This study conducted a survey on sexuality for the purpose of substantial verification, focusing on literature reviews of premarital sexuality. The Literature reviews included relevant studies of our society and its cultures such as premarital sexuality and behaviors, expressions of love or intimacy, contraception, abortion, sex education and sexuality in family contexts. The survey was conducted to 355 university students and 200 working premarital adults in Seoul, Gyeonggi and Gangwon areas. It has 21 questions to measure sexuality by sexual altitude sentence completion Scale (composed of 4 categories and options of the other items)which has been widely used by professional counsel institutes. Male and female students complete the sentence of this scale, then similar contents were classified. Love type test was developed by Hendrick & Hendrick (1986) was used to measure love and intimacy. Results from the sentence completion for sexuality attitudes are generally as follows: First of all, there was clear difference in male md female responses about each categories. For example, With regard to the questions on premarital sex with opposite sex friends of long time relationship, more than half of male students said it is all right, whereas more than half of female students answered to the same questions that it can never be possible, with many answering 'I don't know', or leaving them unanswered. The survey result, masturbation answered that Female is needed however many Females actually don't it. But Male is almost necessary and conduct himself. On questions regarding, Homosexuality is both male and Female answered opposed. These results of the study show that premarital adults clearly open to issues on sexuality compared with the past, but they have not established their own sexual identity, which can be seen with big gap between male and female perspectives, due to experiencing confusion under the changing environment of the society.

The premarital education program to help unmarried or premarital couples to begin initial adaptation for successful marriage. Particularly the elevated marital relationship. The data were collected for 122 collage students. The data were analyzed by statistical methods such as frequency percentage. The purpose of this research was conducted to formative processes and to interpret premarital adult's sexuality meaning. The interviews have been executed based upon ethnography approach and method of interview in depth within the framework of the Weis's sexual script theory (1998) and parent-children relation. The interview in depth has been conducted with unmarried 7 males and 8 females inclusive of college students, total 15 persons who were born 1974-1980 and living in Seoul and nearby suburban areas. A period of interviews were carried out from September until December 2003. Each interview was executed for 2 to 4 hours apiece, and each person had 2 to 4 interviews during the period. The result of analysis of the sexuality scripts theory from three different views indicates that the female informants appeared to rationalize the fact that traditional concept of the chastity as defined by the socio-cultural level has been changed. It also indicated that there were very few sex educations in the society at large except for the public medias including the Internet. The interrelation level indicates that positive interaction with the opposite sex has affected them in the course of their building up desirable personal relationship in the society and uplifting their sense of self-esteem. The internal level of sexuality, it is much dependent on the extent of individual inner recognition of sexuality. The parent-children relation view of sexuality, the most influential factor for their communication on sexuality lies in the extent of their realization on how positively their parents recognize their children.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to confirm the effects of lectures on sexuality and investigate changes in students' sexual knowledge and consciousness. Method: The subjects in this study were 50 students at K University in Busan, and the research period was from the $8^{th}$ of March to the $7^{th}$ of June 2004. This study was designed to be one-group pretest-posttest. Data were analyzed by frequencies, percentages, means, standard deviations, paired t-test and $x^2$-test using the SPSS 10.0 program. Results: 1. The score of sexual knowledge increased from 14.48 before the education to 15.70 after and the difference was statistically significant (t=3.926, p<.001). 2. Significant differences of sexual consciousness were observed in 'the extent of sexual behavior' ($x^2$=12.584, p<.05), 'the meaning of intercourse' ($x^2$=46.014, p<.001), 'the self attitude of premarital purity' ($x^2$=84.686, p<.001), 'the premarital intercourse' ($x^2$=75.323, p<.001), 'the definition of purity' ($x^2$=23.770, p<.001), 'the general premarital purity attitude' ($x^2$=32.305, p<.001), 'the conception of love, sex and marriage' ($x^2$=38.452, p<.001) and 'the premarital sex experiences' ($x^2$=50.210, p<.001). Conclusions: This study showed that a sexuality course has effects on increasing sexual knowledge and changing the consciousness in university students.
