PV 시스템의 효율 최적화를 위한 추적 시스템 개발 (Tracking System Development for Optimal Efficiency of PV System)

  • In this paper, it proposes a the high efficiency tracking system regarding power loss when operating a tracking system for environment variable such as a rapidly changing insolation to improve the power of PV tracking system. In case of tracking an azimuth and altitude of the sun in realtime, therefore, the actual PV power is less increasing than the power of tracking system fixed a specific position. To reduce the power loss, this paper proposes a nonel control algorithm of the tracking system. The paper is analyzed efficiency about conventional PV tracking method, comparing proposed algorithm with high performance method. We show propriety of proposed algorithm by means of the demonstrable study.

  • There have been many solar tracking systems developed for the high accuracy in solar tracking. One of the key components of any motion control system is software. LabVIEW offers an ideal combination of flexibility, ease-of-use and well-integration with other I/O pieces for developing solar tracking system. Real-time solar positions which vary with GPS's data are used simultaneously to control the solar tracker by a chain of operating modes between the open and closed loops. This paper introduces a step by step procedure for the fabrication and performance assessment of a precision solar tracking system. The system developed in this study consists of motion controllers, motor drives, step-motors, feedback devices and application. CRD sensors are applied for the solar tracking system which play a primary role in poor conditions for tracking due to a gear backlash and a strong wind. Mini-dish was used as a concentrator for collecting sun light. The solar position data, in terms of azimuth and elevation, sunrise and sunset times was compared with those of KASI(Korea Astronomy & Space Science Institute). The results presented in this paper demonstrate the accuracy of the present system in solar tracking and utilization.

  • There have been many developed systems for harnessing the solar energy such as solar water heaters, solar thermal power systems, PV systems, daylighting and solar hydrogen systems. all of them are capable of reducing $CO_2$ emission. However, the efficiency of those systems which work without a solar tracker is lower. This paper is a step by step procedure for fabrication and a performance test of a solar tracking system.   • Among the position sensing methods available, the arc sensor which utilizes the electrical signal obtained from the welding arc itself is one of the most prevalently used methods, because it has an advantage that no particular sensing device is necessary and real-time sensing of a groove position is possible directly under the arc. The authors have already developed a seam tracking system that contains a new arc sensor algorithm, which uses the relative welding current variation according to the tip-to-workpiece distance in GMA welding. In this study a torch height control algorithm for automatic weld seam tracking was proposed for completing the previous system, which uses an on-off control technique. To implement the torch height control algorithm during weld seam tracking the system parameters which include 2nd averaging range, weighting factor for 2nd moving averaging, and Z-directional basic compensation distance were determined by experimental analysis. Finally the two different height control methods, one is simple on-off control and the other on-off control using a reference current value , were compared in their tracking abilities.

높이 변화가 있는 막대기 용접선 추적용 시각센서 (Vision Sensor System for Weld Seam Tracking of I-Butt Joint with Height Variation)

  • In this study, a visual sensor system which can detect I-butt weld joint with height variation and includes a seam tracking algorithm was investigated. Three-dimensional position of an object can be acquired by using the method of distance measurement, i.e., an optical trigonometry which results from the spatial relations between the camera, the object and the structured light by a visible laser. Effects of laser intensity and iris number for the image quality as well as object material were investigated for the optical system design. For the image processing, a region of interest is defined from the whole image and a line image of laser is drew by using the gray level difference in the image. From the drew laser line, the weld joint can be recognized in searching the biggest point position calculated from the central difference method. Through a series of welding experiments, a good tracking performance was confirmed under GMA welding.

영상표식 기반의 로봇 매니퓰레이터 끝점 위치 제어 (Tip Position Control of a Robot Manipulator using Visual Markers)

  • This paper proposes tip position control system which uses a visual marker to determine the tip position of a robot manipulator. The main idea of this paper is to introduce visual marker for the tracking control of a robot manipulator. Existing researches utilize stationary markers to get pattern information from them. Unlike existing researches, we introduce visual markers to get the coordinates of them in addition to their pattern information. Markers need not be stationary and the extracted coordinate of markers are used as a reference trajectory for the tracking control of a robot manipulator. To build the proposed control scheme, we first obtain intrinsic parameters through camera calibration and evaluate their validity. Secondly, we present a procedure to obtain the relative coordinate of a visual marker with respect to a camera. Thirdly, we derive the equation for the kinematics of the SCORBOTER 4pc manipulator which we use for control of manipulator. Also, we provide a flow diagram of entire visual marker tracking system. The feasibility of the proposed scheme will be demonstrated through real experiments.

