The magnetic polishing is the useful method to finish some machinery fabrications by using magnetic power. This method is one of the precision techniques and has m aim for clean technology in the transportation of the pure gas in the clean pipes. The magnetic abrasive polishing method is not so common in the field of machine that it is not known to widely. There are rarely researcher in this field because of non-effectiveness of magnetic abrasive. Therefore, in this paper we deals with the development of the magnetic abrasive with the use of Ba-Ferrite. In this development, abrasive grain WA has been made by using the min bond fabricated at low temperature. And magnetic abrasive powder was fabricated from the Ba-Ferrite which was crushed into 200 mesh. The XRD analysis result shows that only WA abrasive and Ba-Ferrite crystal peaks were detected, explaining that resin bond was not any more to contribute chemical reaction. From SEM analysis, we found that WA abrasive and Ba-Ferrite were strongly bonding with each other.
Reaction bonded si-SiC composites were prepared by silicon infiltration technique at temperature of 1$600^{\circ}C$ for 30 minutes in vaccum atmosphere. The microstructure and mechanical properties of Si-SiC composites were investigated and characterized. UF-15 and SE-10 as SiC powders, phenolic resin and carbon black as carbon source, and metallic silicon powder as molten Si source were used as starting materials. New SiC crystallines nucleatd and grown by reaction of Si and C were detected by TEM and SEM-EDS. The bonding between new and original SiC was found to be strong. But the wetting of SiC by unreacted metallic Si and the rapid grain growth of new SiC decreased density and fracture toughness. Fracture toughness and modulus of rupture of Si-SiC composite were about 3.2 MPa.m1/2 and 480 MPa, respectively.
This paper describes both electromagnetic properties and electromagnetic-wave absorbind (EMA) characteristics of the radar absorbing coating materials in the microwave frequencies. The coating materials are prepared by mixing ferrite powder with epoxy resin polymers. The electromagnetic property and the EMA characteristics of the coating materials are measured in the frequency ranges between 0.2 GHz and 15GHz using the S-parameter method. The results show that the typical coating material has ({{{{ {μ }`_{r } ^{' } }} of about 2 and ({{{{ { ε}`_{r } ^{' } }} of about 4. And the coating materials have a little EMA characteristics in the frequency from 4 to 6 GHz and more improved EMA characteristics around 12 GHz And it is desirable for improvement of the EMA characteristics of the coating materials to properly select electromagnetic properties of constitutional materials inthe interesting frequency ranges.

In this study a coating experiment was performed to fabricate blue light cut films, which represent a 390~430 nm cut off rate of more than 40% and a transmittance rate of more than 90%, using a roll-to-roll nano micro coating system. The study also analyzed the characteristics of the blue light cut films. Thus, the hardness, which is more than 3H, is ensured through fabricating films using a Sol-Gel process that will determine the proper hardness level. Also, the experiment shows excellent results by cutting blue light through a mixing blue light powder.
With the aid of advanced structural engineering, the construction of infrastructures has been recently accelerating to keep up with rapid economic growth. Construction activities and operation of transportation facilities cause civil petitions associated with vibration-induced damages or nuisances. As part of the decrease of vibration induced damage, the objective of this study is to develop vibration-controlled concrete with vibration-reduced materials, which can be recycled from obsolete materials, such as aged tires, plastics and etc. Appropriate mix proportion has been used for making 10 reinforced concrete panels with vibration-reduced materials, which have been tested to investigate on vibration reduction capability, based on the time and frequency domain analysis, and vibration velocity level analysis. Vibration-reduced mixtures are latex, styrofoam, rubber powder and plastic resin, which have been determined to by reduce vibration.
Titanium oxide films and powders are attached onto carbon cloths via RF reactive sputtering and an epoxy resin mixture, respectively. $TiO_2$/carbon composite materials were used to investigate the photoelectrochemical degradation of perchlorate ions in water. The energy band gaps of the RF-sputtered $TiO_2$ thin films ranged from 3.35-3.44 eV. A photocurrent of the powdered $TiO_2$ as illuminated by ultra-violet light for 30 min. was $2.79\;mA/cm^2$. Perchlorate ions in water were shown to be degradable by a UV-illuminated $TiO_2$ powder/carbon/Nafion/carbon composite.
The nonuniform shrinkage has been investigaed in pressureless sintering of $\alpha$-SiC, where born carbide and phenolic resin as a carbon source are used as densification aids. Compacted specimens, prepared from the granulated powder, were sintered at 215$0^{\circ}C$ for 30min in Ar atmosphere. Using the fresh and unseasoned graphite crucible, the upwarped specimens were obtained, while specimens were uniformly shrunk in the seasoned crucible. This effect is mainly due to the nonuniform distributjion of boron carbide during heatig, which originates in the reaction of boron carbide with CO gas, providing from the result of SiO2 reduction with carbon during heating.
An optimal brake pad must have stable friction, low wear and least amount of squeal. In this study, the friction, wear and squeal behavior of some non-asbestos Kevlar materials have been evaluated experimentally. Four specimens with different formulations and a pin-on-disk machine were used for this study. To determine the role of each component in friction and squeal of a brake pad, statistical correlations have been obtained and discussed. The components tested were : Kevlar, Steel Powder, Barium Sulfate and fillers combined by Resin.
A novel bumping process using solder bump maker is developed for the maskless low-volume solder on pad (SoP) technology of fine-pitch flip chip bonding. The process includes two main steps: one is the aggregation of powdered solder on the metal pads on a substrate via an increase in temperature, and the other is the reflow of the deposited powder to form a low-volume SoP. Since the surface tension that exists when the solder is below its melting point is the major driving force of the solder deposit, only a small quantity of powdered solder adjacent to the pads can join the aggregation process to obtain a uniform, low-volume SoP array on the substrate, regardless of the pad configurations. Through this process, an SoP array on an organic substrate with a pitch of $130{\mu}m$ is successfully formed.
Recently, the construction of infrastructures has been booming and accelerating to keep up with rapid economic growth. Construction activities and operation of transportation facilities cause unfavorable effects such as civil petitions associated with vibration-induced damages or nuisances. The objective of this study is to develop vibration-controlled concrete using various vibration-controlling materials , and also to investigate dynamic properties of concrete beam depending on damage level. Vibration-controlled mixtures are latex, rubber powder and plastic resin, which have been determines to by and large reduce vibration. KS F2437 has been used to figure out 1st natural frequency and dynamic flexural rigidity. Dynamic damping rations have been, computed by adopting the polynomial curvefitting method on the frequency spectrum curve, of which results have been compared and analyzed hereon
