건식 세정기용 전원장치 개발 (The development of power supply for dry scrubber)

  • 반도체 생산 공정에 있어, 저압 화학적 기상 증착(Low Pressure Chemical Vapor Deposition)과 프라즈마 강화 화학적 기상 증착(Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition) 공정 후 발생된 환경 유해 가스를 효과적으로 세정하기 위한 장비인 건식 세정기(dry scrubber)의 전원장치에 대한 연구이다. 주 전력회로는 1500W, 스위칭주파수 100kHz의 위상 변위 풀 브리지(Phase Shift Full-Bridge)방식의 인버터와 100kHz 저역 통과 필터 및 임피던스 변환기로 구성되었다 모드해석과 모의실험을 통하여 회로방식의 타당성을 확인하였고 50$\Omega$ dummy load 및 chamber 실험을 통하여 다양한 부하조건에서도 프라즈마를 안정되게 발생시킬 수 있음을 확인하였다.

고효율 고역률 LED 조명장치용 전원공급장치 (High Efficiency and High Power-Factor Power Supply for LED Lighting Equipment)

  • 본 논문에서는 고효율 고역률 LED 조명장치용 전원공급장치를 제안한다. 제안한 전원공급장치는 풀브리지 다이오드 정류기와 플라이백 컨버터로 구성된 단일단 전력구조이며, 이에 따라 하나의 제어기 IC와 하나의 전력반도체스위치만을 사용하여 역률개선과 출력전압조정을 동시에 수행한다. 또한 제안한 전원공급장치는 회생스너버를 이용하여 주스위치의 전압스트레스와 스위칭손실을 감소시키며, 동기정류기를 이용하여 시스템 효율을 향상한다. 적용된 동기정류기는 새로운 전압구동형이며 동작과 구성이 간단하다. 본 논문에서는 역률개선부와 주전력변환부의 동작분석을 통하여 제안한 전원공급장치의 동작원리를 설명하고 동기정류기의 동작에 관하여 간략하게 설명한다. 또한 40W급 프로토타입 전력회로의 설계예시를 제시하며, 설계된 회로파라미터들에 의해 제작된 프로토타입의 실험 결과를 통하여 제안한 전원공급장치의 동작특성을 입증한다.

  • The trend of the regulations on environmental issues are getting tight. Responding to this trend new technologies such as moving electrodes, wide pitch and pulsed power supply are also introduced in the electrostatic precipitator(EP) systems. The introduction of wide pitch and moving electrodes enhances the system performance of the EPs by improving air-flow and by improving the ash reentrainment on rapping. The power supplies for the EPs developed up to date include thyristor-based dc or intermittent type, SMPS(switching mode power supply) type and the pulsed-power supply type. The use of the pulsed ones is known to improve dust-collecting efficiency of high resistivity ash and reduces back corona occurrence in the collecting plate. There are two kinds of pulsed-power supplies; one with pulsed transformers and the other with direct dc switching devices. The latter uses rotary spark gap switches or semiconductor switches. Both have the merits and demerits: the spark gap switches are simple and robust but has short life time, hence, high maintenance cost, whereas the semiconductor switches have long life time but are costly. In this study, A high voltage power supply with superimposing voltage pulse on dc source was developed for EPs. This study describes circuit topology, operating principle of the scheme, and analysis of experimental results on Dong-Hae Power Plant. The pulsed power supply consists of a variable dc power supply with ratings of 60kV, 800mA and pulse generator which is made of high voltage thyristor-diode switch strings, an LC resonant tank and a blocking inductor. The pulse generator generates variable pulse-voltage up to 70kV using a high frequency resonant inverter with a variable dc source. Two prototypes were built and tested on 250MW DongHae power plant to verify the possibility of the commercial use and the normal operation in the transient states.

Isolated Power Supply for Multiple Gate Drivers using Wireless Power Transfer System with Single-Antenna Receiver

  • This paper presents a power supply for gate drivers, which uses a magnetic resonance wireless power transfer system. Unlike other methods where multiple antennas are used to supply power for the gate drivers, the proposed method uses a single antenna in an insulated receiver to make multiple mutually isolated power supplies. The power transmitted via single antenna is distributed to multiple power supplies for gate drivers through resonant capacitors connected in parallel that also block DC bias. This approach has many advantages over other methods, where each gate driver needs to be supplied with power using multiple receiver antennas. The proposed method will therefore lead to a reduction in production costs and circuit area. Because the proposed circuit uses a high resonance frequency of 6.78 MHz, it is possible to implement a transmitter and a receiver using a small-sized spiral printed-circuit-board-type antenna. This paper used a single phase-leg circuit configuration to experimentally verify the performance characteristics of the proposed method.

상전원의 피크치 전력 감소를 위한 전력병합장치 회로설계 (Circuit Design of Parallel Power Operation Equipment for Peak Power Reduction)

  • 최근 전력의 수요공급 불균형으로 전력사용 피크시간대의 전력사용 강제 제한이 불가피하다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는, 피크전력이 발생하지 않는 시간대의 전기를 저장하고 전력부족이 예상되는 피크전력 시간대에는 저장전력을 공급하는 병렬운전 기기의 회로를 설계하는데 있다. 이 회로설계를 통하여, PRS의 핵심기능인 상용전원과 인버터 발생전원의 병렬연결 운용으로, 상용전원의 피크치 전력을 조절할 수 있었다. 또한 효율을 높이기 위하여 Transless Power Circuit DC-AC 인버터를 개발하였다. 더 나아가, 가변임피던스 제어를 적용하여 무정전 전원장치의 저장전력을 상용전원과 연계함으로써, 기존의 무정전 전원장치에서 구현을 못하고 있는 저장전력 사용시간을 획기적으로 늘릴 수 있는 기술구현 가능성을 입증하였다.