다양한 특징 매칭을 이용한 움직이는 물체 추적 시스템에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Moving Object Tracking System Using Multi-feature Matching)

  • 비디오 감시 시스템에서 물체의 추적은 매우 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 외부 환경에서 움직이는 물체를 추적하는 방법을 제안한다. 움직이는 물체를 추적하기 위하여 먼저 가중치 차 영상을 구하여 움직이는 물체를 추출한 후 다시 닫힘 연산을 사용하여 잡음을 제거한다. 그리고 추출된 다양한 특징 정보로 매칭하여 움직이는 물체를 추적한다. 제안된 추적 방법은 가중치 차 영상을 사용하여 움직이는 물체를 추적하기에 정지된 물체가 갑자기 움직이거나 갑자기 멈출 때도 정확히 추적할 수 있다. 본 논문에서 제안한 추적 시스템은 공간위치, 형상과 명암도 특징을 종합하기에 움직이는 물체를 보다 더 효과적으로 추적할 수 있다.

신경회로망을 이용한 공압구동기의 위치 추종제어에 관한 연구 (A Study on Tracking Position Control of Pneumatic Actuators Using Neural Network)

  • 공압구동기는 다양한 형태의 위험작업 환경하에서 사용되고 있다. 또한, 공압구동기를 적용한 공정은 일반적으로 환경친화적인 것으로 인식되고 있다. 대부분의 경우, 공압구동기는 point to point 제어에 사용된다. 그러나, 최근 공압구동기의 정밀 위치제어에 관한 많은 연구가 수행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 비례밸브로 구성된 공압구동기의 추종위치제어에 관하여 논의한다. 제안되는 제어기는 압력제어 루프와 위치제어 루프로 구성된다. 공기의 압축성에 기인한 비선형성을 상쇄하기 위하여 되먹임선형화에 의한 PID제어기가 압력제어 루프에 사용된다. 위치제어에는 신경회로망을 사용하여 비선형성을 보상한 PID제어기가 사용된다. 실험결과에 의하면, 제안된 제어기는 공압구동기의 추종성능을 대폭 향상시킬 수 있는 것으로 나타났다.

A sun tracking control system using two DOF active sensor array

  • In our daily life, the need of energy increases day by day. However, the amount of natural resources on the earth is limited and thus gaining renewable energy as an energy resource is one of the important and urgent problems. Solar energy is one of the most popular available energy sources that can be converted into electricity by using solar panels. In order for solar panels to produce maximal output power, the incident angle of the sunlight needs to be persistently perpendicular to the solar panel. By the way, most of the solar panels are installed at fixed position and direction. Therefore, as the sun's position changes, it is impossible to produce maximal output power inevitably. To improve this problem, in this paper, a sun tracking system using two degree-of-freedom (DOF) active sensor array is proposed so that the solar panel may always direct sunlight perpendicularly. And also a series of software, such as a search mode and a holding mode, which can control the developed sun tracking system is developed. Several experiments using the implemented sun tracking system are executed and the effectiveness of the system is verified from the experimental results.

센서식 태양추적시스템의 추적정밀도 평가 (A Performance Evaluation of Sensor Type Sun Tracking System)

  • A parabolic dish concentrator used in a high temperature application of solar energy tracks the sun's movement by two axis sun tracking system. In such a system, sun tracking performance affects the system efficiency directly. Generally the higher the tracking accuracy is, the better the system performance is. A large number of parabolic dish type concentrators has been developed and implemented in the world. However none of them clearly provided a qualitative method of how the accuracy of the sun tracking system can be evaluated. The work presented here is the evaluation of sun tracking performance of parabolic dish concentrator, which follows the sun's movement by the sensor, using a computer vision system. We install a camera on the parabolic dish concentrator. While the concentrator follows the sun, sun's images are captured continuously. Then the performance of sun tracking system was evaluated by analyzing the variation of the position of the sun in the captured images.
