MMA/BA 합성 라텍스 혼입 폴리머 시멘트 모르타르의 성질 (Properties of Polymer-Modified Cement Mortars Using Methylmethacrylate - Butyl Acrylate Latexes)

  • The Purpose of this study is to clarify the effect of the monomer ratio on properties of the polymer-modified mortars using methyl methacrylate-butyl acrylate latexes, and to obtain basic data necessary to develop appropriate latexes for cement modifiers. This paper deals with the effect of the monomer ratio on the typical properties of polymer-modified mortars with methyl methacrylate-butyl acrylate latexes. The polymer latex-modified mortars are prepared with 5, 10, IS and 20% of polymer cement ratio respectively, and properties of modified mortars such as water absorption, compressive and flexural strengths, chloride-ion penetration depth are tested. The test results indicate that the monomer ratio is very important factors to characterize the strength properties of polymer-modified mortars, but the water absorption and chloride-ion penetration depth are influenced by polymer-cement ratio rather than monomer ratios.

아크릴 개질 초속경 폴리머 시멘트 콘크리트의 강도 특성 (Strength Properties of Ultrarapid-Hardening Acrylic-Modified Concrete)

  • 본 연구는 초속경 아크릴 개질 폴리머 시멘트 콘크리트의 강도 특성에 미치는 폴리머-시멘트비의 영향을 검토한 것이다. 그 결과, 초속경 아크릴 개질 폴리머 시멘트 콘크리트의 윔 및 인장강도는 폴리머-시멘트비의 증가에 따라 증가하였다. 특히 폴리머-시멘트비 20%의 휨 및 인장강도는 폴리머를 혼입하지 않은 콘크리트보다 1.5배 이상의 강도발현을 나타냈다. 이와 같은 강도발현은 아크릴 에멀젼을 혼입함으로써 시멘트 수화물과 골재사이의 부착력이 증가되기 때문이라 판단된다.

  • Recent impervious pavements on roads and sidewalks cause rainwater to not penetrate into the ground, deplete groundwater, or flood the rivers, causing urban flood damage. In order to solve these problems, the amount of installed pitcher block is increasing, but the existing pitcher block is made with cement base and causes many problems. In the cement permeable block, the efflorescene phenomenon occurs due to the acid component, and the pore of the permeable block is clogged and the permeability is lost. As a result, the service life of the pitcher block is shortened and the replacement period is shortened. The purpose of this study is to analyze the basic properties of polymer concrete by replacing cement with polymer in order to solve the problem of cement - based concrete permeable block.

EVA와 초조강시멘트를 사용한 폴리머 시멘트 슬러리 도장철근의 부착강도에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Bond Strength of Coated Rebar by Polymer Cement Slurry Made of EVA and Ultra High-Early Strength Cement)

  • 본 연구는 EVA와 초조강시멘트로 만든 폴리머 시멘트 슬러리(PCS)로 도장한 도장철근의 부착강도 개선에 영향을 미치는 PCS 도장재 배합에 관한 연구로 도장두께, 폴리머 시멘트비, 도장재의 양생재령을 변화시켜 배합을 설정하여 부착강도 시험을 실시하였다. 본 연구결과, PCS 도장철근의 부착강도는 거의 모든 배합에서 도장하지 않은 보통철근 및 에폭시철근에 비해 높은 부착강도를 나타냈는데 도장철근의 최대 부착강도는 보통철근에 비해 1.32배, 에폭시철근에 비해 1.38배 높게 나타났다. 도장두께는 대체로 얇은 도장두께인 $75{\mu}m$$100{\mu}m$에서 부착강도가 높게 나타났으며 폴리머 시멘트비에 따른 영향은 크게 나타나지 않았으나, 내구성면에서 폴리머 시멘트비를 80~100% 범위를 확보하는 것을 제안할 수 있었다. 또한 도장재의 양생재령에 있어서는 7일에서 가장 높은 부착강도를 나타냈으나, 재령 1일에 있어서도 보통철근과 에폭시철근에 비해 높은 부착강도를 보여 현장 시공성 측면에서 1일 재령을 제안 할 수 있었다.

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the effect of polymer glass transition temperature on mechanical properties of polymer latex-modified mortars in comparison with ordinary cement mortar. The Polymer latex-modified mortars are prepared with 5, 10, 15 and 20% of polymer cement ratio respectively, and properties of modified mortars such as air content, compressive, flexural and tensile strengths are tested. The test results indicate that the types of polymer dispersion and the polymer-cement ratio are very important factors to characterize the properties of polymer-modified mortars, and also the glass transition temperature of polymer dispersions has an important effect on the performance of polymer-modified mortars. The modifying effects of two kinds of polymer dispersion, St/BA-1 and SBR, are evaluated.