스퍼터용 플라즈마 전원장치의 아크방지를 위한 에너지 회생회로에 대한 연구 (A Study on Energy Recovery Circuit in Sputtering Plasma Power supply for arc Discharge Prevention)

  • Recently, in the field of renewable energy such as solar cells including the semiconductor and display industries, thin film deposition process is being diversified. Furthermore, to deal with trend of making high-quality and fast, the high-capacity and output plasma power supply which can control high density plasma is required. The biggest problem is arc discharge caused by using high voltage power supply. Thus, the key function of plasma power supply is to prevent arc discharge and there is a need to maintain the possible minimum arc energy. In DC sputtering power supply, on a periodic basis (-)voltage powering up is able to significantly reduce arcing, as well as arc discharge prevention, and maintaining uniform charge density. This conventional method for powering up (-)voltage requires heavy mutual inductance of the transformer to avoid distortion problem of the output voltage. This study is about energy recovery circuit for arc discharge prevention in sputtering plasma power supply. By using energy recovery circuit, it is possible to reduce the mutual inductance and size of the transformer dramatically, prevent distortion of the output voltage and has a stable output waveform. This work was proved through simulation and experimental study.

6배압 정류기를 이용한 고전압 전원장치에 관한 연구 (A Study of the High Voltage Power Supply using a Sixfold Voltage-Multiplying Rectifier)

  • This paper presents design, fabrication, and performance evaluation of a high voltage power supply for Carbon Nano Tube-based planar light sources. The proposed power supply employs an LLC resonant half-bridge converter and a sixfold voltage-multiplying rectifier. Steady-state characteristics of the voltage-multiplying rectifier are analyzed and used to derive the input-to-output voltage conversion ratio of the power supply. The input-to-output frequency response characteristics of the LLC tank circuit are analyzed and utilized in designing a proto-type power supply which produces a 15 KV output using a 400 V input source. The high-voltage transformer is fabricated using a sectional bobbin structure with an epoxy impregnation, in order to provide sufficient insulation for high voltage operations. The performance of the proposed power supply is confirmed with stable and reliable operations at the 15 KV output from no load to nominal load conditions. The proposed power supply is well suited as an electric ballast required stable operations of Carbon Nano Tube-based planar light sources.

  • 본 논문에서는 영상증폭관 (image intensifier tube) 구동을 위한 초소형 경량의 고전압 전원장치의 개발에 대하여 기술하였다. 영상증폭관은 미세한 빛을 증폭하여 야간에도 물체를 식별할 수 있도록 하며, 휴대용 야간 투시경에 사용된다. 영상증폭관을 구동하기 위해서는 배터리 전원을 승압하여, 작은 사이즈에서 수천 볼트의 고전압을 발생하는 전원장치가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 이를 위한 고전압 전원장치의 설계와 제작에 대해 설명하였으며, 시작품에 대한 실험을 통하여 성능을 검증하였다.

저가격 고 신뢰성의 400Hz 전원의 무순단 전력절환용 개선된 동기화 기법 (An Improved Synchronization Control Scheme of a Low Cost 400Hz Power Supply for No-Break Power Transfer)

  • This study proposes an improved synchronization control scheme for a low-cost 400Hz power supply for a no-break power transfer system. In the case of aircraft applications, the 400Hz power supply called ground power units is accepted and used as the external electrical power system during stopovers on ground. A momentary break in the supply occurs when shifting from one power source to another. To allow shifting without a break in the supply, the two power sources are momentarily connected in parallel. The proposed synchronization control is achieved by connecting an existing synchronization bus to the voltage zero-crossing signal of a generator power with discrete logic ICs and analog circuits. Therefore, unlike expensive controllers, such as DSP and CAN, the proposed control scheme is rather simple and may decrease operational cost. The practical feasibility of the proposed control scheme is proven by experimental results.

확률계획법을 활용한 원자력 대체비용의 분석 (Analysis on the Replacement Cost of Nuclear Energy Using a Stochastic Programming Model)

  • A nuclear energy has been one of the most important sources to securely supply electricity in South Korea. Its weight in the national electricity supply has kept increasing since the first nuclear reactor was built in 1978. The country relies on the nuclear approximately 31.4% in 2012 and it is expected to increase to 48.5% in 2024 based on the long-term electricity supply plan announced by the Korean government. However, Fukushima disaster due to 9.0 magnitude earthquake followed by the tsunami has raised deep concerns on the security of the nuclear power plants. The policy makers of the country are much interested in analyzing the cost structure of the power supply in the case that the nuclear is diminished from the current supply portion. This research uses a stochastic model that aims to evaluate the long-term power supply plan and provides an extensive cost analysis on the changes of the nuclear power supply. To evaluate a power supply plan, the research develops a few plausible energy mix scenarios by changing the installed capacities of energy sources from the long-term electricity supply plan. The analyses show that the nuclear is still the most attractive energy source since its fuel cost is very much stable compared to the other sources. Also the results demonstrate that a large amount of financial expenditure is additionally required every year if Koreans agree on the reduction of nuclear to increase national security against a nuclear disaster.
