ON 𝜙-n-ABSORBING PRIMARY IDEALS OF COMMUTATIVE RINGS

  • All rings are commutative with $1{\neq}0$ and n is a positive integer. Let ${\phi}:{\Im}(R){\rightarrow}{\Im}(R){\cup}\{{\emptyset}\}$ be a function where ${\Im}(R)$ denotes the set of all ideals of R. We say that a proper ideal I of R is ${\phi}$-n-absorbing primary if whenever $a_1,a_2,{\cdots},a_{n+1}{\in}R$ and $a_1,a_2,{\cdots},a_{n+1}{\in}I{\backslash}{\phi}(I)$, either $a_1,a_2,{\cdots},a_n{\in}I$ or the product of $a_{n+1}$ with (n-1) of $a_1,{\cdots},a_n$ is in $\sqrt{I}$. The aim of this paper is to investigate the concept of ${\phi}$-n-absorbing primary ideals.

  • An Experimental study on the NOx formation of LNG flame in fuel staged combustor has been studied. The design concept of multi fuel/air staged combustor is creation of two separate flame, a primary flame is act as a pilot flame for the secondary combustion stage combustion zone, where most of fuel burns. Experiments were performed on a semi-industrial scale (thermal input 0.233 MW) in a laboratory furnace and Liquefied Natural Gas(LNG) was used as primary and secondary fuels. The study included parametric study to identify the optimum operating conditions which are primary/secondary fuel ratio, and primary/secondary air ratio for reducing NOx emission with two types of nozzle. The test demonstrated that NOx emission can be reduced by >70% in accordance with operating conditions.

코하우징에 적용된 커뮤니티 개념의 계획기법에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Planning Skills Applied to the Community Concept in Cohousing)

  • Turning into the 21st century, there are great demands for the diversification of housing style and amenity of housing, which include enhancing community life through proper collective environment. To solve these problems, cohousing has been introduced in Scandinavian countries. A primary goal of cohousing is the desire of residents to live in a socially supportive setting. People can do housework together and also can promote active mutual relationship among residents in the community. Physical feature of cohousing, in combination with social organization factors, nay serve to enhance or support the sense of community sought by residents. In this point of view, the purpose of this study is to consider the characteristics of planning factors applied to the community concept in cohousing. First consideration is to figure out the planning skills on community concept in housing community. Then, by making clear the planning factors on community concept in cohousing through case study, this paper could suggest a possibility of application of cohousing in Korea.

개념도를 이용한 구조적 지식의 조사 연구 -초등학교 평면 도형 단원을 중심으로- (An Analysis on Structural Knowledges by Concept Maps -Focused on Plane Figures in Elementary School-)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate significant differences of structural knowledges among the groups(high, middle, low) when the 6th grade subjects structured the concepts of the plane figures, triangle and quadrangle, by concept maps, and to analyse the features of concept maps according to hierarchy. For this purpose, the following two research contents were investigated: 1. Investigating significant differences of structural knowledge in the concepts of the plane figures using concept maps among the groups(high, middle, low). 2. Analysing the features of concept maps according to hierarchy. The structural knowledges represented on the concept maps of triangle and quadrangle which were drawn by the subjects were analysed by propositions, hierarchies, and cross-links. Subject-self Reports about how to make the concept maps were used to analyse the features of concept maps according to hierarchy. The conclusions drawn from the results were as fellows: First, there were significant differences among the groups in proposition links. Second, there wasn't my significant difference among the groups in hierarchy. Third, there were significant differences among the groups in cross-links, and Fourth, the results of analysing the concept maps by hierarchy showed that there were differences among the individuals in constructing the knowledges.

Counterflow 개념을 이용한 추력벡터 제어에 관한 실험적 및 수치해석적 연구 (Experimental and Computational Studies of the Fluidic Thrust Vector Control Using a Counterflow Concept)

  • Experimental and computational studies were performed to investigate the effectiveness of a thrust vectoring method using a counterflow concept. A shadowgraph method was used to visualize the supersonic jet expanded from a two-dimensional convergent-divergent nozzle and deflected by a now suction. The primary nozzle pressure and suction nozzle pressure ratios are varied between 3.0 and 5.0, and between 0.2 and 1.0 respectively. The present experimental and computational results showed that, for a given primary nozzle pressure ratio, a decrease in the suction nozzle pressure ratio produced an increased thrust vector angle, and during the change processes of the suction pressure, a hysteresis effect of the thrust vectoring was found through the wall pressure distributions.