EVA 마이크로 입자를 활용한 고강도 콘크리트의 미세구조특성 (Microstructure Properties of High Strength Concrete Utilizing EVA with Micro Particles)

  • High strength concretes utilizing EVA with micro particles were prepared by varying polymer/binder mass ratio and curing conditions with a constant water/binder mass ratio of 0.3. The EVA modified concretes on the compressive and flexural strength, microstructure, ultrapulse modulus in curing condition(dry and water curing) were studied. Also, scanning electron microscope analysis(SEM) was performed to reveal the presence of polymer film and cement hydrates in the concrete. The compressive strength of the EVA modified concretes cured at water conditions ere higher than that of the EVA modified concretes cured at dry conditions. But, the flexural strength of the specimens cured at dry conditions were higher than that of the specimens cured at water conditions. Due to the interaction of the cement hydrates and polymer film, an interpenetrating network originated in which the aggregates were embedded. The curing of the polymer modified concrete involves two step of cement hydrates and polymer modification, and cement hydrates was promoted in water conditions and polymer film formation take place when water evaporates and was thereby was favored in dry conditions. By SEM analysis, influences of polymer modification was strengthening of the transition zone between the aggregate and the paste, and the porosity of transition zone decreases. By spring analysis, it could known that polymer film affects in porosity decrease and strengthening of transition zone.

Bend Resistance of Polymer Cement Slurry Coated Reinforcing Bars

  • The bend resistance of coated reinforcing bar is greatly influenced by both the adhesion strength between bar and coating materials, and the followed transformation of coating material as bars bend. Especially, tearing state or partial microscopic cracks are predicted on the inside and outside of bending angle, because tensile strength and elongation of polymer film are very different according to types of polymer dispersions in bar coating, and these damaged parts are rapidly corroded by penetration of corrosive factors. In this study, polymer cement slurry coated reinforcing bars with various polymer dispersions are prepared by following combined conditions, polymer-cement ratio of 50% and 100%, coating thickness of 250$\mu$m and 450$\mu$m, coating number, curing age of 3, 7, 14 and 28days. Then the specimens are tested for working life and bend resistance at bending angles $90^{\circ}$, $135^{\circ}$and $180^{\circ}$ to observe the microscopic damage effect as the bars bend. Also, epoxy-coated reinforcing bars for control experiment were used with 250$\mu$m of coating thickness. The tensile strength for polymer films is performed. From the test results, the working life of the polymer cement slurry is within 90 seconds. Among four types of polymer dispersion, polymer cement slurry coated reinforcing bar using St/BA-1 emulsion has the excellent bend resistance, which is remarkably improved than that of epoxy-coated reinforcing bar. And the bend resistance is more related to elongation than tensile strength of polymer film. Polymer cement slurry with a polymer-cement ratio of 100%, a coating thickness of $450\mu$m and one coating using St/BA emulsion is selected as a most suitable coating material for coated reinforcing bar.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the properties of cement mortar with PVA(Poy Vinyl Alcohol) and MC(Methyl Cellulos). In this paper, Water-soluble polymer cement motar using PVA and MC with water-cement ratio of 50%, polymer-cement ratio of 1.0%, 0.8% and a ratio of cement to fine aggregate (size: #5, #7) 2:3 are prepared, and tested for compressive strength, shear bond strength, flow test, penetration and dry-shirinkage.

재유화형 분말수지를 혼입한 초속경 폴리머시멘트 모르타르의 건조수축 및 강도특성 (Drying Shrinkage and Strength Properties of Ultrarapid-Hardening Polymer-Modified Mortar Using Redispersible Polymer Powder)

  • 본 연구에서는 재유화형 분말수지를 혼입한 초속경 폴리머 시멘트 모르타르의 공기량, 응결시간, 건조수축 및 강도특성에 미치는 분말소포제 첨가율 및 분말 수축저감제 첨가량의 영향에 대하여 검토하였다. 그 결과, 재유화형 분말수지를 혼입한 초속경 폴리머 시멘트 모르타르의 공기량은 분말소포제 첨가율 및 폴리머-시멘트비의 증가에 따라 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 재유화형 분말수지를 혼입한 초속경 폴리머 시멘트 모르타르의 응결시간은 분말소포제 첨가율에 관계없이 폴리머-시멘트비의 증가에 따라 늦어지는 경향을 보였다. 재유화형 분말수지를 혼입한 초속경 폴리머 시멘트 모르타르의 건조수축은 분말소포제 첨가율에 관계없이 폴리머-시멘트비 및 분말 수축저감제 첨가율의 증가에 따라 감소하는 경향을 보였다.또한 분말소포제 첨가율 및 분말수축저감제 첨가율에 관계없이 재유화형 분말수지를 혼입한 초속경 폴리머 시멘트 모르타르의 휨 및 인장강도는 폴리머-시멘트비의 증가에 따라 증가하는 경향을 보였으나, 압축강도는 감소하는 경향을 보였다.

  • The effects of polymer-cement ratio, antifoamer content and shrinkage-reducing agent content on the setting time and drying shrinkage of high-fluidity polymer-modified mortars using redispersible polymer powder are examined. As a result, the setting time of the high-fluidity polymer-modified mortars using redispersible polymer powder tend to delayed with increasing polymer-cement ratio, regardless of the antifoamer conten,. Irrespective of the antifoamer content, the drying shrinkage of the high-fluidity polymer-modified mortars using redispersible polymer powder tend to decrease with increasing polymer-cement ratio and shrinkage-reducing agent content.
