  • In serious crimes, bloody fingerprints are crucial evidence that make links between suspects and victims. There have been many studies related to bloody fingerprints for a long time. There are many comparative studies for effectiveness of Acid Fuchsin and Acid Yellow 7, but nothing about Eosin-Y in this country. Acid Fuchsin is a useful reagent that has unique red color distinguishing from light colored background. but it is useless on dark surfaces. In order to make it visible, we should use BVDA Gel lifters. On the contrary this, Acid Yellow 7 makes stronger fluorescence on a dark background. In this study, we got the conclusion that Eosin-Y is more useful than the others not only on dark background but also light background.

  • 3D printer is based on an additive manufacturing technology, which helps in creating the three-dimensional object using a 3D drawing. It is used in various fields, because it prints out a variety of three-dimensional products in a short period of time. In this paper, we consider a technique using the FDM(Fused Deposition Modeling) method by dissolving the ABS(Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) resin among a diversity of printing technique and materials. This kind of the 3D printer prints out a product in high temperature and cools down it. In this process, a flection phenomenon is occurred according to the size of the printing product and the surrounding environment. Conventional methods for mitigating this phenomenon maintain the temperature at the optimum level, but they require using additional devices. In order to minimize the flection phenomenon in 3D printing products without additional devices, in this paper, we propose a noble technique, which creates holes on suitable positions when they are designed by 3D drawing tools. Also, we suggest mathematical model for the proposed method, and measure and analyse a printing output using a proposed technique.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the features of the conversational patterns presented on the fashion in the early 2000's and analyze it from cultural view. The expression of the patterns is a result of a creative aesthetic activity, mental activity, and the reflection of the common cognition. And the fashion is a part of the life environment. So the patterns presented on the fashion provides a clue to figure out the common unconscious sense for explaining the culture. The patterns have been expressed with different methods belonging to each culture such as weaving and prints. And those of the each cultural group have been communicating each other. The silk came to the Europe in the 6th century. The textile industry which flourished since 15th century. And they shows the chinoiserie or indian prints, not only the european culture. We can observe that the exchange of the techniques and cultures between cultural groups like the east and the west, and the presentation of the patterns is a way to express their own desires. The patterns presented after 2,000 can be classified by the form and the contents. But, more specifically, the patterns classified by the contents, which is Conversational design, can be categorized as followed according to the origin; reflecting cultural identity, Popular culture, Lohas lifestyle, and art movements. Which can be summarized as that the people have more interest on the different cultural group, diversity, retrospectiveness, and exoticism, which the patterns originally belonged to than on the form itself.

  • For the color offset printing, it starts with input of data. The past days, drum scanner or flat scanner used to input of data, but now it changes gradually into using of digital camera because digital camera become popular. The high quality digital camera saves as a data(RAW format), sRGB which have built in digital camera, or Adobe RGB format. sRGB of ICC(International Color Consortium) profile is a standard color gamut of digital camera. Distribution of color gamut in sRGB is less than Adobe RGB have a distribution in ICC profile. sRGB also can not be expressed in some specific part, because distribution of color gamut in sRGB is not able to cover all parts in ICC Profile of international standards CMYK. It is more popular to use Adobe RGB than sRGB to do high quality offset printing and software basis color setting in Europe and Japan. In spite of this data basis, there is a difficulty of doing color correction between the color proofing prints and the final prints. To see how the software color setting effects to RGB data, this thesis will use Gretag Macbeth ColorChecker 24 patch which has the most general natural color chart to compare sRGB and Adobe RGB to check the differences of color changes. It will use the several factors that came out from the process of making ICC Profile to figure out the optimum In-house profile. It also compares the differences of using matt paper and glossy paper to do best quality color proof offset printing, and how the Rendering Intent effects the proof print.

