The objective of the current study is to verify the moderating effect of social support and mediating effect of sense of self-respect in the impact of stress on depression of the elderly. The subjects of the study are 485 people aged 65 or above who use a comprehensive social welfare center. First, in the effect of stress on depression of elderly people, family issues, health issues, economic issues, and feeling of loss were found to be significant. Second, in the impact of self-respect in the elderly on their depression, family issues, economic issues, and feeling of loss were found to have a mediating effect on depression, but not with health issues. Third, in the impact of social support to the elderly on the relationship between their stress and depression, the moderating effect of social support on depression was found to have a negative value. Based on these findings, the study suggests practical implications on social welfare in reducing depression experienced by the elderly.

Extinction limits and combustion temperatures in heat-recirculating excess enthalpy reactors employing both gas-phase and catalytic reaction have been examined previously, with and emphasis Reynolds number (Re) effects and possible application to microscale combustion devices. However, Re is not the only parameter needed to characterize reactor operation. In particular, the use of a fixed reactor size implies that residence time and Re cannot be adjusted independently. To remedy this situation, in this work geometrically similar reactors of different physical sizes were tested with the aim of independently determining the effects of Re and Da. It is found that the difference between catalytic and non-catalytic combustion limits narrow as scale decreases. Moreover, to assess the importance of wall thermal conductivity, reactors of varying wall thickness were studied. From these results the effect of scale on microscale reactor performance and implications for practical microcombustion devices are discussed.

Objective & Methods : The purpose of this study is to observe the effects of Cyperi Rhizoma Herbal-acupuncture infusion solution at Umgok($KI_{10}$) on Osteoporotic Rats Induced by Ovariectomy. The author performed several experimental items to analyze cytotoxic, osteoporosis evaluation, change of ALP, osteocalcin, Ca and histological change of tibia. Result : 1. BMD were increased non-meaningly in CR-HA than control group. 2. ALP was not inhibited by CR-HA, osteocalcin was decreased meaningly in CR-HA than control group. 3. Osteoclast like cell in tibia was increased meaningly in control group, decreased meaningly in CR-HA. 4. In the histological study in tibia, TBV was significantly increased, GPL was significantly decreased in the CR-HA than control group. Conclusions : From the result above, the results suggest that CR-HA at $KI_{10}$ has significant effect on osteoporosis, and to be put to practical use in the future osteoporosis clinic.

If the concrete is exposed below freezing point of the outer temperature before hardened, the quality of the concrete will be lowered after hardened. Anti-freezing agent which doesn't corrode the steel bar and doesn't generate the alkali-aggregate reaction by noncholride recently developed in Japan and Northern Europe. But the effects of these agents are rarely known. Therefore, this study is desigend for analyzing the freezing properties at the condition of solution of solution and cement paste. And this study aims to present the reference data for practical use of the concrete works using anti-freezing agent.

With such basic conceptions in mind. this study was aimed at reviewing the unique formative aesthetics of scarves for creation of modern apparel design. To this end, the drapeability of the rhythmically wrinkled fabric of scarf as well as its tying and enclosing representation were introduced into the apparel details and silhouette to create an apparel design flattering the moderns unique sense of aesthetics and emotion. In the same vein. threads were superimposed on the planar fabric to express a sense of volume and thereby, pursue a unique decorative effect of rich texture. Specifically. the objectives of this study are to highlight the practical use of scarf warming and its decorative formative aesthetics and thereby, apply it to apparel designs and develop an art fabric using the machine embroidery technique. and ultimately, suggest the possibility of unique but highly value-added apparel designs.

Through this research, it was discovered that Wang Sa-wung studied classics such as "Nai Kyung", and brought about new theries and prescription by combining it with his own experience. He asserted 'Ki Hwa Chu Ki' theory which differentiated 'Shin Kam' and 'Bok Sa' within 'On Byung', and this was a new theory which was not in existence before. The main reason for the recognition received by the future generation is, not only because of the substantial theoretical background but, due to the fact that his ideas were based on making practical use easier within rich near a bed experience.

A simple technique to decouple the modal equations of motion of a linear nonclassically damped system is to neglect the off-diagonal elements of the modal damping matrix. This is called the decoupling approximation. It has generally been conceived that smallness of off-diagonal elements relative to the diagonal ones would validate its use. In this study, the relationship between elements of the modal damping matrix and the error arising from the decoupling approximation is explored. It is shown that the enhanced diagonal dominance of the modal damping matrix need not diminish the error. In fact, the error may even increase. Moreover, the error is found to be strongly dependent on the exitation. Therefore, within the practical range of engineering applications, diagonal dominance of the modal damping matrix would not be sufficient to supress the effect of modal coupling.

Opium, morphine and rotated natural and synthetic opiates have been used since antiquity, and to the present, for the relief of moderate and severe pain. Morphine and pharmacologically related drugs, however, produced an array of undesired or dangerous side effect that limit their use as analgesics. Prominent among the limiting side effects are constipation, respiratory depression, release of prolactin, and liability for the production of drug dependence. It was our aim to develop, if possible, a drug or class of drugs with analgesic activity similar to that of morphine, but without the serious side effects associated with morphine. Our overall strategy was to take advantage of advancing knowledge concerning multiple types of opioid receptors, to develop ligands selective for the delta type receptors, to determine whether delta receptor agonists offer advantages over mu agonists, then to design compounds with pharmacokinetic properties compatible with practical therapeutic application. All but the last of these objectives have been realized.

In this paper, the optimizing investigation of characteristics of underwater welding by a gravity type arc welding process is experimentally carried out by using the .phi. 4mm ilmenite type of domestic coated welding electrodes for welding the domestic marine structural steel plates of 8mm thickness in order to develop the underwater welding techniques in practical use, resulting in the quantitative analysis possibility for the relationship between the mechanical propernical properties of underwater welded joint HAZ and the welding heat input.
