Developing a recommendation system for e-newspaper articles through personalizing digital contents

  • This study presented a personalization system that adopted a methodology which is applicable for digital content recommendation and executed by the Internet service providers. The system made a recommendation to the users on the basis of their preferences, while most techniques for recommending digital content have focused on considering the similarity of content. In addition, it developed a method of evaluation to determine the priority of recommendations and adopted measures when selecting a set of recommendations. To experiment the feasibility and effectiveness of the presented methodology, a prototype system was developed and was applied to an English newspaper on the Internet.

The Relationship between the Sugar Preference of Bacterial Pathogens and Virulence on Plants

  • Plant pathogenic bacteria colonize plant surfaces and inner tissues to acquire essential nutrients. Nonstructural sugars hold paramount significance among these nutrients, as they serve as pivotal carbon sources for bacterial sustenance. They obtain sugar from their host by diverting nonstructural carbohydrates en route to the sink or enzymatic breakdown of structural carbohydrates within plant tissues. Despite the prevalence of research in this domain, the area of sugar selectivity and preferences exhibited by plant pathogenic bacteria remains inadequately explored. Within this expository framework, our present review endeavors to elucidate the intricate variations characterizing the distribution of simple sugars within diverse plant tissues, thus influencing the virulence dynamics of plant pathogenic bacteria. Subsequently, we illustrate the apparent significance of comprehending the bacterial preference for specific sugars and sugar alcohols, postulating this insight as a promising avenue to deepen our comprehension of bacterial pathogenicity. This enriched understanding, in turn, stands to catalyze the development of more efficacious strategies for the mitigation of plant diseases instigated by bacterial pathogens.

무선 인터넷 환경에서 단말에 최적화된 WBMP 이미지 변환기 구현 (An Implementation of WBMP Image Converter suitable for a Terminal in Wireless Internet Environment)

  • 본 논문에서는 이동단말에 최적화된 서비스를 제공하기 위한 이동단말의 정보 이용방법과 무선선로상의 제약 및 무선 단말기의 제한된 자원으로 좀더 효율적인 무선 인터넷 서비스를 제공하기 위한 WBMP(Wireless BitMaP) 변환기의 설계 및 구현에 대하여 기술한다. 이동단말의 정보는 CC/PP(Composite Capabilities/Preferences Profiles) 또는 WSP(Wireless Session Protocol) 헤더로부터 알아낼 수 있으며 이 정보를 이용하여 WBMP 변환기는 기존의 이미지를 이동단말에 가장 적절한 WBMP 이미지로 변환한다. 그러나 컬러 이미지를 변환하는 경우 이동단말이 가지는 제약에 의해 이미지 정보가 손실되거나 왜곡될 수 있으며, 현재 무선환경에서 지원되는 0/1 형식의 WBMP 이미지로는 각 단말의 자원을 최대한 활용할 수 없다. 따라서 향후 그레이-레벨 또는 컬러 이미지로의 변환 기능이 추가 구현되어야 한다.

Development of strategies to manufacture low-salt meat products - a review

  • Urbanization is usually followed by changes in eating habits, with a specific trend toward the consumption of ready-to-eat products, such as processed foods. Among the latter, meat products are known contributors to high dietary sodium owing to salt addition. Salt plays an essential role in maintaining the quality of meat products in terms of acceptability and safety. However, an excessive salt intake is linked to high blood pressure and cardiovascular diseases. Hence, several studies have been competing for the discovery of salt alternatives performing in a similar way as common salt. A number of replacements have been proposed to reduce salt consumption in meat products while taking into account consumer preferences. Unfortunately, these have resulted in poorer product quality, followed by new adverse effects on health. This review addresses these recent issues by illustrating some established approaches and providing insight into further challenges in developing low-salt meat products.

  • 본 연구는 간호대학생들의 임종치료선호도에 영향을 미치는 요인을 확인하기 위해 수행되었다. 이 조사 연구는 2017년 12월부터 2018년 2월까지 수행되었으며, 최종 217명의 간호대학생의 자료가 수집되었다. '자율적 의사결정' 선호도에 영향을 미치는 요인은 교육수준(학년), 생명의료윤리 교육 수강, 죽음에 대한 태도, 연명치료에 대한 태도였다. '의료인의 의사결정'에 대한 선호도는 종교를 가지는 것과 관련이 있었다. '영성'에 대한 선호도에 영향을 미치는 요인은 교육수준(학년), 종교를 가짐, 전공만족도였다. '통증 조절'에 대한 선호도는 교육수준(학년), 사망한 환자 관찰경험, 나쁜 주관적 건강상태, 죽음에 대한 태도, 연명치료에 대한 태도와 관련이 있었다. 본 연구 결과는 간호학 전공 커리큘럼에서 연명치료, 생애말기간호 및 생애말기 의사결정에 관한 교육이 필수적임을 시사한다.