  • Based upon the results of the previous work, the experiments are concentrated on the improvement of the durability of rubber coated fabrics as a rain garment material. To obtain a much lighter and durable coated fabric, several kinds of light weight cotton prints having almost equal density in warp and fillingwise were chosen. Rubber coating on these prints was made by topping and spreading process using rubber compound of various viscosity, and the physical properties of final product were analysed and interpreted in terms of adhesion and durability. The results are as follows. 1. Any noticeable difference between two coating processes was not found in terms of physical properties. 2. Base fabrics should be dipped once into a dilute rubber compound before coating operation in order to obtain a uniform adhesion and physical properties, and the optimum range of the viscosity of dipping paste are from 100 poise to 200 poise. 3. Generally, the tearing strength of the coated fabrics is inversely proportional to the adhesion. 4. It was assumed that the increase of the water proofness after water immersion on the finished material which have dense base fabric is chiefly due to the swelling of the cellulosic fiber.

  • The dermatoglyphic paffems of the hands and feet form during early fetal life and thereafter remain essentially unchanged. These traits are useful to study genetics and environmental factors that influence prenatal life and used in practice for personal identification and diagnosis of some diseases. The students of 112 male and 118 female were tested for the paffems of plantar regions. The most common patterns were open fields in the four interdigital areas and the frequency of the mirror pattern on them was 57.2%. For a-b, b-c and c-d ridge counts of the plantar interdigital areas sampled from 105 male and 109 female students, the nonsignificances were found between both sexes and between both feet.

  • The purpose of this study is to make reference for geometric fashion by investigating geometric patterns by linear types and to propose high value added print and fashion design by designing and producing geometric prints and apparel with them focusing on digital textile printing. As a method of the study, visual and textural data were investigated for theory of geometric pattern and fashion design samples were illustrated. The geometric pattern could be defined as abstract pattern which was crossed with straight line or curve. We could group it into three classes such as straight linear, curved, and mixed type. Images varied with linear types. The image of straight linear type was sharp and modern, that of curved one was soft and feminine and that of mixed one was gorgeous and artistic. And then, 3 geometric prints and 3 one-pieces were designed. The concept of design was simple optimism which was based on sixties. Target was young optimistic women group from the mid teens to the mid twenties who continued to seek after their unique individuality keeping their modern lifestyle. Geometric patterns with straight linear, curved, and mixed type were designed and dresses which went well with them were designed and produced. According to the result of this study, images of geometric fashion can be represented diversely by varying linear type, digital textile printing is good method for high value added geometric fashion because of its high quality and degree of sensitivity, and geometric pattern is a good source for contemporary fashion.

  • A vast amount of materials-such as prints, woodblock prints, manuscripts, old novels, and letters-written in old Korean and using old grammar and/or obsolete characters, are collected in many institutions, including the Jangseogak at the Academy of Korean Studies. Digitization of these texts has required a prolonged manual inputting process. Individual researchers, who majored in old Korean, have read and typed the characters into electronic documents, which depends upon individual skill, effort, and approach, and is particularly limiting because none can be significantly increased. To date, only a small proportion of the old Korean document collections, currently kept in storage, have been digitized and made available to the public. Even the electronic formats of the texts prove difficult to displaying correctly, due to the incompatibility between the old Korean characters and the character set on today's electronic devices. To improve the techniques and efficiency of digitizing old Korean texts, it is necessary to develop optical character recognition (OCR), which will analyze images of old Korean documents, as well as input, display, and storage methods.

  • The ${\beta}$-Lactoglobulin (BLG) gene expression is differentially regulated during development of the mammary tissues. Such differential regulation of the BLG gene expression can be reiterated in the cultured mammary HC11 cells. In the growing non-confluent HC11 cells, the BLG promoter activity was shown to be partially repressed by the upstream regulatory sequence. The repression was gradually diminished and switched to activation as the cells grew confluent. The differential regulation of the BLG promoter was controlled by the 5'-regulatory sequence located at the upstream of 205 bp. Electromobility shift assay showed that nuclear extract from HC11 cells differentially bound on the regulatory sequence, depending on the cell confluency, which was in accordance with the differential transcriptional activity. DNase I foot-print assay, however, revealed that all nuclear extracts presented the same foot-prints, regardless of confluency of HC11 cells. These results suggest that differential regulation BLG gene expression by the 5'-regulatory sequence may be accomplished by competitive and/or cooperative binding of differential regulatory factors on the same regulatory element.