This study focused on the gender differences in the impact of a premarital educational program as an elective course at a university. Six hundred university students who were enrolled in the course "Family and Marriage" at a university in Pusan were surveyed for this study The students completed the survey questionnaire about attitudes toward marriage, family, love, spouse, sexuality and gender-roles, before and after the course. The data were analyzed by correlation, 1-test, two-Way ANOVA. The results showed, first of all, there was no significant impact of the education on the students′ attitudes on marriage and family, when gender was not introduced as a factor. However, looking closely, there was an interaction between gender and the attitudes in the impact of the education. As a result, the gender gap in terms of the attitudes toward marriage and the family that existed before the course was reduced after the course. Also, there were gender differences in the attitudes toward love, spouse, sexuality, and gender-roles before and after the course, and there were significant impacts of the course for both genders, albeit in different directions.
This study investigated 1) actual rates of sexual intercourse and relating variables among college students and workers and 2) the trend of premarital sexual attitudes. Data for 538 were used Reiss' Premarital Sexual Permissiveness Scale question are. The purpose of this study is to develop and to evaluate the premarital preparation education program based on the integrated approach of family relation and resource management to attempt to reduce marital distress. Using a combination of previous premarital education program and survey result of educational need, it is consisted of 4 sessions (session 1: Meaning and expectation of the marriage, session 2: Couple Communication, session 3: Love and Sexuality, session 4: Family Life Planning) The result of the evaluation, the efficiency of this premarital preparation program was proved. In the 11 couples evaluation data, those who had taken premarital education program were more likely to satisfied program and more likely to invite the others to join this program. When asked what content areas were most helpful, the two top ranking went to the Couple Communication (41.9% rated as helpful), and Family Life Planning (35.5% rated as helpful).
The purpose of this study was to develop a sexuality education program for early adolescents. The overall goals of the program were to not only increase knowledge and skirts, but also to improve the awareness of healthy sex in order to promote premarital abstinence, parent-teen communication and parental awareness of the importance of parental roles and responsibilities in prevention of sexual problems of the early adolescent. The program consisted of six sessions: puberty changes during adolescence, the meaning of sexuality, sexual drives in dating relationships, understanding of the risks associated with early sexual involvement and support for postponing sexual activities, managing and avoiding sexually risky situations, the importance of communications with parents about issues related to sexuality. The program evaluation had three steps: pre-test, immediate post-test and two month follow-up post test. The results showed that the program had a significantly positive effect on the improvement of adolescent's knowledge about sex, and attitudes and behaviors toward sex, particularly in the immediate post-test. At the two month follow-up assessment, the effect of the program still remained strong, though there was a sight and partial reduction which was not statistically significant. Most of the program participants expressed a high level of satisfaction with the program. Parental involvement appeared to be effective as well. Recommendations for further study include: to re-evaluate the curriculum for various other participants. In addition, further study which would compare post-test results of these participants with a comparison group of peers who did not receive the program would be valuable. The author believes that the program can be used in implementing specific subjects (sessions) in new settings, as well as implementing the entire package of the program.
The researcher looked at the differences in views and various controversies surrounding Korean youth sexuality education in the wake of the Nth Room incident, which had a great impact on modern Korean society. Sex education for adolescents in Korea can be divided into public sex education through school sex education and the Youth Sexuality Center, and conservative/traditional Protestant sex education. Public sex education is partly influenced by feminist sexual ethics and comprehensive sex education abroad. Based on gender sensitivity and the right to sexual self-determination, four major projects are prevention of sexual harassment, prostitution, sexual violence, and domestic violence. However, the school sex education standard was criticized for stereotypes of gender roles and gender-discriminatory content, reinforced distorted myths about sexual violence, and exclusion of sexual diversity and various family types. Conservative/traditional Protestantism is based on the normal family ideology such as bisexual marriage, premarital chastity, and sexual ethics recognized only within marital relationships. It is a form of confrontation with public sex education while strongly opposing it. The researcher first analyzed the characteristics of public sex education, conservative/traditional Protestant sexual ethics and sex education, feminist sex ethics and sex education, and overseas youth sex education, respectively, while composing the curriculum for Korean youth sexuality education.
