순환골재 미분말을 알칼리 자극제로 활용한 고로슬래그 미분말 혼입 콘크리트의 강도증진에 관한 실험적 연구 (A Experimental Study on the Strength Improvement of Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag Concrete Using Recycled Aggregate Powder as Alkali-activator)

  • 본 연구에서는 순환골재 생산시 발생되는 미분말을 고로슬래그 미분말의 알칼리 자극제로 활용하기 위해 배합수에 일부 혼입하여 강알칼리성을 띄게 한 후, 고로슬래그 미분말을 단계별로 치환한 콘크리트의 물리적 특성에 미치는 영향을 종합적으로 분석하였다. 그 결과 순환골재 미분말의 침지시간이 5시간일 때 전 시험편에서 가장 높은 pH가 측정되어 알칼리 자극제로서 활용가능성이 가장 높은 침지 시간임을 확인할 수 있었으며, 순환골재 미분말을 3% 혼입시킨 시험배합수가 1% 혼입시킨 배합수에 비하여 약 15mg/l이상의 $Ca(OH)_2$을 더 함유한 것으로 나타내었다. 순환골재 미분말을 혼입시킨 배합수를 사용한 경우 일반배합수를 사용한 경우와 비교하여 전 재령에서 강도발현이 더 우수한 것으로 나타났으며, 조기재령과 장기재령 모두 순환골재 미분말의 알칼리 자극효과가 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • This study was designed to evaluate the influences of evaporation of liquid of dental cements by drying during long term using. Zinc phosphate cement, polycarboxylate cement, and glass ionomer cement were used, and evaluated the properties as follows; consistency, setting time, film thickness, solubility, and compressive strength according to the ADA specification. The specimens of control group were made by mixing the newly opened liquid using the powder-liquid ratio recommended by the manufacturer, and the specimens of ES groups were made by mixing the 10% evaporated liquid by drying with the powder-liquid ratio recommeded by the manufacturer, and the specimens of EM group were made by mixing the 10% evaporated liquid with the powder-liquid ratio modified for standard consistency. The following conclusions were drawn ; 1. The viscosity of mixture of all kinds of cements were increased by the evaporation of liquid, especially the viscosity of glass ionomer cement were influenced significantly. 2. The amount of liquid should be increased to get a standard consistency at the using of evaporated liquid of cement, the most significant increase of liquid amount was required on Ketac-Cem. 3. The setting times were increased at both cases of mixing of evaporated liquid with powder - liquid ratio recommended by manufacturer or modifided through consistency test. 4. At an experimental group of mixing of the evaporated liquid with powder-liquid ratio recommended by manufacturer, solubility was decreased and film thickness was increased. 5. By the result of evaporation of cement liquid, the compressive strength of polycarboxylate cement was increased slightly and it of glass ionomer cement was increased, however, by the increase of amount of liquid to be possible to manipulate the compressive strength were decreased.

  • 본 연구에서는 상이한 방법을 통하여 제조된 초고분자량 폴리에틸렌 (ultra high molecular polyethylene, UHMWPE)/카올린 복합재료의 마모 특성에 대하여 살펴보았다. 카올린 입자는 중합충전(in-situ polymerization)법과 분말 혼합법의 두 가지 상이한 방법을 통하 UHMWPE와 복합화되었으며 특히 분말 혼합법에서는 입자상으로 구성된 두 재료의 혼합 방법에 따른 입자 분산 및 마모 특성에 대하여 분석하였다. 제조된 복합재료의 마모실험에서 입자 충전에 의하여 내마모성이 크게 향상되었는데 연삭마모가 지배적인 마모기구였으며, 중합충전법이 내마모성 향상에 있어서 분말혼합법에 비하여 효과적이었다. 또한 충전된 입자의 분산 상태와 계면 특성이 내마모성 향상에 중요한 변수임을 확인할 수 있었다.

클로렐라 첨가량을 달리한 반죽의 물성과 식빵의 품질 특성 (Quality Characteristics and Textural Properties of Dough of White Pan Bread with Added Chlorella Powder)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the characteristics of bread and the rheology of flour dough containing chlorella powder(0%, 0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5%, 2.0% and 2.5%). In the farinograph test, the addition of chlorella powder changed water absorption, development time and mixing tolerance index for making bread. As the amount of chlorella powder increased, the water absorption increased, mixing tolerance index and the development time decreased. In the extensograph test, the degree of extension and resistance was decreased with increasing of chlorella powder content. In the amylograph test, the maximum viscosity was slightly decreased with increasing of chlorella powder contents. The colors of L value in bread crumb was significantly decreased as the chlorella powder addition. After fermentation treatment, The dough with 2.5% chlorella powder showed the lowest dough raising power compared to the other doughs. The addition of the chlorella powder had significant effect on bread texture. The bread consisting of 0.5% chlorella powder showed the highest volume of loaf and specific volume. Therefore, high quality of bread can be achieved by adding chlorella powder.

