The purpose of this research is to analyse the composition of theories and practical activities in clothing and textiles in Technologyㆍ Home economics textbooks in the 7th National Curriculum and find out learning requirement of students in the area. For this research, a survey was conducted using questionnaires with 280 high school students living in Daegu and the rate of response was 78.9%. The results of this study are as follows. 1. After analysing the curriculum of Practical Arts subject in elementary school and Technology´ Home Economics subject in secondary school, we could find out that more emphasis is put on practical activities in elementary school and high school. On the other hand, theories are considered more important in middle school. 2. Students have similar preference both for theories and for practical activities as a way of learning in class and show positive responses to practical activities unless they´re giving too much pressure as a part of performance test. 3. According to their learning requirement. several teaching-learning contents in clothing and textiles in Technology Home economics are selected such as materials,. clothes designs, how to set dressed well, how to make a reasonable purchase on clothes, and the process of manufacturing various clothes, etc. Therefore it would be desirable to provide the students with the learning opportunity to the extent where even the students who haven´t chosen the selected-advanced course can take part in class actively.
With the recent advancement of technology, there has been an increase in professional development activities, including teachers using blogs to share practical knowledge and reflect on teaching and learning. This study was conducted to identify the contents of practical knowledge shared through the K-12 teachers' blogs. To achieve the research objective, 70,571 blog posts were collected from 329 blogs of K-12 teachers in Korean and analyzed using text mining techniques. The results of the study are as follows. First, practical knowledge sharing activities using teacher blogs have increased. Teachers posted a lot of blogs during the semester. Second, primary school teachers share various curriculum activities, reflections on project classes, class management, opinions related to education, and personal. Third, secondary school teachers share summaries and reviews of curriculum, materials related to college entrance exams, various instructional materials, opinions related to education, and personal experiences on their blogs. This study suggested that blogs are widely used as a venue for sharing practical knowledge of teachers, and that blogs can be a useful way to develop professionalism.

Notably, home project learning was identified as a significant instructional method. This result begs in-dept analysis as home project learning may be utilized as a tool to compensate for the absence of practical educational objective condition fulfillment and to substitute for teachers unable to Provide such functional guidance in class. 4. In each guidance domain. role-playing. debate/discussion. case study research, practical exercise and activity reporting were rated as essential teaching ㆍ learning activities. 5. In each guidance domain.‘VCR’, ‘CD-ROM’ and ‘Web media’ were identified as suitable instructional materials .
The research presents a guideline for quality practitioners to provide a full comprehension of differences in theoretical and practical interpretations of assumed sampling errors of and significance probability of calculated p-value. Besides, the study recommends the use of statistical inferences methods with known parameters to identify the improvement effects. In practice, the quality practitioners obtain the known parameters through systematic quality Database (DB) activities.
In this study, distribution of population with economic activities in ingress step to advanced-age society, the current status for the economic activities of old people and the necessity of economic activities through employment and inauguration for old people were investigated. The current status for the economic activities of old people and the changes of economic activities since IMF were also reviewed, and the activation of senior club in regional society and establishment of old man power bank were proposed. The speed of ingress to advanced-age society in Korea is so fast compared with other developed countries that the participation in economic activities of old people is urgent for international competitiveness and their economic independence. Up to now, due to the related regulations and institutional inertia, the practical support of employment and inauguration has not been achieved, but, the practical support should be achieved by solving the problems regarding the regulations and institution.

Background: Safety management is required to ensure health and safety of personnel in Norwegian fish farming. However, few studies have addressed the status and practical relevance of this risk-reducing measure. Methods: This article provides new knowledge through interviews with 35 employees at different company levels, addressing perceptions of various safety management activities according to managers and operational personnel. Results: The interviews show that managers and operational personnel at fish farms agree that the quantity of measures aimed to improve safety has increased in recent years. However, some activities are perceived to have higher practical relevance than others. In general, measures that fit well with the practical reality are well received by the employees at the fish farms. Conclusion: Suggested improvements include involving operational personnel in the design of procedures, considering all risk dimensions that may affect occupational health and safety, and challenging the value of specific safety activities based on a detailed knowledge of the distinctive characteristics of work practice in fish farming.
This study was to investigate practical methods for activity-based nutrition education for elementary school students, which help them understand the knowledge of food and nutrition and apply it to their day-to-day lives practically. The concept and necessity for activity-based nutrition education Were investigated and practical nutrition education methods based on activities were developed by referring to literatures related to activity based loaming and nutrition education methods. Activity-based nutrition education is a set of methods by which better food and nutrition habits are introduced by means of various activities, such as nutritional plays and games, story composing, nutritional songs, nutritional diaries, role plays, discussion and cooking. Elementary nutrition education should be based on various activities that take into consideration the children's intellectual and physical development because these students are in a concrete operational stage and they are naturally active, curious, and inquisitive. Thus, various activities were developed for elementary nutrition education, and educational effect and~ teaching methods are suggested. Children can be highly motivated and naturally absorb knowledge and desirable attitudes with respect to food and nutrition by means of these activities because they take into consideration the age and intellectual levels of the children.
The practical learning experience is the heart of nursing's professional program of study, have been the most widely disscussed and yet the least studied of all nursing education activities. The major goal of practical learning experience is to provide opportunities in realistic work settings that permit the nursing student to develop the knowledge, skill It attitudes of a beginning practitioner. The purpose of this study is to identify the experience of practical learning in the children's rehabilitation center by nursing students, to provide basic information for developing practical learning in pediatric nursing education. The study design was a descriptive study. Data were collected 74 cases of journaling which came from senior nursing students who cared for the handicapped children in P rehabilitation center from 24, August, 1997 to 29, Decmber, 29, 1998. The collected data were analyzed using the content analysis by Kim & Lee(1986), Kim(1987). 'Smart Clothes', which incorporate topnotch digital technology into fashion, are a leading fashion runner in this digital era. The purpose of the study is to first help develop a practical design for outdoor backpacks which are equipped with eco-friendly solar cells that facilitate recharging diverse smart devices during outdoor activities; and, secondly, to offer some practical data from the actual appropriation tests that will be used for manufacturing such products. This trial study finds out how to conjoin some practical IT devices with fashion items and mainly focusses on designing outdoor backpacks which are loaded with solar cells for recharging electric devices, and, later, experiments on designed backpacks with some smart phones to see how it works. According to the desired purposes of backpacks, all the features can be adjusted and modified such as the kinds of solar cell panels, materials, sizes, positions of attachment, weights, etc. Smart Clothes are highly functional and fashionable items that satisfy both practical and emotional purposes, and are being actively developed to serve consumers. This study proves that Smart Clothes or Smart Wear will have practical uses for outdoor activities and will possibly lead our smart lifestyles.
