This study was conducted in order to better understand the local and specialty foods of the Yeong-ju region. This study provides basic data for new menu development and commercialization. The results of 384 surveys, which were conducted to determine traditional rice cake production methods and their traits, were analyzed. Samgyetang was ranked top in the survey on recognition, public interest, and frequency of the local foods. Dakjuk was ranked second, followed by Baechujeon and Bopguk, in order. The levels of recognition and preference of specialty foods were in the order of hasuo, peach, apple, and meat. Among the answers in the survey on the popularization and commercialization of local foods, changing of the cooking style for younger generations' taste was considered to be the most important. Holding events to promote regional specialty foods and initiate the public to traditional cooking styles were listed sequentially by importance. The survey results show that promotion of local foods through education, and as well as incorporation of new ingredients are both highly effective ways to commercialize local foods for tourism. The results also indicate that taste, nutrition, and appearance of food should be considered in order to improve quality.
This study intended to construct the brand switching matrix in the Korean casual wear market and to analyze it in various aspects. 1,014 sample data were collected in Seoul area, a center of fashion retailing. Since the respondents cited over 200 brand names as their last 2 purchased casual wear brands, 15 most frequently-purchased brands were selected for constructing the brand switching matrix. As a result of the examination, it was founded that the brand loyalty was dominant rather than brand switching in the casual wear market. Polo was identified as the leading brand in the market. Its brand equity, which was comprised of brand recognition, brand preference (loyalty), perceived quality, and brand association, was evaluated very high. Especially, the strength of Polo was the consumer's strong preference and the brand image of simplicity, naturalness, and neatness. After combining 15 brands into 6 groups based on the style and price, additional interpretation was performed on this 'trend switching matrix.' A transition of fashion trend in casual wear was observed. Applying the brand switching matrix on fashion products gave us much insight to the market.
This study analyzed the willingness to pay for meal kit products of Millefeuille Nabe and Gambas al-Ahiyo, and willingness to pay and purchase intentions according to various characteristics to suggest a meal kit marketing strategy that reflected consumer preference. It was found that the price of meal kits is higher than the price of individual ingredients and lower than the price of meal kits in the current market. The willingness to pay for Millefeuille Nabe is higher in the group that pursues quality and taste, and the more satisfied with the certification system, the higher their willingness to pay for both Millefeuille Nabe and Gambas al-Ahiyo. In addition, the higher the satisfaction with the pleasure, taste, and price of the meal kit, the higher the intention to purchase in the future. Therefore, to increase the willingness to pay and purchases intentions in the future, the quality of meal kit ingredients must be carefully revised and supplemented, and various products are developed and reflected in the marketing strategy.
As times change rapidly the lifestyle, personality, and values of men have changed diversely. Not only have preferences for men's clothing changed, men's fashion market has also grown, and novel, non-preexisting styles have come into place. Also, there are many studies on sensibility of women's fashion while studies on sensibility of men's fashion are insufficient. This study categorized common styles for men in their 20s into 7 different representative samples and investigated consumers' sensibility evaluations for each representative sample. Style 1 (suit), style 2 (rider jacket + skinny pants), style 3 (blouson + straight pants), style 4 (cardigan + half pants), style 5 (military jacket + straight pants), style 6 (loose fit jacket + skinny pants), and style 7 (baseball jumper + straight pants) were prepared in the evaluation questionnaire. The study compared male and female interest and knowledge of men's fashion, evaluated the sensibility difference depending on the men's fashion, analyzed whether there is a difference between preferred men's clothing and actual wearing of the clothing, and examined the preferred style in relation with the lifestyle. The results are as follows: First, men's fashion was diversified and subdivided, and interest and knowledge about men's fashion was greater for males than females. Second, sensibility of men's fashion had significant differences depending on the style, and it did not depend on genders. Third, there was a clear difference between the most favored style by the 20s and the actual style they commonly wear; the favored style and the actual worn style were consistent 66.1% of all the cases, inconsistent 33.9% of those. Style 3 had the highest preference and the actual wearing rate, and style 5 was the least preferred and worn. Fourth, the more extroverted lifestyle rather than introverted one, the more it was likely to prefer diverse styles.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate prevalence and ecological characteristics of excessive television viewing among elementary school students in Seoul. Methods: Secondary data, representative sample of 11,082 subjects in Seoul was used. After prevalence of the excessive television viewing was identified by using factor analysis, 6 main factors explaining the ecological indicators was founded. After identifying prevalence of the excessive television viewing, by using factor analysis, we found 6 main factors explaining the ecological indicators. After categorizing factors into socio-psychological and lifestyle characteristics, we were investigated the odds ratio of excessive television viewing per characteristics by using multiple logistic regression. Results: The prevalence of excessive television viewing was 29.7% among the elementary school student in Seoul. The prevalence were higher in male, higher grade, and non-South of the Han River. Socio-psychological indicators which expressed excessive television viewing were annoying or bullying, scolding from teacher, depressed mode, thought for a runaway from home, an experience of diet, and negative body image. Life style indicators were a lower intake of fruit and vegetables, a higher intake of Ramyun and soft drink, a worse life style of hand washing, and wearing safety equipment. Conclusion: Lifestyle of television viewing was the comprehensive results from family, school, and society rather than a personal preference. Therefore, it is necessary to educate the hazard of excessive television viewing, to reenforce the students' health competence, to activate a safe leisure program as an alternate of television viewing, and to develop a recommendation.