Innovative Nuclear Power Plant Building Arrangement in Consideration of Decommissioning

  • A new concept termed the Innovative Nuclear Power Plant Building Arrangement (INBA) strategy is a new nuclear power plant building arrangement method which encompasses upfront consideration of more efficient decommissioning. Although existing decommissioning strategies such as immediate dismantling and differed dismantling has the advantage of either early site restoration or radioactive decommissioning waste reduction, the INBA strategy has the advantages of both strategies. In this research paper, the concept and the implementation method of the INBA strategy will be described. Two primary benefits will be further described: (1) early site restoration; and (2) radioactive waste reduction. Several other potential benefits will also be identified. For the estimation of economic benefit, the INBA strategy, with two primary benefits, will be compared with the immediate dismantling strategy. The effect of a short life cycle nuclear power plant in combination with the INBA strategy will be reviewed. Finally, some of the major impediments to the realization of this strategy will be discussed.

ON WEAKLY 2-ABSORBING PRIMARY SUBMODULES OF MODULES OVER COMMUTATIVE RINGS

  • Assume that M is an R-module where R is a commutative ring. A proper submodule N of M is called a weakly 2-absorbing primary submodule of M if $0{\neq}abm{\in}N$ for any $a,b{\in}R$ and $m{\in}M$, then $ab{\in}(N:M)$ or $am{\in}M-rad(N)$ or $bm{\in}M-rad(N)$. In this paper, we extended the concept of weakly 2-absorbing primary ideals of commutative rings to weakly 2-absorbing primary submodules of modules. Among many results, we show that if N is a weakly 2-absorbing primary submodule of M and it satisfies certain condition $0{\neq}I_1I_2K{\subseteq}N$ for some ideals $I_1$, $I_2$ of R and submodule K of M, then $I_1I_2{\subseteq}(N:M)$ or $I_1K{\subseteq}M-rad(N)$ or $I_2K{\subseteq}M-rad(N)$.

  • Let R be a commutative ring with 1 ≠ 0. Let Id(R) be the set of all ideals of R and let δ : Id(R) → Id(R) be a function. Then δ is called an expansion function of the ideals of R if whenever L, I, J are ideals of R with J ⊆ I, then L ⊆ δ (L) and δ (J) ⊆ δ (I). Let δ be an expansion function of the ideals of R and m ≥ n > 0 be positive integers. Then a proper ideal I of R is called an (m, n)-closed δ-primary ideal (resp., weakly (m, n)-closed δ-primary ideal ) if am ∈ I for some a ∈ R implies an ∈ δ(I) (resp., if 0 ≠ am ∈ I for some a ∈ R implies an ∈ δ(I)). Let f : A → B be a ring homomorphism and let J be an ideal of B. This paper investigates the concept of (m, n)-closed δ-primary ideals in the amalgamation of A with B along J with respect to f denoted by A ⋈f J.

  • A computer program called LAMPRO has been developed for use by the Australian meat industry to assist with the pricing of lamb carcasses. Based on a series of prediction equations and accounting for the cost structure of a meat processor the program allows the real value of a carcass to be established. The concept has also been extended to cater for mutton carcasses destined for either domestic or export markets incorporated in a program called MUTONPRO.

Thrust Performance Improvement of a Linear Induction Motor

  • The end effect of a linear induction motor (LIM) has been known for several decades, especially in high speed operation. The exit part of the primary is not dealt as extensively as the entry part because of its minor effect. However, the exit part is one of the keys to weaken the dolphin effect, which occurs in high speed operation. In this paper, the concept of the virtual primary core is introduced, and chamfering of the primary outlet teeth is proposed to minimize the longitudinal end effect at the exit zone. For this, LIM for the high-speed train is designed and analyzed by using finite element method. Results confirm that chamfering can improve thrust performance effectively.