산화물환원에 의한 W-15wt%Cu 나노복합분말의 합성과 특성 (Synthesis and Characteristics of W-l5wt%Cu Nanocomposite Powder by Oxide Reduction)

  • The synthesis of W-l5wt%Cu nanocomposite powder by hydrogen reduction of ball milled W-Cu oxide mixture was investigated in terms of powder characteristics such as particle size, mixing homogeneity and micropore structure. It is found that the micropores in the ball milled oxide (2-50 nm in size) act as an effective removal path of water vapor, followed by the formation of dry atmosphere at reaction zone. Such thermodynamic condition enhances the nucleation of W phase but suppresses the growth process, being in favor of the formation of W nanoparticles (about 21 nm in size). In addition, the superior mixing homogeneity of starting oxide mixture turned out to Play a significant role for forming extraordinary chemical homogeneity of W-l5wt%Cu nanocomposite powder.

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the optimal mixing ratios of three different amounts of green tea powder, sugar and water for preparation of Sulgiduk through Response Surface Methodology based on the color, sensory, and texture test. The green tea powder levels were included 0.5∼1.0%, water levels were included 15∼25% and sugar levels were included 5∼15% per weight of rice powder. The optimal mixing ratios of a green tea powder, sugar and water for manufacturing the best quality of Sulgiduk were 1.0%, 12% and 22%, respectively.

Therefore, CAE technology is considered as one of core technologies for PIM industry in the future. Recently many researchers are developing not only CAE software itself but also application procedures of CAE software. In this study, the applications for CAE technology in PIM industry are presented including feedstock mixing effect, several cases of troubleshooting and optimization procedure.

  • Small powder size is very useful in achieving detailed structures. STS 316 nanopowders with an average diameter of 100 nm and $5{\mu}m$ were utilized to produce feedstock. The mixing behavior of the feedstock indicated that the nanoparticle feedstock produced the highest mixing torque at various powder loading compared to the micropowder feedstock. The nanoparticles feedstocks showed that elastic properties are dominant in flow behavior and high viscosity. Conversely the micropowders feedstocks, viscous properties are dominant in flow behavior and less viscosity, nanopowders feedstock perform lower flow activation energy than feedstock with bigger particles.

Production of Ultra-fine Metal Powder with Gas Atomization Processes

  • Experimental results of the metal powder production with internal mixing, internal impinging and the atomizer coupled with substrate design are presented in this paper. In a test with internal mixing atomizer, mean powder size was decreased from $37{\mu}m\;to\;23{\mu}m$ for Pb65Sn35 alloy as the gas-to-melt mass ratio was increased from 0.04 to 0.17. The particle size further reduces to $16.01{\mu}m$ as the orifice area is increased to $24mm^2$. The micrograph of the metal powder indicates that very fine and spherical metal powder has been produced by this process. In a test program using the internal impinging atomizers, the mean particle size of the metal powder was decreased from $22{\mu}m\;to\;12{\mu}m$ as the gas-to-melt-mass ratio increased from 0.05 to 0.22. The test results of an atomizer coupled with a substrate indicates that the deposition rate of the molten spray on the substrate is controlled by the diameter of the substrate, the height of the substrate ring and the distance of the substrate from the outlet of the atomizer. This in rum determines the powder production rate of the spraying processes. Experimental results indicate that the deposition rate of the spray forming material decreases as the distance between the substrate and the atomizer increases. For example, the deposition rate decreases from 48% to 19% as the substrate is placed at a distance from 20cm to 40cm. On the other hand, the metal powder production rate and its particle size increases as the subsrate is placed far away from the atomizer. The production of metal powder with mean particle size as low as $3.13{\mu}m$ has been achieved, a level which is not achievable by the conventional gas atomization processes.

  • We report on the effects of mixing of powders with various particle sizes on fracture toughness and wear resistance of thermally sprayed WC-10Co-4Cr coating layers fabricated by HVOF (high-velocity oxygen fuel) process. The size and the mixing ratio of powders were changed in order to get high fracture toughness and wear resistance. The mixing of small amount of coarse powders with fine powders resulted in the highest fracture toughness and wear resistance due to the lowest porosity in coating layers.
