가격비교사이트 평가기준의 중요도와 만족도 분석 (Perceived Importance and Satisfaction of Evaluation Criteria of the Price Comparison Website)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the criteria of evaluating a price-comparison website, and to investigate the consumers' perceived importance and satisfaction of each criterion. Also, it compared both the importance and satisfaction levels based on consumers' socio-economic and Internet-usage characteristics. Data for this study came from a questionnaire completed by consumers (n=417), who had used the price-comparison website, and were analyzed through factor analysis, t-test, and ANOVA. The findings of the study were as follows: First, the evaluation criteria of the price-comparison website were categorized into five variety of information, accuracy, convenience, credibility, and the website system. Second, convenience of searching information was seen by consumers as both the most important and most satisfactory criterion. Variety of information was also considered important. For most of the evaluation criteria, the level of consumers' satisfaction was significantly lower than the level of consumers' recognized importance. Third, consumers in their 20s, students, and housewives were less likely to be satisfied by the price-comparison website overall. Older people were less likely to be satisfied with the convenience of the website, and the higher-income group was less likely to be satisfied with the variety of information on hand.

웹 로그 데이터를 이용한 온라인 소비자의 가격민감도 영향 요인에 관한 연구 (Determinants of Online Price Sensitivity Using Web Log Data)

  • This paper empirically analyzed consumer price search behavior using Web log data of a Korean web site for price comparison. Consumer click-stream data of the site was used to test the effects of price level, product category, third party certification, reputation of retailers on click behavior. According to the descriptive statistics, 67.4% of shopbot users clicked the offer which was the lowest price returned in a search. We found that third party certification and reputation of retailers were significant determinants of clicking the lowest priced offer from legit analysis. We also applied Tobit regression analysis to estimate the price premium of the two determinants, but only reputation of retailers was found to have price premium of 4.9%.

Sentiment Shock and Housing Prices: Evidence from Korea

  • This study examines the impact of sentiment shock, which is defined as a stochastic innovation to the Housing Market Confidence Index (HMCI) that is orthogonal to past housing price changes, on aggregate housing price changes and housing price volatility. This paper documents empirical evidence that sentiment shock has a statistically significant relationship with Korea's aggregate housing price changes. Specifically, the key findings show that an increase in sentiment shock predicts a rise in the aggregate housing price and a drop in its volatility at the national level. For the Seoul Metropolitan Region (SMR), this study also suggests that sentiment shock is positively associated with one-month-ahead aggregate housing price changes, whereas an increase in sentiment volatility tends to increase housing price volatility as well. In addition, the out-of-sample forecasting exercises conducted here reveal that the prediction model endowed with sentiment shock and sentiment volatility outperforms other competing prediction models.

An Exploratory Study on the Effect of Price as an Anchor on Willingness-to-pay: Anchoring-and-adjustment or Selective Accessibility

  • The two competing underlying mechanisms of anchoring, anchoring-and-adjustment and selective accessibility, have very different managerial implications for the effect of price as an anchor on willingness-to-pay (WTP). To clarify their relative roles in inducing the anchoring effect, path analysis modeling in which two paths are included in a single model was utilized. The first path proceeds directly from anchor price to WTP, representing anchor-and-adjustment. The second path, representing selective accessibility, includes a mediator formed by various explanatory variables of WTP. The results consistently show that only the direct path, anchoring-and-adjustment, is significant. The results also show that the level of available product information has no significant moderation effect on both of the paths, which implies the robustness of the result with respect to information level.

밀양 깻잎 농업의 총소득 극대화를 위한 적정 생산 규모 전망 (Prediction of Optimal Production Level for Maximizing Total Profit in Miryang Sesame Leaf Cultivation)

  • 본 연구는 경남 밀양 깻잎 농업의 수급 및 가격 모형을 개발하고 정책 실험을 통해 밀양 깻잎 생산 농가의 총 소득을 극대화하는 적정 생산 규모를 전망한다. 분석 자료는 밀양 깻잎 농업의 총 소득과 관련된 22개년 시계열 자료(1996~2017년)가 이용되었다. 분석 방법은 수요 함수와 평균 비용 함수 추정을 통하여 적정 생산량과 가격을 산출하고 이를 통해 적정 소득을 도출하였다. 또한, 시나리오 분석을 통하여 2030년까지 예상되는 밀양 깻잎 최적 생산량과 이에 해당하는 판매 가격, 총 수입, 총 비용, 총 소득을 전망하였다. 밀양 깻잎 생산 농가 전체를 대상으로 총 소득을 극대화하기 위해서는 2017년에 7천 톤 규모인 밀양 깻잎 생산량을 2030년까지 10~12.5천 톤으로 증가시킬 필요가 있다. 이 경우 밀양 깻잎 농업에 귀속되는 총 소득은 133~213억 원 수준으로 전망된다. 앞으로 밀양 깻잎 생산자 단체는 본 연구에서 제시한 적정 생산 규모를 유지하여 농가에게 귀속하는 총 소득을 증대시키도록 노력해야 할 것이다.

A Mathematical Analysis on Daily Inventory Clearance Pricing with Consumer's Reference Price

  • This paper discusses a clearance pricing on daily perishable products considering a reference price of consumers. The daily perishable products are sometimes sold at a discount price before closing time to stimulate demand when the number of unsold products is more than initially envisioned. The discount pricing results both in an increase of the revenue of the day and in a decrease of the disposal cost. The discounting, however, also declines a reference price of consumers which is a mental price and serves as an anchor price to judge if a current sales price is loss or gain for the consumers. An excess discounting decreases the demand for the products sold at a regular price in the future and diminishes long-term profit. This study conducts a mathematical analysis on the clearance pricing problem for a single period with stochastic variations both on demand and on the inventory level at clearance time. The expected profit function especially depends on the response of consumers to the clearing price against their reference prices. A procedure is proposed to derive an optimal clearance price when consumers are loss-neutral. A sufficient condition is shown to obtain an optimal price for loss-averse and loss-seeking consumers by an analogous procedure.

