  • Inner product encryption (IPE) scheme is a cryptographic primitive that provides fine grained relations between secret keys and ciphertexts. This paper proposes a new IPE scheme which achieves fully attribute hiding security. Our IPE scheme is based on bilinear groups of a composite order. We prove the fully attribute hiding security of our IPE by using dual encryption system framework. In performance analysis, we compare the computation cost and memory requirement of our proposed IPE to other existing IPE schemes.

  • Certificate-based cryptography is a new cryptographic primitive which eliminates the necessity of certificates in the traditional public key cryptography and simultaneously overcomes the inherent key escrow problem suffered in identity-based cryptography. However, to the best of our knowledge, all existed constructions of certificate-based encryption so far have to be based on the bilinear pairings. The pairing calculation is perceived to be expensive compared with normal operations such as modular exponentiations in finite fields. The costly pairing computation prevents it from wide application, especially for the computation limited wireless sensor networks. In order to improve efficiency, we propose a new certificate-based encryption scheme that does not depend on the pairing computation. Based on the decision Diffie-Hellman problem assumption, the scheme's security is proved to be against the chosen ciphertext attack in the random oracle. Performance comparisons show that our scheme outperforms the existing schemes.

  • In this paper proposes a new bit-parallel structure for a multiplier over GF((Pn)m), with k-nm. Mastrovito Multiplier, Karatsuba-ofman algorithm are applied to the multiplication of polynomials over GF(2n). This operation has a complexity of order O(k log p3) under certain constrains regardig k. A complete set of primitive field polynomials for composite fields is provided which perform modulo reduction with low complexity. As a result, multiplier for fields GF(Pk) with low gate counts and low delays are constructed. The architectures are highly modular and thus well suited for VLSI implementation.

  • Interior designer Sugimoto Takashi uses salvaged material and natural thing for aesthetical purpose. These material performs not just as fun stuff but as design tool in order to set up cultural meaning which modern society always lacks for. The method of communicating the meaning is the multi-layered trace on them. There are three types of trace. They are harsh texture of surface, untrimmed outline, and gathering & arrangement. Through these formation methods of trace, Sugimoto can suggest various curtural meanings such as vanishing value of old-fashioned lifestyle, primitive energy of nature, and sincere touch of somebody. As a result, the trace in Sugimoto's design is an endeavor to exist tradition(the long ago) and nature(the far away) in here-and-now interior space.

  • In collaborative environment, it is necessary that the participants in collaboration should share the same understanding about the semantics of terms. For example, they should know that 'COMPONENT' and 'ITEM' are different word-expressions for the same meaning. In order to handle such problems in information sharing, an information system needs to automatically recognize that the terms have the same semantics. So we develop an algorithm mapping two terms based on their ontological definitions and their similarities. The proposed algorithm consists of four steps: the character matching, the inferencing, the definition comparing and the similarity checking. In the similarity checking step, we consider relation similarity and hierarchical similarity. The algorithm is very primitive, but it shows the possibility of semi-automatic mapping using ontology. In addition, we design a mapping procedure for a mapping system, called SOM (semantic ontology mapper).

  • In this paper, we propose a framework for ontological knowledge-based image understanding systems. Ontology composed of concepts can be used as a guide for describing objects from a specific domain of interest and describing relations between objects from different domains The proposed framework consists of four main subparts ⅰ) ontological knowledge bases, ⅱ) primitive feature detectors, ⅲ) concept inference engine, and ⅳ) semantic inference engine. Using ontological knowledge bases on various domains and features extracted from the detectors, concept inference engine infers concepts on regions of interest in an image and semantic inference engine reasons semantic situations between concepts from different domains. We present a outline for ontological knowledge-based image understanding systems and application examples within specific domains such as text recognition and human recognition in order to show the validity of the proposed system.

  • This paper proposes the object modeling algorithm using depth data. In order to extract the shape of the object, surface is classified by the magnitude and the direction of Z gradient within the 2x2 mask from input depth data. For the object combined with several primitives is separated by kernel points. Further, spatial relationship between surface regions is extracted for the recognition. Finally, the effectiveness of this algorithm is demonstrated by several experiments.

  • In this paper, we study the $BP_*$-module structure of $BP_*$(BG) mod $(p,v_1,{\cdots})^2$ for non abelian groups of the order $p^3$. We know $grBP_*(BG)=BP_*{\otimes}H(H_*(BG);Q_1){\oplus}BP^*/(p,v_1){\otimes}ImQ_1$. The similar fact occurs for $BP_*$-homology $grBP_*(BG)=BP_*s^{-1}H(H_*(BG);Q_1){\oplus}BP_*/(p,v)s^{-1}H^{odd}(BG)$ by using the spectral sequence $E^{*,*}_2=Ext_{BP^*}(BP_*(BG),BP^*){\Rightarrow}BP^*(BG)$.

  • The aim of this study is to clarify aesthetic values and sociocultural meanings that reappears in contemporary fashion. In order to analyze aesthetic values and symbolic meanings of body decoration, I examined the concepts and expression methods of the body decoration. Also, analyzed external characteristics of expression and its internal meanings that applied in modern fashion. The expressions of body decoration represented in contemporary fashion are classified into direct and indirect methods. The direct method is expressed by tattoos, piercing, henna, make-up and body painting. And, indirect method is expressed by see-through look, body-conscious look and accessories that were utilized its patterns and the material adaptation methods. Such expression of body decoration in the modern fashion was represented into grotesque images and erotic images. The characteristics of grotesque images are abnormal state, hateful animal image and distorted or transformed body and the internal meanings are the pursuit of primitive, exoticism, the pursuit of playfulness, and resistance. The characteristics of erotic images are an exposure of body, see through, body-conscious and androgynous look and the internal meanings are the self-intoxication, naturalism and sexual pleasure.
