Recently, the study about the technology which effectively manage spatial information is actively conducted. For the effective knowledge inquiry, various extended data mining methods are applied in spatial data mining. However, former spatial association rule system appears the problem that does not reflect various non-spatial property along the inquiries because it searches the rule from the calculation among predicates. To resolve the problem, present study suggests the system that extends the inquiries using in spatial database, searches the association rule among non-spatial object property after setting the data based on space information. Especially, the model which is applicable to geographical information system is embodied. Embodied system with this method enables to search more useful spatial association rule in real life since it shows high migration property with extended spatial database and considers spatial property and various non-spatial property.
The active database system introduces the active rules detecting specified state. As the condition evaluation of the active rules is performed every time an event occurs, the performance of the system has a great influence, depending on the conditions processing method. In this paper, we propose the conditions processing system with the preprocessor which determines the delta tree structure, constructs the classification tree, and generates the aggregate function table. Due to the characteristics of the active database through which the active rules can be comprehended beforehand, the preprocessor can be introduced. In this paper, the delta tree which can effectively process the join, selection operations, and the aggregate function is suggested, and it can enhance the condition evaluation performance. And we propose the classification tree which effectively processes the join operation and the aggregate function table processing the aggregate function which demands high cost. In this paper, the conditions processing system can be expected to enhance the performance of conditions processing in the active rules as the number of conditions comparison decreases because of the structure which is made in the preprocessor.
Coordinate constructions in natural language pose a number of difficulties to natural language processing units, due to the increased complexity of syntactic analysis, the syntactic ambiguity of the involved lexical items, and the apparent deletion of predicates in various places. In this paper, we address the syntactic characteristics of the coordinate constructions in Korean from the viewpoint of constructing a competence grammar, and present a version of combinatory categorial grammar for the analysis of coordinate constructions in Korean. We also show how to utilize a unified lexicon in the proposed grammar formalism in deriving the sentential semantics and associated information structures as well, in order to capture the discourse functions of coordinate constructions in Korean. The presented analysis conforms to the common wisdom that coordinate constructions are utilized in language not simply to reduce multiple sentences to a single sentence, but also to convey the information of contrast. Finally, we provide an analysis of sample corpora for the frequency of coordinate constructions in Korean and discuss some problematic cases.
As XML became the standard of data exchange in the internet, the needs for effective query processing for XML data in streaming environment is increasing. Applying the existing database technique which processes data with the unit of tuple to the streaming XML data causes the out-of-memory problem due to limited memory volume. Likewise the cost for searching query path and accessing specific data may be remarkably increased because of special structure of XML. In a word it is unreasonable to apply the existing database system to the streaming environment that processes query for partial data, not the whole one. Thus, it should be able to search partial streaming data that rapidly satisfies join predicate through using low-capacity memory, based on a store technique suitable to streaming XML data. In this thesis, in order to study the store technique for low-capacity memory, the PCDATA and the CDATA-related parts, which can be used as predicate on join query, were fetched and saved. In addition, in an attempt to compare rapid join predicates, the range window of streaming XML data was set with the object of selectively joining windows that satisfies the query, based on Cardinality * and + among the structure information of DTD.

The use of social media is already essential as a source of information for listening user's various opinions and monitoring. We define social 'risks' that issues effect negative influences for public opinion in social media. This paper aims to discriminate various linguistic features and reveal their effects for building an automatic classification model of social risks. Expecially we adopt a word embedding technique for representation of linguistic clues in risk sentences. As a preliminary experiment to analyze characteristics of individual features, we revise errors in automatic linguistic analysis. At the result, the most important feature is NE (Named Entity) information and the best condition is when combine basic linguistic features. word embedding, and word clusters within core predicates. Experimental results under the real situation in social bigdata - including linguistic analysis errors - show 92.08% and 85.84% in precision respectively for frequent risk categories set and full test set.
In a feature modeling, problems such as ambiguities, interpretation errors, incompleteness, etc caused by informal specification occur in the modeling phase. Therefore, feature specification method and processes are suggested in this paper to resolve these problems. The structure and language of feature modeling is defined in this paper to specify various features. First, this feature model is abstracted in the meta-level to get predicates and attributes. Formal feature model specification method is proposed using multi-paradigm language. Second, Feature specification process is proposed to describe how to specify feature formally. And third, Feature interaction management is defined to solve the problems caused between specified features. Finally, the proposed feature specification method is applied to Distributed Meeting Scheduler System domain.

The operator LIKE of the database language SQL is a string pattern search operator. By providing the string pattern, the operator can identify column values that match with the string pattern. As a phonetic symbol, each Korean syllable is composed either of a leading sound and a medial sound or of a leading sound, a medial sound, and a trailing sound. As a search pattern of Korean syllables of the operator LIKE, in addition to the traditional Korean search pattern, this paper proposes a new search pattern that is based on leading sounds and medial sounds of Korean. With the new Korean search pattern, Korean syllables having specific leading sounds, specific medial sounds, or both specific leading sounds and medial sounds can be found. Formulating predicates equivalent with the new Korean search pattern by way of existing SQL operators is cumbersome and might cause the portability problem of applications depending on the underlying character set of the DBMS. This paper presents algorithms for the execution of the operator LIKE considering the new Korean search pattern based on the characters that are represented in KS X 1001, which is a Korean standard code for information interchange of Korean and Chinese.
Recently, there has been growing interest in streaming XML data. Much of the work on streaming XML data has been focused on efficient filtering of XML data. Such XML filtering systems deliver XML documents to interested users. The burden of extracting the XML fragments of interest from XML documents is placed on users. As a result, several evaluation techniques for streaming XML data, which only extract interested XML fragments by directly evaluating XML queries on streaming XML data, have been proposed. However, existing evaluation techniques for streaming XML data only support the restricted subset of XPath queries, and multiple queries cannot be evaluated by such evaluation techniques. In this paper, we propose XTREAM which evaluates multiple queries in conjunction with the read-once nature of streaming data. In contrast to the previous work, XTREAM supports a wide class of XPath queries including order based predicates and so on. Experimental results with real-life and synthetic XML data demonstrate the efficiency and scalability of XTREAM.

In this paper, we propose a new RDF index scheme considering the characteristics of large scale RDF data to improve the query processing performance. The proposed index scheme creates a S-O index for subjects and objects since the subjects and objects of RDF triples are used redundantly. In order to reduce the total size of the index, it constructs a P index for the relatively small number of predicates in RDF triples separately. If a query contains the predicate, we first searches the P index since its size is relatively smaller compared to the S-O index. Otherwise, we first searches the S-O index. It is shown through performance evaluation that the proposed scheme outperforms the existing scheme in terms of the query processing time.

Uncertainty means incomplete stages of knowledge of propositions due to the lack of consensus of information and existing knowledge. As the amount of academic literature increases exponentially over time, new knowledge is discovered as research develops. Although the flow of time may be an important factor to identify patterns of uncertainty in scientific knowledge, existing studies have only identified the nature of uncertainty based on the frequency in a particular discipline, and they did not take into consideration of the flow of time. Therefore, in this study, we identify and analyze the uncertainty words that indicate uncertainty in the scientific literature and investigate the stream of knowledge. We examine the pattern of biomedical knowledge such as representative entity pairs, predicate types, and entities over time. We also perform the significance testing using linear regression analysis. Seven pairs out of 17 entity pairs show the significant decrease pattern statistically and all 10 representative predicates decrease significantly over time. We analyze the relative importance of representative entities by year and identify entities that display a significant rising and falling pattern.
