3D printing technology is an additive manufacturing technology produced through 3D scanning or modeling method. This technology can be produced in a short time without mold, which has recently been applied in earnest in various fields. In the medical field, 3D printing technology is used in various fields of radiology and radiation therapy, but related research is insufficient in the field of nuclear medicine. In this study, we compare the characteristics of traditional nuclear medicine phantom with 3D printing technology and evaluate its applicability in clinical trials. We manufactured the same size phantom of poly methyl meta acrylate(PMMA) and acrylonitrile butadiene styrene(ABS) based on the aluminum step wedge. We used BrightView XCT(Philips Health Care, Cleveland, USA) SPECT/CT. We acquired 60 min list mode for Aluminum, PMMA and ABS phantoms using Rectangular Flood Phantom (Biodex, New York, USA) 99mTcO4 3 mCi(111 MBq), 6 mCi (222MBq) and 57Co Flood phantom(adq, New Hampshire, USA). For the analysis of acquired images, the region of interest(ROI) were drawn and evaluated step by step for each phantom. Depending on the type of radioisotope and radiation dose, the counts of the ABS phantom was similar to that of the PMMA phantom. And as the step thickness increased, the counts decreased linearly. When comparing the linear attenuation coefficient of Aluminum, PMMA and ABS phantom, the linear attenuation coefficient of the aluminium phantom was higher than that of the others, and the PMMA and ABS phantom had similar the linear attenuation coefficient. Based on ABS phantom manufactured by 3D printing technology, as the thickness of the PMMA phantom increased, the counts and linear attenuation coefficient decreased linearly. It has been confirmed that ABS phantom is applicable in the clinical field of nuclear medicine. If the calibration factor is applied through further research, it is believed that practical application will be possible.
The copolymerization of N-acryloylpyrrolidone and acrylonitrile was performed in N,N'-dimethylformamide at 50$^{\circ}$C and monomer reactivity ratio was obtained by using IR working curve and Fineman and Ross equation. ($r_1$ = 0.43, $r_2$ = 1.56) It is found that resulting copolymer is good polymeric initiator for anionic graft copolymerization of 2-pyrrolidone. Graft copolymers with polybutylamide (nylon-4) grafts onto poly(NAP-Co-AN) backbone were synthesized and the various effects on the graft copolymerization of 2-pyrrolidone were examined. The rate constants ($K_p$) of graft anionic polymerization at 40 and 50$^{\circ}$C were 2.82${\times}$10 and 2.93${\times}$10(l/mole, min), respectively.
The adsorption equilibrium properties of bovine serum albumin(BSA-protein) for three kinds of porous microgels with different physical and chemical features were investigated. The adsorption amount of BSA-protein on poly(butyl methacrylate)(PBMA) microgels was higher than those on poly(vinyl pyridine)(PVP) and poly(acrylonitrile) (PAN) microgels due to the hydrophobic interaction between polymer and protein in an aqueous solution. And PBMA microgels had more irreversible adsorption equilibrium properties the PVP and PAN microgels. It implies that hydrophobic interaction plays a more important role in adsorption properties of BAS-protein than physical properties of polymer and electrostatic attraction between protein and polymer microgels. Characteristics of the microgels used in this study followed Langmuir equation better than the Freundlich equation.
Poly(alkyl acrylate-g-caprolactone) graft copolymers were prepared, and they were applied as compatibilizing agents for polycarbonate (PC) / poly(acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene) (ABS) blends. The incompatible poly(alkyl acrylate) segment was incorporated into the graft copolymer in order to localize the copolymer at the PC/ABS interface. The blend containing 1 phr of the copolymer showed remarkable improvement in impact strength as well as in elongation at break. Impact improvement was more pronounced with a thinner test specimens of 1/8 inch thickness. Morphological study showed that the presence of the graft copolymer led to a smoother PC/ABS interface due to the interfacial enrichment of the graft copolymer.
Poly-lactic acid (PLA) is the most promising polymer in additive manufacturing as an alternative to acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS). Since it is produced from renewable resources such as corn starch and sugar beets, it is also biocompatible and biodegradable. However, PLA has a couple of issues that limit its use. First, it has a comparatively low glass transition temperature of around 60 ℃, such that it exhibits low thermal resistance. Second, PLA has low impact strength because it is brittle. Due to these problems, scientists have found methods to improve the crystallinity and ductility of PLA. Polyethylene glycol (PEG) is one of the most studied plasticizers for PLA to give it chain mobility. However, the blend of PLA and PEG becomes unstable, and phase separation occurs even at room temperature as PEG is self-crystallized. Thus, it is necessary to investigate the optimal mixing ratio of PLA-PEG at the molecular scale. In this study, molecular dynamics will be conducted with various ratios of L-type PLA (PLLA) or DL-type PLA-PEG (PDLA-PEG) systems by using BIOVIA Materials Studio.
Electrospinning is a technique that produces sub-micron sized continuous fibers by electric force from polymer solutions or melts. Due to its versatile manufacturability and the cost effectiveness, this method has been recently adopted for the fabrication of one-dimensional materials. Here, we fabricated polyacrylonitrile (PAN) polymer fibers, from which uniform carbon fibers with diameters of 100-200 nm were obtained after carbonization at 800 $^{\circ}C$ in N$_2$. Special emphasis was directed to the influence of the phase separated polymer solution on the morphology and the microstructure of the resulting carbon fiber. The addition of poly(stylene-co-acrylonitile) (SAN) makes the polymer solution phase separated, which allows for the formation of internal pores by its selective elimination after electrospinning. XPS and Raman Spectroscopy were used to confirm the surface composition and the degree of carbonization. At the PAN:SAN = 50:50 in vol%, the uniform carbon fibers with diameters of 300$\sim$500 nm and surface area of 131.6 m$^2$g$^{-1}$ were obtained.