한우고기 육질등급 선호도에 따른 구매성향 특성 분석연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Purchasing Propensity by Preferences Quality Grade of Hanwoo Beef)

  • 쇠고기 소비트랜드는 소비자 요구와 선호도 등에 따라 변화하고 있다. 본 연구는 한우고기 구매 소비자를 대상으로 구매성향 및 선호도 조사를 통해 쇠고기 등급제 보완방향에 대한 기초자료를 수집하였다. 조사대상자는 2017년 7월 24일부터 8월 14일에 걸쳐 서울, 경기도 및 5대 광역시에 거주하는 소비자를 대상으로 조사를 수행하였고, 무응답 등을 제외하고 최종 362명 데이터를 분석에 이용하였다. 위계적 회귀분석 결과 1등급 선호집단의 구매빈도 증가에는 마블링 형태가, 1+등급에서는 지방색이, 1++등급에서는 소득, 등급제 개선 의견, 마블링 함량, 마블링 형태가 각각 정의 영향(+)을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 반면, 선호등급이 없는 집단에서는 구매빈도 증가에 영향을 미치는 변수는 없는 것으로 분석되었다. 종합적으로 살펴볼 때 구매빈도 증가에 영향을 미치는 변수들이 집단별로 다른 것으로 분석되었는데, 소도체 등급기준은 축산농가 및 산업체의 경제적 이익과 소비자 구매력에 직접적으로 연관되어 있어 매우 중요한 제도이기 때문에 생산자와 소비자 의견을 적절하게 반영하여 합리적이고 과학적인 방향으로 앞으로도 보완되어야 할 것으로 생각된다.

The Research on Herb and Its Allocation Form in Landscape

  • In order to provide a scientific foundation for herb application in landscape, the photographs were taken from the herb landscape in urban green space and sightseeing garden. The questionnaire-based survey was also applied to analyze the cognitive situation of herb. Most investigators love herb, but have a low level of herb; Interviewees' consideration of herb function lie in ornamental, healthcare and medical treatment; The bulk of the visitors think herb landscape is insufficient; Investigators' preferences for herb application forms are landscape edging and combining with stone. We also probe into the optimum allocation form combining herb with landscape elements. When we combine herb with landscape water or landscape architecture, artistic conception and reasonable plant allocation should be considered; When we combine herb with landscape path or garden ornament, reasonable plant disposition and appearance and practical collocation should be thought over; When we combine herb with flower-border, richly colored landscape and reasonable plant allocation should be deliberated on.

  • The number of domestic smartphone users exceeded 30 million people, and the time in the future everyone will use a smartphone that will come with ago. Past purchase decisions, related research and product from the competition between the past case and the relevant literature for the smartphone market smartphone type to derive a purchase decision factors in the decision to purchase any difference between the factors. Literature and practices through performance, switching costs, product loyalty, design, brand, after-sales service, the price more than 7 variables were analyzed. One hundred people surveyed, respectively, did not obtain the response of a variety of ages and occupations, age of the sample used in the analysis of this study, and is concentrated as a student at the university of smartphones used to facilitate users analysis was done. We expect smartphone companies and related companies to be able to give guidelines for effective technology management.

  • We developed a similar product recommendation system for implementing a collaborative commerce model between the cooperating companies. The system is based on a similar product finding algorithm. The main idea of the proposed algorithm is using a multi-attribute decision making(MADM) to find the utility values of products in same product class of the companies. Based on the values we determine what products are similar. The system helps the companies to recommend products in accordance with the customer's preferences regarding product specifications.

장례 복식 문화에 관한 기초연구 (A Pilot Study on the Funereal Garments Culture)

  • The purpose of this study was to revoke attention to the funeral costumes which has been neglected by academic fields and fashion industries. We investigated the traditional funeral garments by the literature reviews and the actual conditions by the questionnaire. For the data analysis, 525 questionnaires for male and female in Seoul, Daeagu, Jeonju and Busan were collected. Men mainly wore the western style black suits, women wore the traditional white funeral costumes during the funeral service. Most of the respondents were dissatisfied with the funeral garments. We investigated the styles, the materials and the colors of the funeral garments which were favored by the consumers. The preferences and the criteria of the funeral garments were different with sex, age, income, educational levels, religion and occupational status of husband partly.
