Power system stability is correlated with system structure, disturbances and operating conditions, and power flows on transmission lines are closely related with those conditions. This paper proposes a methodology to identify correlative power flows for power system transient and small-signal stability prediction. In transient stability sense, the Critical Clearing Time is used to select some dominant contingencies, and Transient Stability Prediction index is proposed for the quantitative comparison. For small-signal stability discusses a methodology to identify crucial transmission lines for stability prediction by introducing a sensitivity factor based on eigenvalue sensitivity technique. On-line monitoring of the selected lines enables to predict system stability in real-time. Also, a procedure to make a priority list of monitored transmission lines is proposed. The procedure is applied to a test system, and it shows capabilities of the proposed method.

The purpose of this study is to suggest the general education contents for undergraduate students at engineering related departments through need analysis in order to develop creative and integral talents. For this study, the need analysis was conducted by using focus group interviews, Borich's educational need equation and the Locus for Focus Model, and highly ranked priorities on both methods proposed as the highest priorities. As a result, 'drawing up a letter of self-introduction and a portfolio', 'understanding fields', 'understanding careers related to the major', 'presentation skills', 'knowledge for certificated exams', 'method to deduct creative ideas' were high on the list of top five priorities. The selected items by Locus for Focus Model show that undergraduate students at engineering related departments need general education contents associated with career development and communication by priority.

This study intends to analysis problems and propose of EIA(Environmental Impact Assessment) and PER(Pre-Environmental Review) especially on division of landscape impacts. The problems of EIA and PER are first, on analysis of existing conditions side, insufficiency of the list of landscape elements and their descriptions and presentations, and the number of viewpoints and each validity second, on estimation of landscape impacts, the methods and techniques of estimation and simulation, and the process of impact estimation, third, on suggestion of reduction plans, reduction devices covering impacts, the lack of influence reduction forecasting devices, the deficiency of execution power of reduction plans, finally, the systematic connection of impact estimation with existing conditions analysis and reduction plans. Therefore, on each step from existing condition analysis to reduction plan suggestion, the solutions to each problem are proposed.

This paper evaluated the benefits of the National Health Insurance(NHI) and suggested the necessity of extending some oriental medical services into the benefits schedule in the NHI. Comparing the rate of public financing in national health expenditure in OECD countries and measuring out-of-pocket payments in total medical cost showed the level of insurance payments to total medical cost is approximately $50%{\sim}60%$ in Korea, which is quite insufficient to pay household medical expenses, although the NHI covers the whole population. A few of consumers' priority surveys for medical needs suggested herb medicine, muscle treatment, and manufactured herb medicine be included in the list of the NHI benefits, based on efficiency and equity criteria. It was estimated that the NHI can afford to cover these three items of oriental medical services.

The air separation plants in the POSCO's Gwangyang Steel Works require high standard on quality as well as reliability as they have to continuously supply essential utility gases as oxygen, nitrogen and argon. And the plants are in the category of high pressure gas systems by the regulatory guidelines, which signifies that they have to maintain utmost level of safety. As an effort to systematically understand and calculate the risk potentials in the air separation plants, risk assessments have been performed on a phased approach: qualitative and followed by quantitative POSCO has chosen to use hazard and operability study and fault tree analysis to satisfy the requirement. As a result, the risk assessment team has identified number of safety and operability related findings. With importance of each and ever findings calculated, a priority list for what/when to do for them could have been presented on a balance fashion.

The procedure is applied to the PSS/E test system. and it shows capabilities of the proposed method.

As technology advances rapidly, emergency medical dispatching systems must also advance. Optimal emergency medical dispatching requires the courage to practice medicine at dispatch. Modern emergency medical dispatch provides appropriate resource responses with the use of an (Advanced Medical priority Dispatch System(AMPDS) in U.S.A. The AMPDS is a systematic protocol for all aspects of the dispatch process. Based on the AMPDS chief complaint list, we initiated a basic design on pre-arrival instruction protocol and completed the scripted pre-arrival instruction protocol, using Cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR) protocol. Implementation of this study creates computerized emergency medical dispatching system for future enhancements, such as the AMPDS.

이 연구는 IPA 기법을 적용하여 민간경비원들의 여가활동 집중개선 종목을 도출하고, 나아가 여가제약이 참가지수에 미치는 영향을 규명하는데 주된 목적이 있다. 본 연구는 2010년 서울 소재 6개소 민간경비업체를 대상으로 판단표집법을 적용하여 최종분석에 사용된 사례 수는 총 267명이다. 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 민간경비원들의 여가활동 참가 지수인 선호도와 참여도는 차이가 있다. 중점개선 여가활동은 헬스, 산책/조깅, 숙박관광, 당일여행 등이다. 둘째, 민간경비원들의 여가제약은 여가활동 참가지수에 영향을 미친다. 개인내적, 주변의식적, 대인적 제약이 클수록 선호하는 여가활동에 부적 영향을 미치는 반면, 구조적, 시간 경제적 제약을 극복하고 선호하는 여가활동에 정적 영향을 미쳤다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 민간경비원들의 복지적처우개선에 집중적인 투자가 이루어져야 할 것이다.

This paper proposes a unit commitment scheduling method based on hybrid genetic algorithm(GA). When the systems are scaled up, conventional genetic algorithms suffer from computational time limitations because of the growth of the search space. So greatly reduce the search space of the GA and to efficiently deal with the constraints of the problem, priority list unit ordering scheme are incorporated as the initial solution and the minimum up and down time constraints of the units are included. The violations of other constraints are handled by integrating penalty factors. To show the effectiveness of the proposed method. test results for system of 10 units is compared with results obtained using other methods.
