This study aims to provide basic data for revitalizing creativity research related to early childhood teachers by analyzing creativity research related to early childhood teachers. For this study, 103 master's and doctoral dissertations in Korea, which were searched through the National Assembly Library and the Research Information Sharing Service (RISS), were selected under the themes of 'early childhood teacher', 'creativity', and 'creativity research trends'. The frequency and percentage were calculated by analyzing creativity research related to early childhood teachers with five criteria: research period, research content, research method, research subject, and creativity factor. As a result of the study, first, as for the trends of creativity research related to early childhood teachers, 91 master's theses (88.3%) and 12 doctoral theses (11.7%) were conducted from 1991 to 2022, focusing on master's theses. Second, trends by research content were found in 20 basic studies (19.4%) and 83 practical studies (80.6%). Creativity research related to early childhood teachers is being actively conducted centering on practical research. Third, trends by research method showed 96 quantitative studies (93.2%), 7 qualitative studies (6.8%), and 0 literature studies (0%). Creativity studies related to early childhood teachers were being conducted with a focus on quantitative research. Fourth, the trend by research subject consisted of 100 studies (97.1%) related to early childhood teachers and 3 studies (2.9%) related to pre-service early childhood teachers. Fifth, trends by creativity factor were found in 56 studies (54.4%) related to teacher's variables and 47 studies (45.6%) related to creativity education methods. Studies related to teacher's variables were relatively higher than creativity education methods. As a result of this study, there is a lack of Christian education research in creativity research related to early childhood teachers, so it is expected that it will be done in the future.
As it's important to understand the order of operation in the mixed calculation of natural number and perform it, mathematics curriculums and textbooks focused that students can calculate with understanding the order of operation and its principles. For attaining the implications of teaching about the mixed calculations, this study analyzed the problem solving abilities and error types of 67 elementary students and 57 pre-service teachers using questionnaire which was developed in this study and composed of numeric expressions and word problems. The conclusions drawn from this study were as follows: Students were revealed the correct rates(86.2% and 73.5%) in numeric expressions and word problems, but they were showed the paradigmatic error types-the errors of the order of operation and the composition of numeric expression from word problems. Even though the correct rates of the preservice teachers were extremely high, the result of problem solving processes required that it's needed to be interested in teaching the principles of the order of operation in the mixed calculations. In addition, subjects were revealed the problems about using parentheses and equal sign.
The present study was to investigate child care teather's and parents's recognition and need about child counseling and to analyse differences between them. The subjects for this study were 244 child care teachers and 260 mothers of the day care centers. The major finding were as follows; Most child care teachers are aware of child counseling through lecture, pre-service education, and internet. Most mothers hear about child counseling through internet. They think that child counseling is very effective for young children, especially for negative experience and emotion. Most child care teachers think that they can administer child counseling. especially daycare centers. But mothers think that special facilities is the most appropriate place by child counseling. Child care teachers and mothers regard the credibility of human being as personal characteristics required for child counseling. Counseling specialists are to be the most appropriate person for followed by child care teather's and parents. And they think that special training is needed for child counseling. but few of them receive special training. They perceive the necessity of professional education in child counseling. but they rarely experience related education of child counseling. Especially, they feel lack of time and information. They also want to apply to child counseling children education after learning it through counseling association or by observing real situations in child counseling center using morning time or during weekends. Most mothers and child care teachers know play therapy, art therapy. bibliotherapy, sand play therapy.

Inquiry has been consistently emphasized in science education as a crucial element for learning. Although many researchers came to agree on the importance of scientific inquiry, authentic inquiry activities are hard to be actualized in an educational context. Therefore it is required to critically examine what teachers have difficulty in teaching inquiry. In this article, we looked into inquiry-based science activities in a small group setting where pre-service science teachers faced dilemmas between cognition and practice of inquiry. A case study was conducted on eight undergraduate students who are majoring in science education. The participants attended a weekly science program for middle school students in low SES as teaching assistants and mentors, and took full care of his/her mentees during open-inquiry activities. The results were drawn by analyzing participants' personal and group interviews, participant observations, self-reports, and others. The pre-service teachers viewed the knowledge and procedure of science as an essential factor in inquiry activities along with student's spontaneous attitude. However, in the process of performing inquiry, they faced several dilemmas between ideal cognition and real activities. The aspects of dilemmas could be summarized in three pairs of opposing concepts: 'diverging inquiry or converging science', 'interest-centered inquiry or learning-centered inquiry', and 'student as the subject or student with the insufficient expertise.' We discussed ways of resolving dilemmas and alternative perspectives on scientific inquiry.