서비스 명성에 따른 준거가격광고 효과 (Effects of Reference Price Advertisements by Service Reputation)

  • 경제적 환경의 변화와 인터넷 등의 다양한 유통경로 등장으로 인해 경쟁이 심화되면서 가격은 아주 강력한 마케팅 수단이 되고 있다. 이에 따라 가격할인 등의 가격전략을 통해 소비자의 구매행동을 강화하는 현상을 볼 수 있는데, 많은 광고에서 가격할인 정보를 제시하면서 준거가격을 함께 제시하는 전략을 활발하게 사용하고 있다. 이에 따라 많은 연구들이 준거가격제시에 따른 광고효과를 검증하였는데, 본 연구에서는 기존의 제품에 한정된 준거가격 연구에서 확장하여 서비스 경우에 준거가격을 제시함에 따른 효과를 검증하고, 서비스의 명성에 따라 준거가격제시 방법에 따른 광고효과의 차이를 검증한다. 서비스의 명성과 준거가격제시 방법에 따른 실험을 설계하여 분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 서비스 광고에서 준거가격을 제시하는 경우에 가격태도 및 이용의도가 높은 것으로 나타났는데, 서비스 명성이 높은 경우에는 준거가격을 제시하는 것 보다 할인율을 표시하는 것이 더 효과가 높으며, 서비스 명성이 낮은 경우에는 준거가격 제시만으로 광고효과가 높아짐을 볼 수 있다. 이를 통해 서비스 경우에는 그 명성에 따라 준거가격을 제시하는 방법과 관련한 전략적 관점이 필요함을 알 수 있다.

미술작가의 최종학력, 출신학교 및 성별이 작품 판매 여부와 작품 판매 가격에 미치는 영향: 아트페어 마니프 시장을 중심으로 (The Effects of Artists' Education Level, College of Graduation and Gender on Art Sales Possibility and Art Price: Focusing on MANIF Art Fair Market)

  • 국내외 미술시장의 규모가 성장하면서 미술품 가격요인에 관한 다양한 연구들이 이루어졌지만 미술품 가격에 영향을 미치는 중요한 요인으로 작용하는 작가 프리미엄에 대한 실증 연구는 상대적으로 미진했다. 본 연구는 국내 아트페어 중 2010년 마니프(MANIF)에 출품한 작가를 대상으로 작가 프리미엄을 결정짓는 요인 중 학력수준과 출신대학 그리고 성별이 출품 작품의 판매 여부와 작품 가격에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 이를 위해 통제변수로는 미술품의 장르, 규격, 그리고 미술은행 소장여부를 포함시켰다. 그 결과 상위권 대학 출신 작가가 하위권 대학 출신 작가에 비해 유의하게 판매 성사 실적과 판매 가격이 높았으며, 남성이 여성에 비해 판매 가격이 높았던 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 몇 가지 시사점을 제시하고 있는데, 첫째, 일반적인 예상과 같이 상위권 대학 출신 작가는 작가 프리미엄을 갖는다는 것이고, 둘째, 예상과는 달리 작가의 최종학력은 작가의 프리미엄에 반영되지 않는다는 것이다. 성별 효과가 부분적으로나마(판매 여부에서는 존재하지 않지만 판매 가격에서) 존재한다는 것은 아직도 한국의 미술 시장에서는 남성 작가 프리미엄이 남아 있다는 것을 시사한다.

The Effect of Price Dispersion and Product Information on Consumer Product Attitude in Informediary

  • Infomediary, playing an important role in e-commerce, provides refined a product information and the price dispersion of product. This paper use the elaboration likelihood model to explain how level of involvement with a product moderates the impact of price dispersion and product information quality on product attitude. The study produces three major findings : (1) the quality of product information produced by infomediary has a positive effect on consumers' product attitude, (2) For low-involvement consumer, price dispersion of product positively affect consumers' product attitude. For high-involvement consumer, negatively affect, (3) low-involvement consumer are affected by the price dispersion rather than the quality of product information, but high-involvement consumer are affect by price dispersion mainly when the quality of product is low. These finding have implications for on-line infomediaries in terms of how to manage their users.

노르웨이 신선·냉장 연어의 한국 수출가격에 대한 FTA 관세 철폐 영향 분석 (An Analysis of the Impact of FTA Tariff Elimination on the Export Price of Norwegian Fresh and Chilled Salmon to Korea)

  • This study analyzed the impact of FTA tariff elimination on the export prices for Norwegian fresh and chilled salmon, of which Korean import has significantly increased since the Korea-EFTA FTA implementation. Korea's fresh and chilled salmon market is almost monopolized by Norway, and Korea's price level is higher than other countries, so it is highly likely that price discrimination occurs. This study theoretically explained that exporters could adjust their prices by market power when tariffs are eliminated in imperfectly competitive markets. And the empirical analysis provided evidence that the exporters have made price adjustments since the FTA took effect, and similar results were found in the relative price comparison with trade statistics and Nasdaq Salmon Index. Therefore, in order to increase consumer welfare in Korean salmon market, it is required to transform the monopolistic market structure into a competitive one.