This study was to investigate eating behaviors and food preferences of the worker at transportation business in Daegu areas by work site. The survey was performed by questionnaires from July 13 to August 25, 1999 against 353 of males. As a general factor, the subjects of survey were male drivers in their forties to fifties. Their education level was middle school (46.5%) and high school (47.3%) diploma. The subjects were composed of 44.2% of city workers and 55.5% of suburban workers. This study showed that the city workers eat three meals per day with high percentage (92.9%) and a large number of suburban workers (21.3%) eat two meals only. Most of the subjects 782.% responded that their diet life were irregular due to the property of their job. The food preferences of most of workers (94.9%) were Korean food rather than any other foods. Frequency of eating-out was much higher in city drivers than in suburban drivers. They considered taste of food firstly and the prices of food secondly, but the nutritional value of food was considered with a very low percentage (14.7%). Their favorite menu turned out to be the Korean style one-dish food, of those one-dish Koran food, they preferred rice or soup to the noodles. These results suggest that he nutritional education against the workers at transportation business is needed to set the proper menu considering the characteristics of the preference each group of workers.
This study has investigated psychological responses to various TV advertisements by using EEG(electroencephalogram). In particular, it was assumed that the brain wave would show different patterns depending upon the style of the advertisement that could be categorized into two such as 'information transfer' type and 'emotional reaction' type. Ten healthy males participated in the experiment. EEG signal was extracted from six lobes such as right and left frontal, right and left occipital, right and left temporal while the subjects were watching TV advertisements. Alpha and beta relative power spectrum, and beta/alpha parameter were calculated to compare two kinds of advertisement each other. Additionally, subjective questionnaire was used to examine subject's response by using adjective words and preference test. In result, significant differences were found in left frontal and right occipital lobe in terms of beta/alpha between two different advertisements. And, subjects showed different preference between two advertisements. It was shown that the current method could analyze the brain reaction to advertisement quantitatively, that presented the possibility of using it to marketing research.
3D printing is attracting attention from all industries as it enables the development of personalized product design to meet consumer needs by establishing a mutual connection system between production, management and consumers. However, there are still limitations to applying them as apparel materials, and research on the recognition of 3D printing or the preference for fashion products is needed to actually commercialize 3D printing in the fashion industry. In this study on the development of various product designs using 3D printing technology in the fashion industry, an analysis of 255 questionnaires was conducted to determine the preferences and purchase intention trends of fashion product design using 3D printing for college students. Data analysis was performed with IBM SPSS Statistics (V.24). 'Fashion sensitive pursuit', 'Individuality & brand pursuit' and 'Functional convenience' was interested in fashion accessories using 3D printing technology and customized fashion apparel products using 3D printing. 'Functional Convenience-oriented' and 'Practical Purchasing-oriented' type showed that the functionality and durability of products made using 3D printing technology were important. And 'Individuality pursuit' type indicated that design and applied materials were important when producing products using 3D printing technology.
The purpose of this is to analyze the perception of sex image by feministic fashion based on the theory of feminism, which has been developed since the 1960’s. Feministic fashion is divided 8 style and analyzed. For this study, surveying photo of feministic fashion and making out questionnaires. The data was collected from 391 university student(184 male, 207 female) living in Taegu and Kyoungpok and is analyzed by factor analysis, t-test. The result are as follows: 1. The Tendency of perceiving Feministic Fashion’s Sexual Image Male had more positive view on the sexual image of see-through and Body-conscious styles than female. And male showed more negative view on the sexual image of lingerie, punk, madonna or disorganized style. There was no significant difference between male and female in their opinion on the sex appeal of fashion that exposed some physical part. Concerning the sexual image of unisex mode, both male and female had an idea that it had nothing to do with sex appeal. Regarding the preference for sex-expressive fashion, they favored see-through and Body-conscious styles most. 2. In relation to clothing behavior toward sex-expressive fashion, both male and female generally revealed a negative view on fashion that exposed physical part and provoked an impression of keen sex appeal. 3. Sexual perception degree about the body, in physical exposure, that physical part from which they felt sex appeal most was the breast. What they most wanted to emphasize was the breast, too. As a physical part that caused their rejection symptom and made them feel hatred both and female pointed out the hips.
