  • This study analyzed differences in awareness, attitude, and purchase intention for multi-brand stores among fashion lifestyle groups. A questionnaire survey was conducted between September 12th and September 30th 2016 with women in their 20s to 40s living in the Seoul metropolitan area, Busan, Gyeongnam area, Daegu, and Gyeongbuk area. Data were collected from 417 women and analyzed using factor analysis, cluster analysis, analysis of variance and a Duncan test. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, the result of factor analysis showed that fashion lifestyle was divided into five factors such as individuality orientation, practicality orientation, conspicuous orientation, fashion orientation, and economic orientation. The respondents were classified into economic pursuit group, individuality seeking group, active fashion seeking group and practicality seeking group according to fashion lifestyle factors. Second, there were significant differences in awareness, attitude, and purchase intention of multi-brand stores among fashion lifestyle groups. Fashion seeking group was more aware of, had a positive attitude toward, and purchased more fashion products in multi-brand stores than other groups.

  • The purpose of this study was to find the effect of intuitive free association and systematic free association on the creativity of high school students group in the conceptual design process. Based on this study result, the conclusion can be summarized as follows. 1. There was meaningful relation between intuitive free association and creativity factor of high school students. Mean value of experimental group A 's creativity and it's factor originality, practicality, elaboration, and fluency which treated intuitive free association was increased. 2. There was meaningful relation between systematic free association and creativity factor of high school students. Mean value of experimental group B 's creativity and it's sub factors: originality, problem solving, elaboration, and fluency which was treated systematic free association was increased. 3. It was found that two different divergent thinking does not show any meaningful difference in creativities of two groups. However, the meaningful difference was found in post creativity test in each groups sub-factors. There was meaningful difference in practicality factor, though there was no meaningful difference in originality, elaboration, fluency factors. Using the obtained results, it was concluded that intuitive thinking and systematic thinking play different roles in practicality which is one of sub-factors of the creativity of high school students. Consequently, it can be concluded that systematic thinking which leads students to take a step to solve a given problem can elicit more scientific thinking, and helps students create more practical solution in problem solving than intuitive thinking that emphasize the quantitative aspect of ideas.

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship among narcissism, usage motives, usage behaviors, satisfaction with and continuance intention to use fashion social media. Research design, data, methodology - A questionnaire survey was used to collect data after conducting a pilot test. Based on the reliability test of the preliminary questionnaire used for the pilot test, the questionnaire was revised. The final questionnaires were administered to 238 fashion social media users and 216 were used for the data analysis. To assess the validity of these measures, exploratory factor analysis and the confirmatory factor analysis were performed. Structural equation modeling analysis were employed for data analysis. Results - Five factors of the usage motivation of fashion social media were extracted: information-seeking, relationship-seeking, practicality-seeking, enjoyment-seeking and self-expression motives. The statistical analysis confirmed the influence of the narcissism tendency on all of the usage motives of fashion social media, three of the fashion social media usage motives influencing information diffusion behavior, and the influence of the information diffusion behavior on users' satisfaction and continuance intention to use fashion social media. Narcissism exerted the highest influences on self-expression motive followed by information-seeking, enjoyment-seeking, relationship-seeking and practicality-seeking motives in order. Factors affecting fashion information diffusion behaviors are practicality-seeking motive, self-expression motive, and relationship-seeking motive. The greater the diffusion of information, the higher the satisfaction with using fashion social media. The consumers with higher satisfaction intended to use fashion social media and share information more frequently. Conclusions - The results indicate that narcissism is an important factor in fashion social media usage motivation. The main motives for narcissistic people to spread information is for the practical purpose at the most, and then to express their personality and style, and to build relationship with others. The satisfaction through active information sharing behaviors seems to play a key role to lead high continuance intention of fashion social media. These implies that marketing strategies to satisfy consumers' narcissism and motives to use social media, and to stimulate the information diffusion behaviors can be used to meet their needs for higher satisfaction with fashion social media.

  • This study aims at analyzing the course selecting standards of college students including Electives and Major courses. For the purpose of this study, we developed a survey through analyzing previous related-research and conducting interviews and pilot study. Using our survey questions, on- and off-line survey was conducted for 301 college students from November 1st to December 5th. As a result of the survey, college student's course selecting standards consist of five factors including 'convenience in learning', 'characteristics of instructors', 'practicality of courses', 'expectations of and interests in learning', and 'external factors.' With the result of factor analysis, we analyzed course selecting standards of college students divided into Electives and Major courses. For electives, 'convenience in learning' was most considered among five factors, followed by 'expectations of and interests in learning', 'external factors', 'characteristics of instructors' and 'practicality of courses.' On the other hand, 'characteristics of instructors' was the highest consideration of college students when selecting courses in Major subjects, followed by 'convenience in learning', 'expectations of and interests in learning', 'external factors' and 'practicality of courses.' This study examined what standards affect college student's course selection, considering Electives and Major courses respectively. We suggested further study on how college students select their courses and how this affect their satisfaction with college education.

  • New simplicity means essential concept that is continuous rather than being concept that do not overcome formal, material functional boundary. Consuming masses, decorative reactionism is possible in infinite resource and continuous plenty. Nowaday situation can not forecast the affirmative future bases on economic performance and practicality, so simplicity esthetics which consisted of minimum things is justified. The purpose of this study is to discuss not the formal and functional simplicity but new simplicity to express the essential thoughts and emotional contents of human life.

  • It is difficult to establish a mathematical furnace model and automatic-fumace control because of the difficulty in direct measurement of the inner condition of a blast furnace. To solve this problem, we has developed and actually operated a blast furnace operation control system using artificial intelligence tool to be applied to the blast furnace process computer system. Since this system has a function of automatic Treat level control, higher practicality has been proved than the previous guidance-level expert system. This paper introduces an outline of the system and the result of application.

  • In this paper, a posture control for nonholonomic mobile robots is proposed with an empirical basis. In order to obtain fast and consecutive motions in realistic applications, the motion requirements of a mobile robot are defined. Under the assumption of a velocity controller designed with the selection guidance of control parameters, the algorithm of posture control is presented and experimentally demonstrated for practicality and effectiveness.

  • A new interpolation function, named modified raised-cosine interpolation, is proposed. This function is derived from the linear combination of weighted triangular and raised-cosine functions to reduce the effect of side lobes which incur the interpolation error. Interpolation error reduces significantly for higher-order convolutional interpolation functions of linear operators, but at the expense of resolution error due to the attenuation of main lobe. However, the proposed interpolation function enables us to reduce the side lobes as well as to preserve the main lobe. To prove practicality, this function is applied in image reconstruction and enlargement.
