proposal is proven to be CCA secure and collusion resistant. The detailed analysis also shows that our scheme achieves higher efficiency in computation cost and ciphertext size than the schemes in related fields.

  • The industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) is characterized by intelligent connection, real-time data processing, collaborative monitoring, and automatic information processing. The heterogeneous IIoT devices require a high data rate, high reliability, high coverage, and low delay, thus posing a significant challenge to information security. High-performance edge and cloud servers are a good backup solution for IIoT devices with limited capabilities. However, privacy leakage and network attack cases may occur in heterogeneous IIoT environments. Cloud-based multi-party computing is a reliable privacy-protecting technology that encourages multiparty participation in joint computing without privacy disclosure. However, the default cloud selection method does not meet the heterogeneous IIoT requirements. The server can be dishonest, significantly increasing the probability of multi-party computation failure or inefficiency. This paper proposes a blockchain and smart contract-based optimized cloud node selection framework. Different participants choose the best server that meets their performance demands, considering the communication delay. Smart contracts provide a progressive request mechanism to increase participation. The simulation results show that our framework improves overall multi-party computing efficiency by up to 44.73%.

  • DaaS model that surrogates their data has a problem of privacy leakage by service provider. In this paper, we analyze inference attack that can occur on encrypted data that consist of multiple column through index, and we suggest b-anonymity to protect data against inference attack. We use R+-tree technique to minimize false-positive that can happen when we use an index for efficiency of data processing.