Monodisperse porous poly(styrene-co-divinylbenzene)(St-DVB) gel and poly(acrylonitrile-co-ethylene dimethacrylate)(AN-EDMA) gel have been prepared by seed polymerization using polystyrene seeds, which were prepared by dispersion polymerization. The St-DVB and AN-EDMA gels had a narrow size distribution and pores suitable for packing materials of HPLC. The columns packed with these gels were proved to have high efficiency for GPC or HPLC coluuns. Adsorption properties of $Cu^{2+}$, $Cd^{2+}$ and ${UO_2}^{2+}$ ions on AAN-EDMA gel prepared from amidoximation of AN-EDMA gel were also determined.

In order to suppress a repulsive interfacial energy between hydrophilic clay and hydrophobic polymer matrix in preparing a polymer/clay nanocomposite, a third component of amphiphilic nature such as poly($\varepsilon$-caprolactone) (PCL) was introduced into the model system of styrene-acrylonitrile copolymers (SAN)/Na-montmorillonite. Once $\varepsilon$-caprolactone was polymerized in the presence of Na-rnontmorillonite, the successful ring-opening polymerization of $\varepsilon$-caprolactone and the well-developed exfoliated structure of PCL/Na-montmorillonite mixture were confirmed, Thereafter, SAN was melt-mixed with PCL/Na-montmorillonite nanocomposite, which resulted in that SAN matrix and PCL fraction were completely miscible to form homogeneous mixture with retention of the exfoliated state of Na-montmorillonite, exhibiting that PCL effectively stabilizes the repulsive polymer/clay interface and contributes the improvement of mechanical properties of the nanocomposites.

The theophylline imprinted membrane was prepared by a wet phase inversion method. Theophylline was implanted during copolymerization of acrylonitrile with acrylic acid or implanted in the dimethyl sulfoxide solution containing10 wt% copolymer, p(AN-co-AA). Rolling the glass plate, on which the copolymer solution was cast, in water removed the sponge layer and thus made the membrane symmetric. The adsorption selectivity of the membrane toward template molecule was increased with the coagulation temperature of the membrane and the initial concentration of the theophylline and caffeine mixture.