The purpose of this study is to identify the differences of argumentation discourses for Socio-Scientific Issues in the types of decision-making and personality traits of pre-service biology teachers. For this study, SSI discussion topics were selected according to four types of decision making: logical reasoning, suggestion of complement, emotional base, and internal conflict. Three groups were constructed based on personality traits such as extroversion, acceptability, and integrity. Each three group used the workbook specially developed and freely used the smart device for discussion. A recorder and a camcorder were used to record each group, their behavior was recorded and the written materials during the discussion were collected for the results. Using Walton's analysis framework, the collected data analyzed in terms of the source of utterance, the process of dialogue shift, and the critical movements that can judge the reasoning of utterance. As a result of the study, it was confirmed that the decision-making type of SSI topics and learners' personalities were influential in the decision-making process of SSI small group discussions. This research shows that there is a need to develop instructional materials considering decision-making types and learners' personality types of students as well as pre-service teachers for SSI discussion.
This study aims to investigate pre-service primary English teachers' perceptions of multicultural education. For this study, the researchers surveyed 63 pre-service teachers at a national university of education using an online survey. A quantitative method is used in order to collect and analyze data. The results revealed the following: First, pre-service primary English teachers stand at a considerably high level in their overall understanding of elementary students and clearly recognize the necessity of multicultural education in school. Second, concerning the difference that the personal variables of gender, grade, and major make in the subjects' perception of English education based on multicultural education, grade showed no statistically significant difference, but gender and major are responsible for a slight difference. Third, an analysis was made of the correlation between the subjects having or not having received multicultural education and the personal variables of gender, grade, and major, yielding the following results: Gaining or not gaining multicultural education does not correlate with gender, but does significantly with grade and major.

This study aimed to analyze the personality of 141 pre-service early childhood teachers who will be in charge of the quality of education in the early childhood curriculum and to verify the differences in the career resilience according to the personality types. Career resilirnce, which measures the ability to cope with various problems and create ideas according to the work environment, was judged to be a very important factor for teacher-child interaction and successful operation of the early childhood curriculum. The results of the study showed that, among personality types, in the case of extraversion and conscientiousness, groups with average scores or higher scored higher in creativity, flexibility, challenging spirit, and future orientation than the groups below. In the case of the openness personality, higher scores in creativity, flexibility and challenging spirit, and in the case of the agreeable personality, the group showed significantly higher scores in flexibility and future orientation. In the case of the neurotic personality, on the contrary, the group with below average score received higher scores in flexibility, challenging spirit, and future orientation. The significance of this study is that it suggests the need for comprehensive programs such as various extracurricular programs, curricula, and counseling to help and promote the formation of more positive personalities of pre-service early childhood teachers.

The purpose of this study is to examine science education researchers' views on what and how much science educational theories would be needed for pre-service science teachers, and to investigate the relationship between their views and the Examination for Appointing Secondary School Science Teachers(EASST). For this study, the views of science education professors on science education theories have been analyzed in terms of their priorities for contributing to the improvement of science teacher competency and literacy. Their views have been compared with proportions of questions related to science education theories of the EASST in terms of what kinds of science education theories have been used for solving each item. As results of this study show, they have perceived that more essential things are needed for the improvement of science teacher competency and literacy including science inquiry process, methods of experimental equipments and tools, laboratory safety, misconception of students, discussion, writing, evaluation of scientific knowledges, and evaluation of scientific inquiry ability other than science philosophy, changes of science curricula, science curricula of foreign countries, Bruner's instructional theory, Karplus's Learning Cycle model, generative learning model, discovery learning model, and Klopfer's taxonomy of educational objectives. There is a higher proportion of questions related to science curriculum and Ausubel's learning theory in the EASST. They are hardly correlated with science education professors' selections of science educational theories for EASST questions. This study advocates the needs of exploring a new method of narrowing down the gap between science educators' opinions and questions of ESSAT in terms of science educaiton theories.

One of the main purposes in prospective elementary teacher education is to prepare for teaching each subject matter. For this purpose, it is necessary to explore how prospective teachers may analyze elementary mathematics instruction and they perceive their analytic foci. This study probed in what ways prospective teachers analyzed elementary mathematics instruction using two video cases. The results of this study showed that prospective teachers focused mainly on instructional strategies, specifically with regard to whether such strategies would be adequate both for mathematical content to be taught and for students' characteristics. They also focused on the effective use of instructional materials as well as the case teacher's adequate feedback. Prospective teachers claimed to have analytic foci not only on the degree of attainment of instructional purposes but also on students' responses and interest. Given this result, this paper includes several issues related to help prospective teachers prepare for better teaching.
