The purpose of this study is to dye hanji/cotton fabrics using persimmon juice and to investigate the change in the hand fabrics. Using the Kawabata Evaluation System, we have examined the changes in the physical properties, primary hand value and total hand value. The dynamic characteristics of hanji/cotton fabrics have been explored by tensile, shear, bending, compression, surface properties, thickness and weight. As a result, it can be seen that the linearity of load-extension and tensile resilience are increased with the increase of the concentration and dyeing times of persimmon juice and tensile energy is decreased in the same condition. These behaviors are shown in the compression properties. Although the mechanism of persimmon juice dyeing has been widely discussed, it means that the fabrics dyed with persimmon juice become stiffened and the elasticity is increased with the introduction of persimmon on the fabrics studied. Bending rigidity and hysteresis of the bending moment are increased with the increase of the concentration and dyeing times of persimmon juice. Also, Geometrical roughness, expressed in SMD is increased with increasing the concentration and dyeing times of persimmon juice, compared with as-received. It indicates that these results are due to the geometric structure of hanji yarn and the introduction of persimmon juice on the fabrics studied. The fullness and softness with the soft feeing are increased a little due to the tannin component of persimmon juice introduced on the fiber surface.
Purpose: To compare clinical characteristics of ganglions in hand & Foot. Materials and Methods: Seventeen cases of ganglions located in foot and fifty-five cases in hand. Excised from Mar.1988 to Apr.2003, were included in the study. The clinical characteristics and recurrence ratio were evaluated Results: The mean size of 2.2 cm in hand and 2.5 cm in foot. The most common area of ganglions are dorsum of foot and wrist. The cosmetic problem of palpable mass is the primary chief complaint of ganglions on hand and the pain is that of foot. The recurrence was found in 5 cases in hand and 4 cases in foot. The recurrence was related to incomplete excision of ganglion in foot and the large size of ganglion and incomplete excision of ganglion in hand. Conclusion: recurrence ratio in the cases of foot is higher than that of hand. The ganglions in foot and hand need to treated by meticulous surgical excision to prevent the recurrence.
Purpose: This study was implemented to investigate perceived illness intrusiveness in stroke patients by the characteristics of primary caregivers. Method: Retrospective cross-sectional survey design was used. The subjects were 225 stroke patients and their primary caregivers. Demographic variables, relationship variables, burden, depression and support were measured as primary caregivers' characteristics. Data were analyzed with SPSS win 14+. T-test, ANOVA and correlation test were used depending on variables. Result: Demographic variables such as age, gender, relation with patients, and living status were not related significantly with illness intrusiveness. But primary caregivers' burden, depression and support were related significantly with perceived illness intrusiveness of stroke patients. That is, burden, depression and quantitative support of primary caregivers were significantly positively correlated with perceived illness intrusiveness of stroke patients. On the other hand, qualitative support was negatively correlated with perceived illness intrusiveness. Conclusion: Primary caregivers' characteristics such as burden, depression and support were found to be correlated with stroke patients perception such as illness intrusiveness. So, it is recommended that nursing intervention targeting burden, depression and support of primary caregivers must be developed to reduce illness intrusiveness of stroke patients.
In acute hand injury, there are sometimes hattened neglected or overlooked vascular injury by primary operators. The authors evaluated the final results and prognosis after secondary revascularization. In eight cases, the authors performed secondary revascularization after prolonged warm ischemia. Five fingers in five cases among them were successfully survived and three cases finally necrosed. The mean warm ischemic time was 56.1 hours. In revascularization procedures, end-to-end artery anastomosis was possible in six cases. In two cases, vein graft was needed to anastomose digital artery, which resulted in complete survival of the fingers. In all three cases, revision amputation of the fingers was done. In acute complex hand injury, the importance of evaluation of the vascular injury can not be overemphasized. The necessity of the early secondary revascularization as well as serious consequence caused by misdiagnosis of vascular injury should be aware.
Mechanical face seal installed in primary heat transport pump used for heavy water reactor prevents leakage of working fluid using thin working fluid film between primary seal ring and mating ring. If the leakage of working fluid exceeds the allowable volume, serious accident can be happened by the trouble of primary heat transport pump. The thinner fluid film exists between primary seal ring and mating ring, the less working fluid leaks out. On the other hand, if the thickness of fluid film is not enough, the life of mechanical face seal will be reduced by friction and wear. Therefore appropriate design is necessary to maximize the performance and life of mechanical face seal. In this study, numerical analysis using finite volume method was conducted to investigate the performance of mechanical face seals which have same deep straight groove and 11 different net coning values. As results, equilibrium clearance between primary seal ring and mating ring, leakage volume of working fluid, friction torque on sealing surface and stiffness of working fluid film were obtained. With increasing net coning value, equilibrium clearance and leakage volume increase, and friction torque and stiffness of fluid film decrease.
The purpose of this study was to statistically evaluate the spacing of primary dentition according to whether or not a space existed and measurement of amount of space in 205 children (male 114, female 91) from 2 to 6 years of age. The results were as follows; 1. In the incidence of interdental space on each region, spacing between the primary lateral incisors and primary canine in maxilla and between the primary canine and 1st primary molar in mandible showed the highest percentage, on the other hand, spacing between the 1st and 2nd primary molars in both jaw showed the lowest percentage. 2. In the kinds of interdental space, the state of primate space and other space together showed the highest percentage, and in the degree of spacing, $S_2$ showed the highest percentage in both jaw. 3. In the incidence of primate space, maxillary primate space showed higher percentage than mandibular primate space in bilateral case. 4. In the type of arch form, spaced arch showed higher percentage than closed arch and about the half of closed arch showed crowding. 5. In both Jaw, available space showed incisor segments, canine segments, and premolar segments in order of amount, and there were not statistically significant differences of sex or jaws in the amount of available space.
Tencel fabrics were treated with NaOH, mechanically prefibrillated, and hydrolyzed by cellulase. Softner was applied to improve hand of the treated Tencel fabrics after prefibrillation and cellulase treatment. Kawabata's Evaluation System for Fabrics(KES-FB) was used to evaluate effects of NaOH pretreatment, prebifrillation, and cellulase and softner treatments on fabric hand of the treated fabrics. Primary hand values of women's medium thick fabrics such as KOSHI, NUMERI, FUKURAMI, and SOFUTOSA, and total hand values were evaluation parameters. As the treatments of prefibrillation, cellulase, and softner progressed, values in bending and shearing properties decreased and softness and elasticity were imparted to the treated fabrics. Specifically, compressional linearity, compressional energy, and thickness of the treated fabrics increased by prefibrillation, providing bulkiness to the treated fabrics. Values indicating surface properties increased owing to fibrils formed by prefibrillation treatment, but removal of fibrils by cellulase treatment enhanced smoothness. As the fabrics were exposed to various treatments such as NaOH pretreatments, prefibrillation, and cellulase and softner treatments, NUMERI, FUKURAMI, SOFUTOSA, and total hand values increased with the exception of KOSHI, Consequently, the treated fabrics became softer, smoother, and more elastic. Especially, the NaOH pretreatment provided superior SOFUTOSA to Tencel fabrics.
Soybean fatty acid, the largest byproduct in the production of soybean oil, was formulated for hand cream, oil in water emulsion base, to improve the suppleness and elasticity of skin. The stability of emulsion observed by a macroscopic method was used as a characteristic index for deciding an optimum formula of hand creams. The optimum formula of the most stable hand cream was obtained from polynomial regression equation, contour graphs and partial derivative graphs. The values of soybean fatty acid and stearyl alcohol in the obtained optimum formula were 9.75 and 14.75 w/w%, respectively, and sodium lauryl sulfate was not needed. Experimental value for the stability of hand cream prepared according to the optimum formula was 76,14 days, and the prediction value by computation method was 73.25 days. From the results of accelerated tests by elevated temperature, the stability of hand cream by optimum formula was 1.7 year at room temperature $(25^{\circ}C)$. The hand cream containing soybean fatty acid was found to be free of primary irritant substance to the skin by Draize technique.
Second-hand trading platforms have emerged as a major transaction method among people, and are particularly quite popular with the MZ Generation (Millennial + Generation Z). These generations are more open to transactions through such platforms. Understanding and analyzing these platforms from the perspective of their primary users can help businesses establish effective marketing strategies and attract new customers. This study examines the effect of second-hand trading platforms on usage intention by dividing the benefits into functional, economic, environmental, social, and hedonic categories for MZ generation consumers who have traded fashion products on such platforms. In addition, it explores how differences in fashion leadership affect the relationship between platform benefits, trust, and attitude. A total of 400 participants were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics 26.0 and IBM AMOS 24.0. The results indicate that the benefits of second-hand trading platforms have a significant impact on trust in and attitude toward these platforms. Furthermore, the effect of platform benefits on consumer responses varied based on the extent of fashion leadership. This study provides practical insights for developing marketing strategies for second-hand transaction platforms and underscores the academic significance of studying consumer behavior in a second-hand fashion markets.
Fibromyalgia syndrome is defined as a diffuse, aching musculoskeletal pain associated with multiple and discrete predictable tender points along with stiffness. A primary form associated without any disease is uncommon compared to the secondary diffuse fibrositis. We witnessed a case of a primary fibromyalgia syndrome. A 28-year-old woman was suffering from pain on posterior neck, right shoulder, upper back, left hand and arm for two years. She also complained of morning stiffness, fatigue, and headache. We treated her with stellate ganglion block with 0.25% bupivacaine, medication that included amitriptyline, TENS and superlizer. We also recommended aerobic exercise.
